Psalmaro 82

1 Psalmo de Asaf. Dio stariĝis en Dia anaro; Inter la dioj Li juĝas.

“A psalm of Asaph.” God standeth in God's assembly, He judgeth in the midst of the gods.

2 Ĝis kiam vi juĝos maljuste, Kaj privilegios la personojn de malvirtuloj? (Sela)

“How long will ye judge unjustly, And favor the cause of the wicked? (Pause)

3 Estu justaj al malriĉulo kaj orfo; Rilate afliktiton kaj senhavulon estu virtaj.

Defend the poor and the fatherless; Do justice to the wretched and the needy!

4 Liberigu malriĉulon kaj mizerulon; El la mano de malvirtulo ilin savu.

Deliver the poor and the destitute; Save them from the hand of the wicked!

5 Ili ne scias kaj ne komprenas, En mallumo ili marŝas; Ekŝanceliĝis ĉiuj fundamentoj de la tero.

They are without knowledge and without understanding; They walk in darkness: Therefore all the foundations of the land are shaken.

6 Mi diris: Vi estas dioj, Kaj ĉiuj vi estas filoj de la Plejaltulo;

I have said, Ye are gods, And all of you children of the Most High;

7 Sed vi mortos, kiel homoj, Kaj vi falos, kiel ĉiu el la potenculoj.

But ye shall die like men, And fall like the rest of the princes.”

8 Leviĝu, ho Dio, juĝu la teron; Ĉar Vi heredas ĉiujn popolojn.

Arise, O God! judge the earth! For all the nations are thy possession.
