1 Al la ĥorestro. Por kordaj instrumentoj. Psalmo de Asaf. Kanto. Dio estas konata en Judujo; Granda estas Lia nomo en Izrael.

Unto the end. With Praises. A Psalm of Asaph. A Canticle to the Assyrians. In Judea, God is known. In Israel, his name is great.

2 En Salem estas Lia tendo, Kaj Lia loĝejo sur Cion.

And his place has been formed with peace. And his dwelling place is in Zion.

3 Tie Li rompis la sagojn de pafarko, Ŝildon, glavon, kaj militon. (Sela)

In that place, he has broken the powers of the bows, the shield, the sword, and the battle.

4 Vi estas majesta kaj potenca sur la sovaĝbestaj montoj.

You illuminate wondrously from the mountains of eternity.

5 Senarmiĝis la fortkoruloj, endormiĝis; Kaj ĉiuj militistoj restis kvazaŭ sen manoj.

All the foolish of heart have been disturbed. They have slept their sleep, and all the men of riches have found nothing in their hands.

6 De Via minaco, ho Dio de Jakob, Paraliziĝis rajdisto kaj ĉevalo.

At your rebuke, O God of Jacob, those who were mounted on horseback have fallen asleep.

7 Vi, Vi estas timinda; Kaj kiu restos staranta antaŭ Vi, kiam ekflamas Via kolero?

You are terrible, and so, who can withstand you? From thence is your wrath.

8 El la ĉielo Vi aŭdigis juĝon; La tero ektimis kaj eksilentis,

You have caused judgment to be heard from heaven. The earth trembled and was quieted,

9 Kiam Dio leviĝis, por juĝi, Por savi ĉiujn humilulojn sur la tero. (Sela)

when God rose up in judgment in order to bring salvation to all the meek of the earth.

10 Ĉar la kolero de homo fariĝas Via gloro, Kiam Vi zonas Vin per la resto de Via kolero.

For the thinking of man will confess to you, and the legacy of his thinking will keep a feast day to you.

11 Faru kaj plenumu promesojn al la Eternulo, via Dio; Vi ĉiuj, kiuj Lin ĉirkaŭas, alportu donacojn al la Timindulo.

Make vows and pay them to the Lord, your God. All you who surround him bring gifts: to him who is terrible,

12 Li humiligis la spiriton de potenculoj; Li estas timinda por la reĝoj de la tero.

even to him who takes away the spirit of leaders, to him who is terrible with the kings of the earth.
