Psalmaro 27

1 De David. La Eternulo estas mia lumo kaj mia savo; kiun mi devas timi? La Eternulo estas la forto de mia vivo; kiu povas min teruri?

A Psalme of David. The Lord is my light and my saluation, whom shall I feare? the Lord is the strength of my life, of whome shall I be afraide?

2 Kiam alproksimiĝos al mi malbonfarantoj, por manĝi mian karnon, Miaj kontraŭuloj kaj malamikoj, ili surpuŝiĝos kaj falos.

When the wicked, euen mine enemies and my foes came vpon mee to eate vp my flesh; they stumbled and fell.

3 Se elpaŝos kontraŭ min armeo, Mia koro ne ektimos; Se leviĝos kontraŭ min milito, Ankaŭ tiam mi havos fidon.

Though an hoste pitched against me, mine heart should not be afraide: though warre be raised against me, I will trust in this.

4 Nur unu aferon mi petas de la Eternulo, nur tion mi deziras: Ke mi restu en la domo de la Eternulo en la daŭro de mia tuta vivo, Por rigardi la ĉarmon de la Eternulo, admiri Lian templon.

One thing haue I desired of the Lord, that I will require, euen that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the dayes of my life, to beholde the beautie of the Lord, and to visite his Temple.

5 Ĉar Li kovros min en Sia kabano en la tago de malbono; Li kaŝos min en sekreta loko de Sia tendo; Sur rokon Li levos min.

For in the time of trouble hee shall hide mee in his Tabernacle: in the secrete place of his pauillion shall he hide me, and set me vp vpon a rocke.

6 Kaj nun leviĝos mia kapo super miajn malamikojn, kiuj min ĉirkaŭas; Kaj mi oferfaros en Lia tendo oferojn de danko; Mi kantos kaj gloros la Eternulon.

And nowe shall hee lift vp mine head aboue mine enemies rounde about mee: therefore wil I offer in his Tabernacle sacrifices of ioy: I wil sing and praise the Lord.

7 Aŭskultu, ho Eternulo, mian voĉon, kiam mi vokas; Korfavoru min, kaj respondu al mi.

Hearken vnto my voyce, O Lord, when I crie: haue mercie also vpon mee and heare mee.

8 De Vi diris al mi mia koro: Serĉu Mian vizaĝon. Vian vizaĝon, ho Eternulo, mi serĉas.

When thou saidest, Seeke ye my face, mine heart answered vnto thee, O Lord, I will seeke thy face.

9 Ne kaŝu antaŭ mi Vian vizaĝon, Ne forpuŝu en kolero Vian sklavon; Vi estis mia helpo, Ne forpuŝu kaj ne forlasu min, ho Dio de mia savo.

Hide not therefore thy face from mee, nor cast thy seruat away in displeasure: thou hast bene my succour: leaue me not, neither forsake mee, O God of my saluation.

10 Ĉar mia patro kaj mia patrino min forlasis, Sed la Eternulo min akceptis.

Though my father and my mother shoulde forsake me, yet the Lord will gather me vp.

11 Instruu al mi, ho Eternulo, Vian vojon, Kaj konduku min sur ĝusta irejo, spite miajn insidantojn.

Teache mee thy way, O Lord, and leade me in a right path, because of mine enemies.

12 Ne fordonu min al la volo de miaj premantoj; Ĉar stariĝis kontraŭ mi falsaj atestantoj, plenaj de rabemeco.

Giue me not vnto the lust of mine aduersaries: for there are false witnesses risen vp against me, and such as speake cruelly.

13 Se mi ne esperus vidi la bonecon de la Eternulo En la lando de vivantoj!

I should haue fainted, except I had beleeued to see the goodnes of the Lord in the land of the liuing.

14 Esperu al la Eternulo; Tenu vin forte, forta estu via koro; Jes, esperu al la Eternulo.

Hope in the Lord: be strong, and he shall comfort thine heart, and trust in the Lord.
