Psalmaro 23

1 Psalmo de David. La Eternulo estas mia paŝtisto; mi mankon ne havos.

A psalm of David. The Lord is my shepherd: I am never in need.

2 Sur verdaj herbejoj Li ripozigas min, Apud trankvilaj akvoj Li kondukas min.

He lays me down in green pastures. He gently leads me to waters of rest,

3 Li kvietigas mian animon; Li kondukas min laŭ vojo de la vero, pro Sia nomo.

he refreshes my life. He guides me along paths that are straight, true to his name.

4 Eĉ kiam mi iros tra valo de densa mallumo, Mi ne timos malbonon, ĉar Vi estas kun mi; Via bastono kaj apogiĝilo trankviligos min.

And when my way lies through a valley of gloom, I fear no evil, for you are with me. Your rod and your staff comfort me.

5 Vi kovras por mi tablon antaŭ miaj malamikoj; Vi ŝmiris per oleo mian kapon, mia pokalo estas plenigita.

You spread a table for me in face of my foes; with oil you anoint my head, and my cup runs over.

6 Nur bono kaj favoro sekvos min en la daŭro de mia tuta vivo; Kaj mi restos en la domo de la Eternulo eterne.

Surely goodness and love will pursue me – all the days of my life. In the house of the Lord I will live through the length of the days.
