Psalmaro 121

1 Kanto de suprenirado. Mi levas miajn okulojn al la montoj: De kie venas al mi helpo?

I have lifted up my eyes to the mountains, from whence help shall come to me.

2 Mia helpo venas de la Eternulo, Kiu kreis la ĉielon kaj la teron.

My help is from the Lord, who made heaven and earth.

3 Li ne lasos vian piedon falpuŝiĝi; Via gardanto ne dormetas.

May he not suffer thy foot to be moved: neither let him slumber that keepeth thee.

4 Jen ne dormetas kaj ne dormas La gardanto de Izrael.

Behold he shall neither slumber nor sleep, that keepeth Israel.

5 La Eternulo estas via gardanto; La Eternulo estas via ombro ĉe via dekstra mano.

The Lord is thy keeper, the Lord is thy protection upon thy right hand.

6 En la tago la suno vin ne frapos, Nek la luno en la nokto.

The sun shall not burn thee by day: nor the moon by night.

7 La Eternulo vin gardos de ĉia malbono, Li gardos vian animon.

The Lord keepeth thee from all evil: may the Lord keep thy soul.

8 La Eternulo gardos vian eliron kaj eniron, De nun kaj eterne.

May the Lord keep thy going in and thy going out; from henceforth now and for ever.
