Nombroj 24

1 Ĉar Bileam vidis, ke al la Eternulo plaĉas beni Izraelon, li ne iris, kiel antaŭe, por aŭguri, sed li turnis sian vizaĝon al la dezerto.

When Balaam saw that it pleased the Lord to blesse Israel, then he went not, as certaine times before, to set diuinations, but set his face toward the wildernesse.

2 Kaj Bileam levis siajn okulojn, kaj ekvidis Izraelon, starantan laŭ siaj triboj; kaj la spirito de Dio venis sur lin.

And Balaam lift vp his eyes, and looked vpon Israel, which dwelt according to their tribes, and the Spirit of God came vpon him.

3 Kaj li ekparolis sian inspiritaĵon, kaj diris: Parolas Bileam, filo de Beor, Kaj parolas viro kun malfermita okulo;

And he vttered his parable, and sayd, Balaam the sonne of Beor hath sayde, and the man, whose eyes were shut vp, hath sayd,

4 Parolas tiu, kiu aŭdas la vortojn de Dio, Kaj kiu vidas la vizion de la Plejpotenculo; Li falas, sed malfermitaj estas liaj okuloj.

He hath sayde, which heard the wordes of God, and sawe the vision of the Almightie, and falling in a traunce had his eyes opened:

5 Kiel belaj estas viaj tendoj, ho Jakob, Viaj loĝejoj, ho Izrael!

How goodly are thy tentes, O Iaakob, and thine habitations, O Israel!

6 Kiel valoj ili etendiĝas, Kiel ĝardenoj apud rivero, Kiel arboj aloaj, plantitaj de la Eternulo, Kiel cedroj apud akvo.

As the valleis, are they stretched forth, as gardes by the riuers side, as the aloe trees, which the Lord hath planted, as the cedars beside the waters.

7 Fluos akvo el liaj siteloj, Kaj lia semo estos ĉe multaj akvoj; Superos Agagon lia reĝo, Kaj altiĝos lia regno.

The water droppeth out of his bucket, and his seede shalbe in many waters, and his king shall be hier then Agag, and his kingdome shall bee exalted.

8 Dio, kiu elkondukis lin el Egiptujo, Estas por li kiel la forto de bubalo; Li formanĝas la popolojn, kiuj estas malamikaj al li, Kaj iliajn ostojn li frakasas Kaj per siaj sagoj disbatas.

God brought him out of Egypt: his strength shalbe as an vnicorne: he shall eate the nations his enemies, and bruise their bones, and shoote them through with his arrowes.

9 Li genuiĝis, li kuŝiĝis, Kiel leono kaj kiel leonino; Kiu lin levos? Viaj benantoj estas benataj, Kaj viaj malbenantoj estas malbenataj.

He coucheth and lieth downe as a yong lion, and as a lion: who shall stirre him vp? blessed is he that blesseth thee, and cursed is he that curseth thee.

10 Tiam ekflamis la kolero de Balak kontraŭ Bileam, kaj li kunefrapis siajn manojn; kaj Balak diris al Bileam: Por malbeni miajn malamikojn mi vokis vin, kaj vi nun benis ilin jam tri fojojn!

Then Balak was very angry with Balaam, and smote his handes together: so Balak sayde vnto Balaam, I sent for thee to curse mine enemies, and beholde, thou hast blessed them nowe three times.

11 Kaj nun foriĝu sur vian lokon; mi intencis honori vin, sed jen la Eternulo senigis vin je la honoro.

Therefore nowe flee vnto thy place: I thought surely to promote thee vnto honour, but loe, the Lord hath kept thee backe from honour.

12 Kaj Bileam diris al Balak: Ĉu eĉ al viaj senditoj, kiujn vi sendis al mi, mi ne parolis jene:

Then Balaam answered Balak, Tolde I not also thy messengers, which thou sentest vnto me, saying,

13 Se Balak eĉ donus al mi sian plenan domon da arĝento kaj oro, mi ne povus malobei la ordonon de la Eternulo, farante bonon aŭ malbonon laŭ mia deziro? kion diros la Eternulo, tion mi diros.

If Balak would giue me his house ful of siluer and gold, I can not passe the commandement of the Lord, to doe either good or bad of mine owne minde? what the Lord shall commaund, the same will I speake.

14 Kaj nun mi iras al mia popolo; venu, mi sciigos al vi, kion faros tiu popolo al via popolo en la malproksima venonta tempo.

And nowe behold, I goe vnto my people: come, I will aduertise thee what this people shall doe to thy folke in the later dayes.

15 Kaj li ekparolis sian inspiritaĵon, kaj diris: Parolas Bileam, filo de Beor, Kaj parolas viro kun malfermita okulo;

And he vttered his parable, and sayd, Balaam the sonne of Beor hath sayde, and the man whose eyes were shut vp, hath sayd,

16 Parolas tiu, kiu aŭdas la vortojn de Dio Kaj scias la penson de la Plejaltulo, Kaj kiu vidas la vizion de la Plejpotenculo; Li falas, sed malfermitaj estas liaj okuloj.

He hath said that heard the words of God, and hath the knowledge of the most High, and sawe the vision of the Almightie, and falling in a traunce had his eyes opened:

17 Mi vidas lin, sed ne nun; Mi rigardas lin, sed ne proksime. Eliros stelo el Jakob, Kaj leviĝos sceptro el Izrael, Detruos la randojn de Moab Kaj frakasos ĉiujn filojn de malordo.

I shall see him, but not nowe: I shall behold him, but not neere: there shall come a starre of Iaakob, and a scepter shall rise of Israel, and shall smite the coastes of Moab, and destroy all the sonnes of Sheth.

18 Kaj Edom estos submetito, Kaj Seir estos submetito de siaj malamikoj; Sed Izrael havos venkon.

And Edom shalbe possessed, and Seir shall be a possession to their enemies: but Israel shall do valiantly.

19 Kaj la reganto eliros el Jakob, Kaj li pereigos la restintojn el la urbo.

He also that shall haue dominion shall bee of Iaakob, and shall destroy the remnant of the citie.

20 Kaj li ekvidis Amalekon, kaj li ekparolis sian inspiritaĵon, kaj diris: La unua el la popoloj estis Amalek, Sed lia fino estos pereo.

And when he looked on Amalek, he vttered his parable, and sayd, Amalek was the first of the nations: but his latter ende shall come to destruction.

21 Kaj li ekvidis la Kenidojn, kaj li ekparolis sian inspiritaĵon, kaj diris: Fortika estas via loĝejo, Kaj aranĝita sur roko estas via nesto;

And he looked on the Kenites, and vttered his parable, and sayde, Strong is thy dwelling place, and put thy nest in the rocke.

22 Sed ruinigita estos Kain, Baldaŭ Aŝur vin kaptos.

Neuerthelesse, the Kenite shalbe spoyled vntill Asshur cary thee away captiue.

23 Kaj li ekparolis sian inspiritaĵon, kaj diris: Ve! kiu vivos, kiam Dio tion faros?

Againe he vttered his parable, and sayd, Alas, who shall liue when God doeth this?

24 Kaj venos ŝipoj de la lando de la Kitidoj, Kaj ili humiligos Aŝuron kaj humiligos Eberon; Sed ankaŭ ili pereos.

The ships also shall come from the coastes of Chittim, and subdue Asshur, and shall subdue Eber, and he also shall come to destruction.

25 Kaj Bileam leviĝis, kaj foriris kaj revenis al sia loko; kaj ankaŭ Balak iris sian vojon.

Then Balaam rose vp, and went and returned to his place: and Balak also went his way.
