Neĥemja 1

1 Vortoj de Neĥemja, filo de Ĥaĥalja. En la monato Kislev, en la dudeka jaro, mi estis en la kastelurbo Ŝuŝan.

[the] words of Nehemiah [the] son of Hacaliah and it was in [the] month of (Kislev *Q(k)*) year twenty and I I was in Susa the citadel.

2 Kaj venis Ĥanani, unu el miaj fratoj, li kaj kelkaj viroj el Judujo. Kaj mi demandis lin pri la Judoj, kiuj saviĝis kaj restis el la forkaptitaro, kaj pri Jerusalem.

And he came Hanani one of brothers my he and people from Judah and I asked them about the Jews the escaped remnant who they had survived from the captivity and on Jerusalem.

3 Kaj ili diris al mi: La restintoj, kiuj restis el la forkaptitaro, troviĝas tie en la lando en granda mizero kaj malhonoro; kaj la murego de Jerusalem estas detruita, kaj ĝiaj pordegoj estas forbruligitaj per fajro.

And they said to me the survivors who they have survived from the captivity there in the province [are] in trouble great and in disgrace and [the] wall of Jerusalem [has been] broken down and gates its they have been burned with fire.

4 Kiam mi aŭdis tiujn vortojn, mi sidiĝis kaj ekploris, kaj funebris dum kelke da tagoj; kaj mi fastis kaj preĝis antaŭ Dio de la ĉielo.

And it was when heard I - the words these I sat down and I wept and I mourned! days and I was fasting and praying before [the] God of the heavens.

5 Kaj mi diris: Mi petas Vin, ho Eternulo, Dio de la ĉielo, Dio granda kaj timinda, kiu konservas la interligon kaj favorkorecon al Liaj amantoj kaj al la plenumantoj de Liaj ordonoj!

And I said I beg you O Yahweh [the] God of the heavens the God great and awesome [who] keeps the covenant and covenant loyalty to [those who] love him and to [those who] keep commandments his.

6 Via orelo estu atenta, kaj Viaj okuloj estu malfermitaj, por aŭskulti la preĝon de Via servanto, per kiu mi preĝas antaŭ Vi nun tage kaj nokte pri la Izraelidoj, Viaj servantoj, dum mi faras konfeson pri la pekoj de la Izraelidoj, kiujn ni pekis antaŭ Vi; mi kaj la domo de mia patro, ni pekis.

May it be please ear your attentive and eyes your open to listen to [the] prayer of servant your which I [am] praying before you this day by day and night on [the] people of Israel servants your and [am] confessing on [the] sins of [the] people of Israel which we have sinned to you and I and [the] house of father my we have sinned.

7 Ni forte pekis antaŭ Vi, kaj ni ne plenumis la ordonojn kaj la leĝojn kaj la decidojn, kiujn Vi ordonis al Moseo, Via servanto.

Surely we have acted corruptly to you and not we have kept the commandments and the statutes and the judgments which you commanded Moses servant your.

8 Sed volu rememori la vorton, kiun Vi eldiris al Via servanto Moseo, nome: Se vi pekos, Mi disĵetos vin inter la popolojn;

Remember please the word which you commanded Moses servant your saying you you will act unfaithfully I I will scatter you among the peoples.

9 sed se vi returnos vin al Mi kaj konservos Miajn ordonojn kaj plenumos ilin, tiam se viaj forpelitoj eĉ estus ĉe la rando de la ĉielo, Mi eĉ de tie kolektos ilin, kaj venigos ilin sur la lokon, kiun Mi elektis, por loĝigi tie Mian nomon.

And you will turn back to me and you will keep commandments my and you will observe them if it will be banished [one] your at [the] end of the heavens from there I will gather them (and I will bring them *Q(k)*) to the place where I have chosen to cause to dwell name my there.

10 Ili estas ja Viaj servantoj, kaj Via popolo, kiun Vi liberigis per Via granda forto kaj per Via potenca mano.

And they [are] servants your and people your whom you redeemed by strength your great and by hand your mighty.

11 Mi petas, ho Sinjoro, Via orelo estu atenta al la preĝo de Via servanto, kaj al la preĝo de Viaj servantoj, kiuj deziras timi Vian nomon; kaj donu sukceson al Via servanto hodiaŭ, kaj akirigu al li favorkorecon antaŭ ĉi tiu homo. (Mi estis vinverŝisto ĉe la reĝo.)

I beg you O Lord may it be please ear your attentive to [the] prayer of servant your and to [the] prayer of servants your delighting to fear name your and grant success! please to servant your this day and give him compassion before the man this and I I was cup bearer of the king.
