Neĥemja 7
1 Kiam la murego estis konstruita, mi starigis la pordojn; kaj ricevis siajn oficojn la pordegistoj, la kantistoj, kaj la Levidoj.
And it came to pass, when the wall was built, that I set up the doors; and then were appointed the gatekeepers and the singers and the [other] Levites [to their office].
2 Kaj mi donis ordonon al mia frato Ĥanani, kaj al Ĥananja, kastelestro de Jerusalem (ĉar li estis homo fidela, kaj diotima pli ol multaj aliaj),
And I gave my brother Chanani, and Chananyah the commander of the fortress, charge over Jerusalem; for he was esteemed a faithful man, and one that feared God these many days.

And I said unto them, The gates of Jerusalem must not be opened until the sun be hot; and while ye stand by, let them shut the doors, and do ye bar them; and station watches of the inhabitants of Jerusalem, every one in his watch, and every one opposite to his house.
4 Sed la urbo estis vasta kaj granda, kaj da loĝantoj estis en ĝi nemulte, kaj la domoj ne estis konstruitaj.
But the city was roomy in space and large: while the people therein were few, and the houses were not yet built.
5 Kaj mia Dio min inspiris, kaj mi kunvenigis la eminentulojn kaj la estrojn kaj la popolon, por ilin registri. Kaj mi trovis la genealogian registron de tiuj, kiuj venis antaŭe, kaj mi trovis, ke en ĝi estas skribite jene:
Then did my God put it into my heart, and I assembled together the nobles, and the rulers, and the people, that they might give in their genealogy; and I found a register of the genealogy of those who were come up at the first, and I found written therein:
6 Jen estas la loĝantoj de la lando, kiuj iris el la forkaptitoj, kiujn forkondukis Nebukadnecar, reĝo de Babel, kaj kiuj revenis en Jerusalemon kaj en Judujon, ĉiu en sian urbon,
These arc the children of the province, that came up out of the captivity of the exiles, whom Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon had carried into exile, and who returned to Jerusalem and to Judah, every one unto his own city;
7 kiuj venis kun Zerubabel, Jeŝua, Neĥemja, Azarja, Raamja, Naĥamani, Mordeĥaj, Bilŝan, Misperet, Bigvaj, Neĥum, Baana. La nombro de la viroj de la popolo Izraela estis:
Who came with Zerubbabel, Jeshua', Nehemiah, 'Azaryah, Ra'amyah, Nachamani, Mordecai, Bilshan, Misspereth, Bigvai, Nechum, Ba'anah. The number of the men of the people of Israel was:

The children of Chanan, the children of Giddel, the children of Gachar,
50 la idoj de Reaja, la idoj de Recin, la idoj de Nekoda,
The children of Reayah, the children of Rezin, the children of Nekoda.
51 la idoj de Gazam, la idoj de Uza, la idoj de Paseaĥ,
The children of Gazzam, the children of 'Uzza, the children of Passeach.
52 la idoj de Besaj, la idoj de Meunim, la idoj de Nefiŝesim,
The children of Bessai, the children of Me'unim, the children of Nephishessim,
53 la idoj de Bakbuk, la idoj de Ĥakufa, la idoj de Ĥarĥur,
The children of Bakbuk, the children of Chakupha, the children of Charchur.

The children of Bazlith, the children of Mechida, the children of Charsha,
55 la idoj de Barkos, la idoj de Sisra, la idoj de Tamaĥ,
The children of Barkoss, the children of Sissera, the children of Thamach,
56 la idoj de Neciaĥ, la idoj de Ĥatifa.
The children of Neziach, the children of Chatipha.
57 La idoj de la servantoj de Salomono: la idoj de Sotaj, la idoj de Soferet, la idoj de Perida,
The children of Solomon's servants: The children of Sotai, the children of Sophereth, the children of Perida,
58 la idoj de Jaala, la idoj de Darkon, la idoj de Gidel,
The children of Ya'ala, the children of Darkon, the children of Giddel,
59 la idoj de Ŝefatja, la idoj de Ĥatil, la idoj de Poĥeret-Cebaim, la idoj de Amon.
The children of Shephatyah, the children of Chattil, the children of Pochereth-hazzebayim, the children of Amon.
60 La nombro de ĉiuj Netinoj kaj de la idoj de la servantoj de Salomono estis tricent naŭdek du.
All the temple-servants, and the children of Solomon' servants, were three hundred ninety and two.
61 Kaj jen estas la elirintoj el Tel-Melaĥ, Tel-Ĥarŝa, Kerub, Adon, kaj Imer, kiuj ne povis montri sian patrodomon kaj devenon, ĉu ili devenas de Izrael:
And these were they who came up from Thel-melach, Thelcharsha, Kerub, Addon, and Immer, but they could not tell their family division and their descent, whether they were of Israel.

The children of Delayah, the children of Tobiyah, the children of Nekoda, six hundred forty and two.

And of the priests: The children of Chobayah, the children of Hakkoz, the children of Barzillai who had taken a wife from the daughters of Barzillai the Gil'adite, and was called after their name.
64 Ili serĉis siajn dokumentojn genealogiajn, sed ĉi tiuj ne troviĝis; tial ili estis eligitaj el la listo de la pastroj.
These sought for their family register, but it was not found: wherefore they were excluded, as unfit, from the priesthood.
65 Kaj la regionestro diris al ili, ke ili ne manĝu el la plejsanktaĵo, ĝis aperos pastro kun la signoj de lumo kaj de justo.
And the Thirshatha said unto them, that they should not eat of the most holy things, till there should stand up a priest with the Urim and Thummim.
66 La tuta komunumo kune konsistis el kvardek du mil tricent sesdek homoj,
The whole congregation together was forty and two thousand three hundred and sixty:
67 krom iliaj sklavoj kaj sklavinoj, kies nombro estis sep mil tricent tridek sep, kaj al tio estis ducent kvardek kvin kantistoj kaj kantistinoj.
Besides these were their man-servants and their maid-servants, of whom there were seven thousand three hundred thirty and seven: and they had two hundred and forty and five singing men and singing women.
68 Da ĉevaloj ili havis sepcent tridek ses; da muloj ili havis ducent kvardek kvin;
Their horses were seven hundred thirty and six; their mules, two hundred forty and five;
69 da kameloj ili havis kvarcent tridek kvin; da azenoj ses mil sepcent dudek.
[Their] camels, four hundred thirty and five: [their] asses, six thousand seven hundred and twenty.
70 Kelkaj el la ĉefoj de patrodomoj donis por la laboroj: la regionestro donis por la trezorejo: mil darkemonojn da oro, kvindek aspergajn kalikojn, kvincent tridek pastrajn vestojn.
And a portion of the chiefs of the divisions gave unto the work. The Thirshatha gave to the treasure, of gold one thousand drachms, fifty bowls, five hundred and thirty coats for the priests.
71 El la ĉefoj de patrodomoj, kelkaj donis en la trezorejon de la laboroj dudek mil darkemonojn da oro kaj du mil ducent min’ojn da arĝento.
And some of the chiefs of the divisions gave to the treasury of the work, of gold twenty thousand drachms, and of silver two thousand and two hundred manehs.
72 Kaj kion donis la ceteraj el la popolo, tio estis: dudek mil darkemonoj da oro kaj du mil min’oj da arĝento kaj sesdek sep pastraj vestoj.
And what the rest of the people gave was, of gold twenty thousand drachms, and of silver two thousand manehs, and priests coats sixty and seven.
73 Kaj ekloĝis la pastroj kaj la Levidoj kaj la pordegistoj kaj la kantistoj kaj la popolanoj kaj la Netinoj kaj la tuta Izrael en siaj urboj. Kiam venis la sepa monato, la Izraelidoj estis jam en siaj urboj.
So the priests, and the Levites, and the gatekeepers, and the singers, and some of the people, and the temple-servants, and all Israel, dwelt in their cities: and so came round the seventh month, while the children of Israel were in their cities.
