1 Jen estas la pastroj kaj Levidoj, kiuj venis kun Zerubabel, filo de Ŝealtiel, kaj kun Jeŝua: Ŝeraja, Jeremia, Ezra,

Now these are the priests and the Levites who went up with Zerubbabel, the son of Shealtiel, and Jeshua: Seraiah, Jeremiah, Ezra,

2 Amarja, Maluĥ, Ĥatuŝ,

Amariah, Malluch, Hattush,

3 Ŝeĥanja, Reĥum, Meremot,

Shecaniah, Rehum, Meremoth,

4 Ido, Ginton, Abija,

Iddo, Ginnethoi, Abijah,

5 Mijamin, Maadja, Bilga,

Mijamin, Maadiah, Bilgah,

6 Ŝemaja, Jojarib, Jedaja,

Shemaiah, and Joiarib, Jedaiah,

7 Salu, Amok, Ĥilkija, Jedaja. Tio estas la ĉefoj de la pastroj kaj iliaj fratoj en la tempo de Jeŝua.

Sallu, Amok, Hilkiah, Jedaiah. These were the chiefs of the priests and of their brothers in the days of Jeshua.

8 Kaj la Levidoj: Jeŝua, Binuj, Kadmiel, Ŝerebja, Jehuda, Matanja, super la laŭdkantoj, li kaj liaj fratoj;

And the Levites: Jeshua, Binnui, Kadmiel, Sherebiah, Judah, and Mattaniah, who was over the music-makers, he and his brothers.

9 kaj Bakbukja kaj Uni, iliaj fratoj, deĵoris kun ili.

And Bakbukiah and Unno, their brothers, were opposite them in their watches.

10 Jeŝua naskigis Jojakimon, Jojakim naskigis Eljaŝibon, Eljaŝib naskigis Jojadan,

And Jeshua was the father of Joiakim, and Joiakim was the father of Eliashib, and Eliashib was the father of Joiada,

11 Jojada naskigis Jonatanon, Jonatan naskigis Jaduan.

And Joiada was the father of Jonathan, and Jonathan was the father of Jaddua.

12 En la tempo de Jojakim estis pastroj ĉefoj de patrodomoj: de la domo de Seraja: Meraja; de la domo de Jeremia: Ĥananja;

And in the days of Joiakim there were priests, heads of families: of Seraiah, Meraiah; of Jeremiah, Hananiah;

13 de la domo de Ezra: Meŝulam; de la domo de Amarja: Jehoĥanan;

Of Ezra, Meshullam; of Amariah, Jehohanan;

14 de la domo de Meliĥu: Jonatan; de la domo de Ŝebanja: Jozef;

Of Malluchi, Jonathan; of Shebaniah, Joseph;

15 de la domo de Ĥarim: Adna; de la domo de Merajot: Ĥelkaj;

Of Harim, Adna; of Meraioth, Helkai;

16 de la domo de Ido: Zeĥarja; de la domo de Ginton: Meŝulam;

Of Iddo, Zechariah; of Ginnethon, Meshullam;

Of Sallai, Kallai; of Amok, Eber;

Of Hilkiah, Hashabiah; of Jedaiah, Nethanel.

22 El la Levidoj estis enskribitaj la ĉefoj de patrodomoj en la tempo de Eljaŝib, Jojada, Joĥanan, kaj Jadua; la pastroj dum la reĝado de Dario la Persa.

The Levites in the days of Eliashib, Joiada, and Johanan, and Jaddua, were listed as heads of families; and the priests, when Darius the Persian was king.

23 La Levidoj, ĉefoj de patrodomoj, estis enskribitaj en la libron de kroniko ĝis la tempo de Joĥanan, filo de Eljaŝib.

The sons of Levi, heads of families, were recorded in the book of the histories, even till the days of Johanan, the son of Eliashib.

24 La ĉefoj de la Levidoj: Ĥaŝabja, Ŝerebja, Jeŝua, filo de Kadmiel, kaj iliaj fratoj apud ili estis destinitaj por la laŭdkantoj, laŭ la aranĝo de David, la homo de Dio, laŭ deĵorpartoj.

And the chiefs of the Levites: Hashabiah, Sherebiah, and Jeshua, the son of Kadmiel, with their brothers opposite them, to give blessing and praise as ordered by David, the man of God, watch against watch.

25 Matanja, Bakbukja, Obadja, Meŝulam, Talmon, kaj Akub estis pordegistoj, kaj deĵoris en la provizejoj ĉe la pordegoj.

Mattaniah, and Bakbukiah, Obadiah, Meshullam, Talmon, Akkub, were door-keepers keeping the watch at the store-houses of the doors.

26 Ili estis en la tempo de Jojakim, filo de Jeŝua, filo de Jocadak, kaj en la tempo de Neĥemja, la regionestro, kaj de Ezra, la pastro-skribisto.

These were in the days of Joiakim, the son of Jeshua, the son of Jozadak, and in the days of Nehemiah the ruler and of Ezra the priest, the scribe.

27 Ĉe la inaŭguro de la murego de Jerusalem oni serĉis la Levidojn el ĉiuj iliaj lokoj, por venigi ilin en Jerusalemon, por fari inaŭguron kaj ĝojan feston, kun glorhimnoj kaj kantoj, kun cimbaloj, psalteroj, kaj harpoj.

And when the time came for the wall of Jerusalem to be made holy, they sent for the Levites out of all their places to come to Jerusalem, to keep the feast with joy, and with praise and melody, with brass and corded instruments of music.

28 Kaj kunvenis la idoj de kantistoj el la regiono ĉirkaŭ Jerusalem kaj el la vilaĝoj de la Netofaanoj,

And the sons of the music-makers came together from the lowland round about Jerusalem and from the daughter-towns of the Netophathites,

29 el Bet-Gilgal, de la kampoj de Geba kaj Azmavet; ĉar la kantistoj konstruis al si vilaĝojn en la ĉirkaŭaĵo de Jerusalem.

And from Beth-gilgal and from the fields of Geba and Azmaveth: for the music-makers had made daughter-towns for themselves round about Jerusalem.

30 Kaj purigis sin la pastroj kaj la Levidoj, kaj ili purigis la popolon, la pordegojn, kaj la muregon.

And the priests and the Levites made themselves clean; and they made the people clean, and the doorways and the wall.

31 Tiam mi suprenirigis la estrojn de Judujo sur la muregon, kaj mi starigis du grandajn ĥorojn kaj procesiojn. Unu sur la dekstra flanko de la murego, ĉe la Pordego de Sterko.

Then I made the rulers of Judah come up on the wall, and I put in position two great bands of them who gave praise, walking in ordered lines; one went to the right on the wall, in the direction of the doorway where the waste was put;

32 Kaj post ili iris Hoŝaja, kaj duono de la estroj de Judujo,

And after them went Hoshaiah and half of the rulers of Judah,

33 kaj Azarja, Ezra, Meŝulam,

And Azariah, Ezra, and Meshullam,

34 Jehuda, Benjamen, Ŝemaja, kaj Jeremia.

Judah and Benjamin and Shemaiah and Jeremiah,

35 El la pastridoj kun trumpetoj: Zeĥarja, filo de Jonatan, filo de Ŝemaja, filo de Matanja, filo de Miĥaja, filo de Zakur, filo de Asaf;

And certain of the priests' sons with wind instruments; Zechariah, the son of Jonathan, the son of Shemaiah, the son of Mattaniah, the son of Micaiah, the son of Zaccur, the son of Asaph,

36 kaj liaj fratoj: Ŝemaja, Azarel, Milalaj, Gilalaj, Maaj, Netanel, Jehuda, Ĥanani, kun muzikaj instrumentoj de David, la homo de Dio; kaj antaŭ ili estis Ezra, la skribisto.

And his brothers, Shemaiah, and Azarel, Milalai, Gilalai, Maai, Nethanel and Judah, Hanani, with the music-instruments of David, the man of God; and Ezra the scribe was at their head;

37 Apud la Pordego de la Fonto, kontraŭ ĝi, ili iris sur la ŝtupoj de la urbo de David supren sur la muregon al la domo de David, kaj ĝis la Pordego de la Akvo oriente.

And by the doorway of the fountain and straight in front of them, they went up by the steps of the town of David, at the slope up of the wall, over the house of David, as far as the water-doorway to the east.

38 La dua ĥoro iris kontraŭe de ili, kaj post ĝi iris mi kaj duono de la popolo, supre sur la murego, de la Turo de la Fornoj ĝis la Larĝa Murego,

And the other band of those who gave praise went to the left, and I went after them with half the people, on the wall, over the tower of the ovens, as far as the wide wall;

39 al la Pordego de Efraim, al la Malnova Pordego, al la Pordego de Fiŝoj, al la turo de Ĥananel, al la turo Mea, ĝis la Pordego de Ŝafoj; kaj ili haltis ĉe la Pordego de la Malliberejo.

And over the doorway of Ephraim and by the old door and the fish door and the tower of Hananel and the tower of Hammeah, as far as the sheep door: and at the doorway of the watchmen they came to a stop.

40 Kaj ambaŭ ĥoroj haltis ĉe la domo de Dio, ankaŭ mi kaj duono de la estroj kun mi,

So the two bands of those who gave praise took up their positions in the house of God, and I and half of the chiefs with me:

41 kaj la pastroj Eljakim, Maaseja, Minjamin, Miĥaja, Eljoenaj, Zeĥarja, Ĥananja, kun trumpetoj,

And the priests; Eliakim, Maaseiah, Miniamin, Micaiah, Elioenai, Zechariah, and Hananiah, with wind instruments;

42 kaj Maaseja, Ŝemaja, Eleazar, Uzi, Jehoĥanan, Malkija, Elam, kaj Ezer. Kaj laŭte kantis la kantistoj; ilia ĉefo estis Jizraĥja.

And Maaseiah and Shemaiah and Eleazar and Uzzi and Jehohanan and Malchijah and Elam and Ezer. And the makers of melody made their voices loud, with Jezrahiah their overseer.

43 Kaj oni alportis en tiu tago grandajn oferojn, kaj oni estis gajaj; ĉar Dio ĝojigis ilin per granda ĝojo; eĉ la virinoj kaj la infanoj ĝojis, kaj la gajeco de Jerusalem estis aŭdata malproksime.

And on that day they made great offerings and were glad; for God had made them glad with great joy; and the women and the children were glad with them: so that the joy of Jerusalem came to the ears of those who were far off.

44 Kaj en tiu tago estis starigitaj homoj por la ĉambroj de provizejo, por la oferdonoj, la unuaaĵoj, la dekonaĵoj, por kolekti en tiuj ĉambroj el la kampoj de la urboj la preskribitajn partojn por la pastroj kaj la Levidoj; ĉar la Judoj ĝojis pri la pastroj kaj Levidoj, kiuj staris.

And on that day certain men were put over the rooms where the things which had been given were stored, for the lifted offerings and the first-fruits and the tenths, and to take into them the amounts, from the fields of every town, fixed by the law for the priests and the Levites: for Judah was glad on account of the priests and the Levites who were in their places.

45 Kaj ili observadis la preskribon de sia Dio kaj la preskribon pri la pureco. Kaj la kantistoj kaj pordegistoj staris konforme al la preskribo de David kaj de lia filo Salomono.

And they kept the watch of their God, and were responsible for making things clean, and so did the music-makers and the door-keepers, as it was ordered by David and Solomon his son.

46 Ĉar ankaŭ antaŭe, en la tempo de David kaj Asaf, estis ĉefoj de kantistoj, kaj glorkantoj kaj dankokantoj al Dio.

For in the days of David and Asaph in the past, there was a master of the music, and songs of blessing and praise to God.

47 Ĉiuj Izraelidoj en la tempo de Zerubabel kaj en la tempo de Neĥemja donadis partojn ĉiutagajn al la kantistoj kaj pordegistoj; kaj ili konsekradis partojn por la Levidoj, kaj la Levidoj konsekradis partojn por la idoj de Aaron.

And all Israel in the days of Zerubbabel and in the days of Nehemiah gave what was needed by the music-makers and the door-keepers day by day: and they made the offerings holy for the Levites; and the Levites did the same for the sons of Aaron.
