1 La genealogia registro de Jesuo Kristo, filo de David, filo de Abraham.
The book of the lineage of Jesus Christ, the son of David, the son of Abraham.
2 Al Abraham naskiĝis Isaak, kaj al Isaak naskiĝis Jakob, kaj al Jakob naskiĝis Jehuda kaj liaj fratoj,
Abraham conceived Isaac. And Isaac conceived Jacob. And Jacob conceived Judah and his brothers.
3 kaj al Jehuda naskiĝis Perec kaj Zeraĥ el Tamar, kaj al Perec naskiĝis Ĥecron, kaj al Ĥecron naskiĝis Ram,
And Judah conceived Perez and Zerah by Tamar. And Perez conceived Hezron. And Hezron conceived Ram.
4 kaj al Ram naskiĝis Aminadab, kaj al Aminadab naskiĝis Naĥŝon, kaj al Naĥŝon naskiĝis Salma,
And Ram conceived Amminadab. And Amminadab conceived Nahshon. And Nahshon conceived Salmon.
5 kaj al Salma naskiĝis Boaz el Raĥab, kaj al Boaz naskiĝis Obed el Rut, kaj al Obed naskiĝis Jiŝaj,
And Salmon conceived Boaz by Rahab. And Boaz conceived Obed by Ruth. And Obed conceived Jesse.
6 kaj al Jiŝaj naskiĝis David, la reĝo. Kaj al David naskiĝis Salomono el la edzino de Urija,
And Jesse conceived king David. And king David conceived Solomon, by her who had been the wife of Uriah.
7 kaj al Salomono naskiĝis Reĥabeam, kaj al Reĥabeam naskiĝis Abija, kaj al Abija naskiĝis Asa,
And Solomon conceived Rehoboam. And Rehoboam conceived Abijah. And Abijah conceived Asa.
8 kaj al Asa naskiĝis Jehoŝafat, kaj al Jehoŝafat naskiĝis Joram, kaj al Joram naskiĝis Uzija,
And Asa conceived Jehoshaphat. And Jehoshaphat conceived Joram. And Joram conceived Uzziah.
9 kaj al Uzija naskiĝis Jotam, kaj al Jotam naskiĝis Aĥaz, kaj al Aĥaz naskiĝis Ĥizkija,
And Uzziah conceived Jotham. And Jotham conceived Ahaz. And Ahaz conceived Hezekiah.
10 kaj al Ĥizkija naskiĝis Manase, kaj al Manase naskiĝis Amon, kaj al Amon naskiĝis Joŝija,
And Hezekiah conceived Manasseh. And Manasseh conceived Amos. And Amos conceived Josiah.
11 kaj al Joŝija naskiĝis Jeĥonja kaj liaj fratoj, je la tempo de la transloĝiĝo en Babelon.
And Josiah conceived Jechoniah and his brothers in the transmigration of Babylon.

And after the transmigration of Babylon, Jechoniah conceived Shealtiel. And Shealtiel conceived Zerubbabel.
13 kaj al Zerubabel naskiĝis Abiud, kaj al Abiud naskiĝis Eljakim, kaj al Eljakim naskiĝis Azor,
And Zerubbabel conceived Abiud. And Abiud conceived Eliakim. And Eliakim conceived Azor.
14 kaj al Azor naskiĝis Cadok, kaj al Cadok naskiĝis Aĥim, kaj al Aĥim naskiĝis Eliud,
And Azor conceived Zadok. And Zadok conceived Achim. And Achim conceived Eliud.
15 kaj al Eliud naskiĝis Eleazar, kaj al Eleazar naskiĝis Mattan, kaj al Mattan naskiĝis Jakob,
And Eliud conceived Eleazar. And Eleazar conceived Matthan. And Matthan conceived Jacob.
16 kaj al Jakob naskiĝis Jozef, edzo de Maria, el kiu estis naskita Jesuo, kiu estas nomata Kristo.
And Jacob conceived Joseph, the husband of Mary, of whom was born Jesus, who is called Christ.
17 Tial ĉiuj generacioj de Abraham ĝis David estas dek kvar generacioj, kaj de David ĝis la transloĝiĝo en Babelon dek kvar generacioj, kaj de la transloĝiĝo en Babelon ĝis la Kristo dek kvar generacioj.
And so, all the generations from Abraham to David are fourteen generations; and from David to the transmigration of Babylon, fourteen generations; and from the transmigration of Babylon to the Christ, fourteen generations.
18 Kaj la naskiĝo de Jesuo Kristo estis tiamaniere: kiam lia patrino Maria estis fianĉinigita al Jozef, antaŭ ol ili kunvenis, ŝi troviĝis graveda per la Sankta Spirito.
Now the procreation of the Christ occurred in this way. After his mother Mary had been betrothed to Joseph, before they lived together, she was found to have conceived in her womb by the Holy Spirit.
19 Kaj ŝia edzo Jozef, estante justulo, kaj ne volante meti ŝin al publika malhonoro, volis ŝin sekrete forsendi.
Then Joseph, her husband, since he was just and was not willing to hand her over, preferred to send her away secretly.
20 Sed kiam li pripensis tion, jen anĝelo de la Eternulo aperis al li en sonĝo, dirante: Jozef, filo de David, ne timu preni al vi vian edzinon Maria; ĉar tio, kio naskiĝos de ŝi, estas per la Sankta Spirito.
But while thinking over these things, behold, an Angel of the Lord appeared to him in his sleep, saying: “Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to accept Mary as your wife. For what has been formed in her is of the Holy Spirit.
21 Kaj ŝi naskos filon; kaj vi nomos lin JESUO; ĉar li savos sian popolon de ĝiaj pekoj.
And she shall give birth to a son. And you shall call his name JESUS. For he shall accomplish the salvation of his people from their sins.”
22 Kaj ĉio tio okazis, por ke plenumiĝu tio, kion la Eternulo parolis per la profeto, dirante:
Now all this occurred in order to fulfill what was spoken by the Lord through the prophet, saying:
23 Jen virgulino gravediĝos kaj naskos filon, Kaj oni donos al li la nomon Emanuel; tio estas, Dio kun ni.
“Behold, a virgin shall conceive in her womb, and she shall give birth to a son. And they shall call his name Emmanuel, which means: God is with us.”
24 Kaj Jozef, leviĝinte el sia dormo, faris, kiel ordonis al li la anĝelo de la Eternulo, kaj prenis al si sian edzinon;
Then Joseph, arising from sleep, did just as the Angel of the Lord had instructed him, and he accepted her as his wife.
25 kaj li ne ekkonis ŝin, ĝis ŝi naskis filon; kaj li donis al li la nomon JESUO.
And he knew her not, yet she bore her son, the firstborn. And he called his name JESUS.
