Mateo 18

1 En tiu horo la disĉiploj venis al Jesuo, dirante: Kiu do estas la plej granda en la regno de la ĉielo?

At that time the disciples came to Jesus inquiring, Who shall be the greatest in the Reign of Heaven?

2 Kaj alvokinte al si infanon, li starigis ĝin meze de ili,

Jesus calling to him a child, placed him in the midst of them,

3 kaj diris: Vere mi diras al vi: Se vi ne turniĝos kaj ne fariĝos kiel infanoj, vi neniel eniros en la regnon de la ĉielo.

and said, Indeed, I say to you, unless you be changed, and become as children, you shall never enter the kingdom of heaven.

4 Kiu do humiligos sin, kiel ĉi tiu infano, tiu estas la plej granda en la regno de la ĉielo.

Whosoever, therefore, shall become humble like this child.

5 Kaj kiu akceptos unu tian infanon en mia nomo, tiu akceptas min;

Nay, whosoever receives one such child, in my name, receives me:

6 sed kiu igos fali unu el ĉi tiuj malgranduloj, kiuj kredas al mi, estus pli bone por tiu, se granda muelŝtono estus pendigita ĉirkaŭ lia kolo, kaj se li estus subakvigita en la profundon de la maro.

but whosoever shall ensnare any of these little ones, who believe in me, it were better for him that an upper millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were sunk in the ocean.

7 Ve al la mondo pro faliloj! ĉar estas necese, ke venu faliloj, sed ve al tiu homo, per kiu la falilo venas!

Alas for the world because of snares! Snares indeed there must be; nevertheless, alas for the ensnarer!

8 Kaj se via mano aŭ via piedo faligas vin, detranĉu ĝin kaj forĵetu ĝin de vi: estas bone por vi eniri en vivon kripla aŭ lama prefere ol, havante du manojn aŭ du piedojn, esti enĵetita en la eternan fajron. (aiōnios g166)

Wherefore, if your hand or foot ensnare you, cut it off and throw it away; it is better for you to enter lame or maimed into life, than having two hands or feet to be cast into the everlasting fire. (aiōnios g166)

9 Kaj se via okulo faligas vin, elŝiru ĝin kaj forĵetu ĝin de vi; estas bone por vi eniri en vivon unuokula prefere ol, havante du okulojn, esti enĵetita en Gehenan de fajro. (Geenna g1067)

And if your eye ensnare you, pluck it out and throw it away; it is better for you to enter one-eyed into life, than having two eyes to be cast into hell fire. (Geenna g1067)

10 Gardu vin, ke vi ne malestimu unu el tiuj malgranduloj; ĉar mi diras al vi, ke iliaj anĝeloj en la ĉielo ĉiam rigardas la vizaĝon de mia Patro, kiu estas en la ĉielo.

Beware of contemning any of these little ones; for I assure you, that in heaven, their angels continually behold the face of my heavenly Father:

11 Ĉar la Filo de homo venis, por savi tion, kio estis perdita.

and the Son of Man is come to recover the lost.

12 Kiel vi pensas? Se viro havas cent ŝafojn, kaj unu el ili erarvagis, ĉu li ne lasas la naŭdek naŭ, kaj iras al la montoj, kaj serĉas tiun, kiu erarvagis?

What think you? If a man have a hundred sheep, and one of them has strayed, will he not leave the ninety-nine upon the mountains, and go in quest of the stray?

13 Kaj se okazas, ke li trovas ĝin, vere mi diras al vi, li plimulte ĝojas pri ĝi, ol pri la naŭdek naŭ, kiuj ne erarvagis.

And if he happens to find it, indeed, I say to you, he derives greater joy from it, than from the ninety-nine which went not astray.

14 Tiel same ne estas la volo de via Patro, kiu estas en la ĉielo, ke unu el ĉi tiuj malgranduloj pereu.

Thus it is not the will of your Father in heaven, that any of these little ones should be lost.

15 Kaj se via frato pekos kontraŭ vi, iru kaj montru al li la kulpon inter vi kaj li sola. Se li aŭskultos vin, vi gajnos vian fraton.

Wherefore, if your brother trespass against you, go and expostulate with him, when you and he are alone together. If he hear you, you have gained your brother;

16 Sed se li ne aŭskultos, prenu ankaŭ unu aŭ du kun vi, por ke per la buŝo de du aŭ tri atestantoj ĉiu vorto estu konfirmita.

but if he will not hear, take one or two along with you, that by the testimony of two or three witnesses everything may be ascertained.

17 Kaj se li rifuzos aŭskulti ilin, diru la aferon al la eklezio; kaj se li ankaŭ rifuzos aŭskulti la eklezion, li estu por vi kiel fremdulo kaj impostisto.

If he despises them, tell the congregation; and if he despise the congregation also, let him be to you as a pagan or a publican.

18 Vere mi diras al vi, ke ĉio, kion vi ligos sur la tero, estos ligita en la ĉielo; kaj ĉio, kion vi malligos sur la tero, estos malligita en la ĉielo.

Indeed, I say to you, whatsoever you shall bind on the earth, shall be bound in heaven; and whatsoever you shall loose on earth, shall be loosed in heaven.

19 Cetere mi diras al vi, ke se du el vi konsentos sur la tero pri ia pripetota afero, ĝi estos farita al ili de mia Patro, kiu estas en la ĉielo.

Again, I say to you, whatever two of you upon the earth shall agree to ask, shall be granted them by my Father, who is in heaven.

20 Ĉar kie du aŭ tri kunvenas en mia nomo, tie mi estas meze de ili.

For wherever two or three are assembled in my name, I am in the midst of them.

21 Tiam Petro venis kaj diris al li: Sinjoro, kiomfoje povu peki mia frato kontraŭ mi, kaj mi pardonu lin? ĝis sep fojoj?

Then Peter approaching, said to him, Master, if my brother repeatedly trespass against me, how often must I forgive him? must I seven times?

22 Jesuo diris al li: Mi ne diras al vi: Ĝis sep fojoj; sed: Ĝis sepdekoble sep fojoj.

Jesus answered, I say to you, not seven times, but seventy times seven times.

23 Tial la regno de la ĉielo similas al reĝo, kiu volis fari kalkulon kun siaj servistoj.

In this the Administration of Heaven resembles a king, who determined to settle accounts with his servants.

24 Kaj kiam li komencis la kunkalkuladon, oni alkondukis al li unu, kiu estis ŝuldanto por dek mil talantoj.

Having begun to reckon, one was brought, who owed him ten thousand talents.

25 Sed ĉar li ne havis, per kio pagi, lia sinjoro ordonis, ke estu venditaj li kaj lia edzino kaj liaj infanoj, kaj ĉio, kion li posedis, kaj ke estu pago.

But that servant not having the means to pay; his master, to obtain payment, commanded that he, and his wife and children, and all that he had should be sold.

26 Tiam la servisto, falinte, kliniĝis antaŭ li, dirante: Sinjoro, paciencu pri mi, kaj mi pagos al vi ĉion.

Then the servant, throwing himself prostrate before his master, cried, Have patience with me, my lord, and I will pay the whole.

27 Kaj la sinjoro de tiu servisto, kortuŝite, liberigis lin kaj pardonis al li la ŝuldon.

And his master had compassion upon him, and dismissed him, remitting the debt.

28 Sed elirinte, tiu servisto trovis kunserviston, kiu ŝuldis al li cent denarojn; kaj li kaptis kaj eksufokis lin, dirante: Pagu tion, kion vi ŝuldas.

But this servant, as he went out, meeting one of his fellow-servants, who owed him a hundred denarii, seized him by the throat, saying, Pay me what you owe.

29 Kaj falinte antaŭ li, la kunservisto petegis lin, dirante: Paciencu pri mi, kaj mi pagos al vi.

His fellow-servant, falling down, besought him, saying, Have patience with me, and I will pay you.

30 Sed li ne volis; sed foriris kaj ĵetis lin en malliberejon, ĝis li pagos tion, kio estas ŝuldata.

And he would not, but instantly caused him to be imprisoned, until he should discharge the debt.

31 Tiam liaj kunservistoj, vidinte tion, kio okazis, tre ĉagreniĝis; kaj veninte, rakontis al sia sinjoro ĉion, kio okazis.

His fellow-servants seeing this, were deeply affected, and went, and informed their master of all that had passed.

32 Tiam lia sinjoro, alvokinte lin, diris: Vi malbona servisto, mi pardonis al vi tiun tutan ŝuldon, ĉar vi petegis min;

Then his master, having given orders to call him, said to him, You wicked servant: all that debt I forgave you, because you besought me.

33 ĉu vi ankaŭ ne devis kompati vian kunserviston, kiel mi kompatis vin?

Ought not you to have shown such pity to your fellow-servant, as I showed to you?

34 Kaj lia sinjoro koleris, kaj transdonis lin al la turmentistoj, ĝis li pagos ĉion al li ŝuldatan.

So his master, being provoked, delivered him to the jailors, to remain in their hands until he should clear the debt.

35 Tiel same mia ĉiela Patro faros al vi, se vi ne pardonas el viaj koroj, ĉiu al sia frato.

Thus will my heavenly Father treat every one of you, who forgives not, from his heart, his brother.
