1 Kaj li foriris de tie, kaj venis en la limojn de Judujo kaj trans Jordanon; kaj homamasoj kunvenis denove al li, kaj laŭ sia kutimo li instruis ilin denove.
Then he arose and came into the confines of Judea, through the country upon the Jordan. Again multitudes resorted to him; and again, as his custom was, he taught them.
2 Kaj Fariseoj venis, kaj demandis lin, por provi lin: Ĉu estas permesate al viro forsendi sian edzinon?
And some Pharisees came, who, to try him, asked him, Is it lawful for the husband to divorce his wife?
3 Kaj li responde diris al ili: Kion Moseo ordonis al vi?
He answering, said to them, What precept has Moses given you on this subject?
4 Kaj ili diris: Moseo permesis skribi eksedzigan leteron, kaj forsendi ŝin.
They replied, Moses has permitted us to write her a bill of divorcement, and dismiss her.
5 Sed Jesuo diris al ili: Pro la malmoleco de via koro li skribis por vi ĉi tiun ordonon.
Jesus answering, said to them, Because of your untractable disposition, Moses gave you this permission.
6 Sed de la komenco de la kreo: Li faris ilin vira kaj virina.
But from the beginning, at the creation, God made them a male and a female.
7 Tial viro forlasos sian patron kaj sian patrinon, kaj aliĝos al sia edzino,
For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother, and shall adhere to his wife,
8 kaj ili estos unu karno; sekve ili jam estas ne du, sed unu karno.
and they two shall be one flesh. They are, therefore, not longer two, but one flesh.
9 Kion do Dio kunigis, tion homo ne disigu.
What then God has conjoined, let no man separate.
10 Kaj en la domo la disĉiploj denove demandis lin pri la afero.
And, in the house, his disciples asked him anew concerning this matter.
11 Kaj li diris al ili: Kiu forsendos sian edzinon kaj edziĝos kun alia, tiu adultas kontraŭ ŝi;
He said to them, Whosoever divorces his wife, and marries another, commits adultery against her;
12 kaj se ŝi mem forsendos sian edzon kaj edziniĝos kun alia, ŝi adultas.
and if a woman divorce her husband, and marry another, she commits adultery.
13 Kaj oni venigis al li infanojn, por ke li tuŝu ilin; kaj la disĉiploj admonis ilin.
Then they brought children to him, that he might touch them; but the disciples rebuked those who brought them.
14 Sed Jesuo, vidinte tion, indignis, kaj diris al ili: Lasu la infanojn veni al mi; ne malhelpu ilin, ĉar el tiaj estas la regno de Dio.
Jesus perceiving this, was offended, and said, Allow the children to come to me, do not hinder them; for of such is the kingdom of God.
15 Vere mi diras al vi: Kiu ne akceptos la regnon de Dio kiel infano, tiu neniel eniros en ĝin.
Indeed, I say to you, whosoever will not receive the kingdom of God as a child, shall never enter it.
16 Kaj li prenis ilin en siaj brakoj, kaj benis ilin, metinte la manojn sur ilin.
Then taking them up in his arms, and laying his hands upon them, he blessed them.
17 Kaj dum li foriris sur la vojo, unu homo kuris al li kaj genuis antaŭ li, kaj demandis lin: Bona Majstro, kion mi faru, por ke mi heredu eternan vivon? (aiōnios g166)
As he went out into the road, one came running to him, who, kneeling, asked him, Good Teacher, what must I do to inherit eternal life? (aiōnios g166)
18 Kaj Jesuo diris al li: Kial vi nomas min bona? neniu estas bona krom Unu, nome Dio.
Jesus answered, Why do you call me good? God alone is good.
19 Vi scias la ordonojn: Ne mortigu; Ne adultu; Ne ŝtelu; Ne parolu malveran ateston; Ne rabu; Respektu vian patron kaj vian patrinon.
Do you know the commandments? Do not commit adultery; do not commit murder; do not steal; do not give false testimony; do no injury; honor your father and mother.
20 Kaj li responde diris al li: Majstro, ĉion tion mi observis detempe de mia juneco.
The other replied, Rabbi, I have observed all these from my childhood.
21 Kaj Jesuo, rigardante lin, amis lin, kaj diris al li: Unu mankon vi havas; iru, kaj vendu ĉion, kion vi havas, kaj donu al malriĉuloj, kaj vi havos trezoron en la ĉielo; kaj venu, sekvu min.
Jesus, looking upon him, loved him, and said to him, In one thing, nevertheless, you are deficient. Go, sell all that you have, and give the price to the poor, and you shall have treasure in heaven; then come, and follow me, carrying the cross.
22 Sed li malgajiĝis ĉe tiu vorto, kaj foriris malĝoja; ĉar li havis multajn posedaĵojn.
But he was troubled at this answer, and went away sorrowful; for he had great possessions.
23 Kaj Jesuo ĉirkaŭrigardis, kaj diris al siaj disĉiploj: Kiel malfacile tiuj, kiuj havas riĉon, eniros en la regnon de Dio!
Then Jesus looking around him, said to his disciples, How difficult it is for the wealthy to enter the kingdom of God!
24 Kaj la disĉiploj miris pro liaj vortoj. Sed Jesuo, respondante denove, diris al ili: Infanoj, kiel malfacile estas por tiuj, kiuj fidas al la riĉo, eniri en la regnon de Dio!
The disciples were astonished at his words; but Jesus resuming the discourse, said, Children, how difficult is it for them, who confide in wealth, to enter the kingdom of God!
25 Estas pli facile por kamelo iri tra trueton de kudrilo, ol por riĉulo eniri en la regnon de Dio.
It is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God.
26 Kaj ili forte miregis, dirante al li: Kiu do povas esti savita?
At this they were still more amazed, and said one to another, Who then can be saved?
27 Rigardante ilin, Jesuo diris: Ĉe homoj tio estas neebla, sed ne ĉe Dio; ĉar ĉio estas ebla ĉe Dio.
Jesus looking upon them, said, To men it is impossible, but not to God; for to God all things are possible.
28 Petro ekparolis al li: Jen ni ĉion forlasis kaj vin sekvis.
Then Peter took occasion to say, As for us, we have forsaken all, and followed you.
29 Jesuo diris: Vere mi diras al vi: Ekzistas neniu, kiu forlasis domon aŭ fratojn aŭ fratinojn aŭ patrinon aŭ patron aŭ infanojn aŭ kampojn pro mi kaj pro la evangelio,
Jesus answering, said, Indeed, I say to you, there is none who shall have forsaken his his house, or brothers, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, for my sake and the gospel's;
31 Sed multaj unuaj estos lastaj, kaj lastaj estos unuaj.
But many shall be first, who are last, and last, who are first.
32 Kaj ili estis sur la vojo suprenirantaj al Jerusalem, kaj Jesuo iris antaŭ ili; kaj ili miregis, kaj la sekvantoj timis. Kaj li prenis al si denove la dek du, kaj ekparolis pri tio, kio okazos al li, dirante:
As they were on the road to Jerusalem, Jesus walking before them, a panic seized them, and they followed him with terror. Then taking the twelve aside, he told them again what would befall him.
33 Jen ni supreniras al Jerusalem; kaj la Filo de homo estos transdonita al la ĉefpastroj kaj la skribistoj; kaj ili kondamnos lin al morto kaj transdonos lin al la nacianoj;
Behold, says he, we are going to Jerusalem, where the Son of Man shall be delivered to the chief priests, who will condemn him to die, and deliver him to the Gentiles,
34 kaj ili lin mokos kaj sur lin kraĉos kaj lin skurĝos kaj lin mortigos; kaj post tri tagoj li releviĝos.
who will mock him, and scourge him, and spit upon him, and kill him; but the third day he shall rise again.
35 Kaj alproksimiĝis al li Jakobo kaj Johano, filoj de Zebedeo, dirante al li: Majstro, ni deziras, ke, kion ajn ni petos de vi, vi tion faru por ni.
Then James and John, the sons of Zebedee, accosted him, saying, Rabbi, we beg you would grant us what we purpose to ask.
36 Kaj li diris al ili: Kion vi volas, ke mi faru por vi?
He said to them, what would you have me grant you?
37 Kaj ili diris al li: Permesu, ke ni povu sidi, unu dekstre de vi kaj la dua maldekstre, en via gloro.
They answered, That when you shall have attained your glory, one of us may sit at your right hand, and the other at your left.
38 Sed Jesuo diris al ili: Vi ne scias, kion vi petas. Ĉu vi povas trinki la kalikon, kiun mi trinkas? aŭ esti baptitaj per la bapto, per kiu mi estas baptata?
Jesus replied, You know not what you ask. Can you drink such a cup as I am to drink; and undergo an immersion like that which I must undergo?
39 Kaj ili diris al li: Ni povas. Kaj Jesuo diris al ili: La kalikon, kiun mi trinkas, vi trinkos, kaj per la bapto, per kiu mi estas baptata, vi estos baptitaj;
They answered, We can. Jesus said to them, You shall indeed drink such a cup, as I am to drink, and undergo an immersion like that which I must undergo;
40 sed sidi dekstre de mi aŭ maldekstre, tion doni ne apartenas al mi; sed ĝi estas por tiuj, por kiuj ĝi estas preparita.
but to sit at my right hand, and left, I can not give, unless to those for whom it is appointed.
41 Kaj aŭdinte, la dek ekindignis kontraŭ Jakobo kaj Johano.
The ten hearing this, conceived indignation against James and John.
42 Kaj Jesuo, alvokinte ilin al si, diris al ili: Vi scias, ke tiuj, kiuj pretendas regi la nacianojn, kondutas kiel sinjoroj super ili, kaj iliaj granduloj ekzercas aŭtoritaton super ili.
But Jesus having called them together, said to them, You know that those who are accounted the princes of the nations, domineer over them; and their great ones exercise authority upon them;
43 Sed ne tiel estos inter vi; sed kiu volas esti granda inter vi, tiu estu via servanto;
but it must not be so amongst you. On the contrary, whosoever would be great amongst you, shall be your servant;
44 kaj kiu volas esti la unua inter vi, tiu estu sklavo de ĉiuj.
and whosoever would be the chief, shall be the slave of all.
45 Ĉar la Filo de homo venis, ne por esti servata, sed por servi, kaj por doni sian vivon kiel elaĉeton por multaj.
For even the Son of Man came not to be served, but to serve, and to give his life a ransom for many.
46 Kaj ili venis al Jeriĥo; kaj kiam li foriris el Jeriĥo kun siaj disĉiploj kaj granda homamaso, la filo de Timeo, Bartimeo, blinda almozulo, sidis apud la vojo.
Then they came to Jericho. Afterward, as he was departing thence, with his disciples, and a great crowd, blind Bartimeus, son of Timeus, who sat by the way-side begging,
47 Kaj aŭdinte, ke ĉeestas Jesuo, la Nazaretano, li ekkriis, kaj diris: Jesuo, filo de David, kompatu min.
hearing that it was Jesus the Nazarene, cried, saying, Jesus Son of David, have pity upon me!
48 Kaj multaj admonis lin, ke li silentu; sed li des pli forte kriis: Ho Filo de David, kompatu min!
Many charged him to be silent, but he cried still the louder, Son of David, have pity upon me!
49 Kaj Jesuo haltis, kaj diris: Alvoku lin. Kaj oni alvokis la blindulon, dirante al li: Kuraĝu; leviĝu, li vin alvokas.
Jesus stopping, ordered them to call him. Accordingly they called the blind man, saying to him, Take courage; arise, he calls you.
50 Kaj li forĵetis sian veston, kaj eksaltis kaj venis al Jesuo.
Then throwing down his mantle, he sprang up, and went to Jesus.
51 Kaj Jesuo responde al li diris: Kion vi volas, ke mi faru al vi? Kaj la blindulo diris al li: Rabeno mia, ke mi ricevu vidpovon.
Jesus addressing him, said, What do you wish me to do for you? Rabboni, answered the blind man, to give me my sight.
52 Kaj Jesuo diris al li: Iru; via fido vin savis. Kaj tuj li ricevis vidpovon, kaj sekvis lin sur la vojo.
Jesus said to him, Go; your faith has cured you. Immediately he recovered his sight, and followed Jesus in the way.
