Juĝistoj 6

1 Kaj la Izraelidoj faris malbonon antaŭ la okuloj de la Eternulo; kaj la Eternulo transdonis ilin en la manojn de Midjan por la daŭro de sep jaroj.

And the sons of Israel do evil in the eyes of YHWH, and YHWH gives them into the hand of Midian [for] seven years,

2 Kaj la mano de Midjan forte premis Izraelon. Kontraŭ la Midjanidoj la Izraelidoj faris al si la fendegojn en la montoj kaj la kavernojn kaj la fortikaĵojn.

and the hand of Midian is strong against Israel, [so] the sons of Israel have made for themselves the nooks which [are] in the mountains, and the caves, and the strongholds [to hide] from the presence of Midian.

3 Kaj kiam la Izraelidoj semis, tiam venadis la Midjanidoj kaj la Amalekidoj kaj la orientanoj, kaj atakadis ilin,

And it has been, if Israel has sowed, that Midian has come up, and Amalek, and the sons of the east, indeed, they have come up against him,

4 kaj stariĝadis tendare kontraŭ ili, kaj ekstermadis la produktojn de la tero sur la tuta spaco ĝis Gaza, kaj ne restigadis porvivaĵon ĉe la Izraelidoj, nek ŝafon, nek bovon, nek azenon.

and encamp against them, and destroy the increase of the land until your entering Gaza; and they leave no sustenance in Israel, either sheep, or ox, or donkey;

5 Ĉar ili venadis kun siaj brutoj kaj tendoj en multego, simile al akridoj; kaj ili kaj iliaj kameloj estis sennombraj, kaj ili venadis en la landon, por dezertigi ĝin.

for they and their livestock come up, with their tents; they come in as the fullness of the locust for multitude, and of them and of their livestock there is no number, and they come into the land to destroy it.

6 Kaj Izrael tre mizeriĝis de Midjan; kaj la Izraelidoj ekkriis al la Eternulo.

And Israel is very weak from the presence of Midian, and the sons of Israel cry to YHWH.

7 Kaj kiam la Izraelidoj ekkriis al la Eternulo pro Midjan,

And it comes to pass, when the sons of Israel have cried to YHWH concerning Midian,

8 tiam la Eternulo sendis profeton al la Izraelidoj, kaj ĉi tiu diris al ili: Tiel diras la Eternulo, la Dio de Izrael: Mi venigis vin el Egiptujo, kaj Mi elkondukis vin el la domo de sklaveco,

that YHWH sends a man, a prophet, to the sons of Israel, and he says to them, “Thus said YHWH, God of Israel: I have brought you up out of Egypt, and I bring you out from a house of servants,

9 kaj Mi savis vin el la manoj de la Egiptoj kaj el la manoj de ĉiuj viaj premantoj, kaj Mi forpelis ilin de vi, kaj Mi donis al vi ilian landon;

and I deliver you out of the hand of the Egyptians, and out of the hand of all your oppressors, and I cast them out from your presence, and I give their land to you,

10 kaj Mi diris al vi: Mi estas la Eternulo, via Dio; ne timu la diojn de la Amoridoj, en kies lando vi loĝas; sed vi ne obeis Mian voĉon.

and I say to you, I [am] your God YHWH, you do not fear the gods of the Amorite in whose land you are dwelling—and you have not listened to My voice.”

11 Kaj venis anĝelo de la Eternulo, kaj sidiĝis sub kverko, kiu estis en Ofra kaj apartenis al Joaŝ la Abiezrido; lia filo Gideon estis draŝanta tritikon en vinpremejo, por kaŝi antaŭ la Midjanidoj.

And the Messenger of YHWH comes and sits under the oak which [is] in Ophrah, which [is] to Joash the Abi-Ezrite, and his son Gideon is beating out wheat in the winepress, to remove [it] from the presence of the Midianites;

12 Kaj aperis al li la anĝelo de la Eternulo, kaj diris al li: La Eternulo estas kun vi, brava heroo!

and the Messenger of YHWH appears to him and says to him, “YHWH [is] with you, O mighty man of valor.”

13 Kaj Gideon diris al li: Mia sinjoro! se la Eternulo estas kun ni, tiam kial trafis nin ĉio ĉi tio? kaj kie estas ĉiuj Liaj mirakloj, pri kiuj rakontis al ni niaj patroj, dirante: La Eternulo elkondukis ja nin el Egiptujo? Kaj nun la Eternulo forlasis nin, kaj transdonis nin en la manojn de Midjan.

And Gideon says to Him, “O my Lord, [if] YHWH is indeed with us, then why has all this found us? And where [are] all His wonders which our fathers recounted to us, saying, Has YHWH not brought us up out of Egypt? And now YHWH has left us, and gives us into the hand of Midian.”

14 Kaj la Eternulo Sin turnis al li, kaj diris: Iru kun ĉi tiu via forto, kaj savu Izraelon el la manoj de Midjan; jen Mi sendas vin.

And YHWH turns to him and says, “Go in this—your power; and you have saved Israel out of the hand of Midian—have I not sent you?”

15 Kaj tiu diris al Li: Mia Sinjoro! per kio mi savos Izraelon? mia familio estas ja la plej mizera en Manase, kaj mi estas la plej juna en la domo de mia patro!

And he says to Him, “O my Lord, with what do I save Israel? Behold, my chief [is] weak in Manasseh, and I [am] the least in the house of my father.”

16 Kaj la Eternulo diris al li: Sed Mi estos kun vi, kaj vi venkobatos la Midjanidojn kiel unu homon.

And YHWH says to him, “Because I am with you—you have struck the Midianites as one man.”

17 Kaj li diris al Li: Se mi akiris Vian favoron, donu al mi pruvosignon, ke tio estas Vi, kiu parolas kun mi;

And he says to Him, “Now if I have found grace in Your eyes, then You have done a sign for me that You are speaking with me.

18 ne foriru de ĉi tie, ĝis mi venos al Vi kaj alportos mian oferaĵon kaj metos antaŭ Vin. Kaj Li diris: Mi restos, ĝis vi revenos.

Please do not move from here until my coming to You, and I have brought out my present, and put it before You”; and He says, “I abide until your return.”

19 Kaj Gideon venis, kaj pretigis kapridon kaj macojn el efo da faruno; la viandon li metis en korbon kaj la brogaĵon li enverŝis en poton, kaj alportis al Li sub la kverkon kaj proponis.

And Gideon has gone in, and prepares a kid of the goats, and an ephah of flour [worth] of unleavened things; he has put the flesh in a basket, and he has put the broth in a pot, and he brings [them] out to Him, to the place of the oak, and brings [them] near.

20 Kaj la anĝelo de Dio diris al li: Prenu la viandon kaj la macojn kaj metu sur ĉi tiun rokon, kaj la brogaĵon elverŝu. Kaj li faris tiel.

And the Messenger of God says to him, “Take the flesh and the unleavened things, and place [them] on this rock—and pour out the broth”; and he does so.

21 Kaj la anĝelo de la Eternulo etendis la finon de la bastono, kiu estis en lia mano, kaj ektuŝis la viandon kaj la macojn; kaj tiam eliris fajro el la roko kaj konsumis la viandon kaj la macojn; kaj la anĝelo de la Eternulo foriris de antaŭ liaj okuloj.

And the Messenger of YHWH puts forth the end of the staff which [is] in His hand, and comes against the flesh, and against the unleavened things, and the fire goes up out of the rock and consumes the flesh and the unleavened things—and the Messenger of YHWH has gone from his eyes.

22 Tiam Gideon vidis, ke tio estis anĝelo de la Eternulo; kaj Gideon diris: Ho ve, mia Sinjoro, ho Eternulo! ĉar mi vidis anĝelon de la Eternulo, vizaĝon kontraŭ vizaĝo.

And Gideon sees that He [is] the Messenger of YHWH, and Gideon says, “Aah, Lord YHWH! For so I have looked on the Messenger of YHWH face to face!”

23 Sed la Eternulo diris al li: Paco al vi; ne timu; vi ne mortos.

And YHWH says to him, “Peace to you; do not fear; you do not die.”

24 Kaj Gideon konstruis tie altaron al la Eternulo, kaj donis al ĝi la nomon: La Eternulo estas Paco. Ĝis la nuna tago ĝi estas ankoraŭ en Ofra de la Abiezridoj.

And Gideon builds an altar to YHWH there, and calls it YHWH-Shalom, it [is] yet in Ophrah of the Abi-Ezrites to this day.

25 Kaj en tiu nokto diris al li la Eternulo: Prenu junan bovon de via patro, kaj alian bovon sepjaran, kaj detruu la altaron de Baal, kiu estas ĉe via patro, kaj la sanktan stangon, kiu estas apud ĝi, dehaku;

And it comes to pass, on that night, that YHWH says to him, “Take the young ox which your father has, and the second bullock of seven years, and you have thrown down the altar of Ba‘al which your father has, and cut down the Asherah which [is] by it,

26 kaj konstruu altaron al la Eternulo, via Dio, sur la supro de ĉi tiu roko, laŭ la reguloj, kaj prenu la duan bovon, kaj alportu bruloferon sur la ligno de la sankta stango, kiun vi dehakos.

and you have built an altar to your God YHWH on the top of this stronghold, by the arrangement, and have taken the second bullock, and caused a burnt-offering to ascend with the wood of the Asherah which you cut down.”

27 Kaj Gideon prenis dek homojn el siaj servantoj, kaj faris, kiel diris al li la Eternulo; sed ĉar li timis la domanojn de sia patro kaj la urbanojn, por fari tion en la tago, tial li faris en la nokto.

And Gideon takes ten men of his servants, and does as YHWH has spoken to him, and it comes to pass, because he has been afraid of the house of his father, and the men of the city, to do [it] by day, that he does [it] by night.

28 Kiam frue matene la urbanoj leviĝis, ili ekvidis, ke la altaro de Baal estas detruita, kaj la sankta stango, kiu estas apud ĝi, estas dehakita, kaj la dua bovo estas alportita kiel brulofero sur la konstruita altaro.

And the men of the city rise early in the morning, and behold, the altar of Ba‘al has been broken down, and the Asherah which is by it has been cut down, and the second bullock has been offered on the altar which is built.

29 Kaj ili diris unu al alia: Kiu tion faris? Kaj ili serĉis kaj demandis, kaj oni diris: Gideon, filo de Joaŝ, faris tion.

And they say to one another, “Who has done this thing?” And they inquire and seek, and they say, “Gideon son of Joash has done this thing.”

30 Tiam la urbanoj diris al Joaŝ: Elirigu vian filon; li devas morti, ĉar li detruis la altaron de Baal, kaj ĉar li dehakis la sanktan stangon, kiu estis apud ĝi.

And the men of the city say to Joash, “Bring out your son, and he dies, because he has broken down the altar of Ba‘al, and because he has cut down the Asherah which [is] by it.”

31 Sed Joaŝ diris al ĉiuj, kiuj staris antaŭ li: Ĉu vi bezonas batali por Baal? ĉu vi bezonas helpi lin? kiu batalos por li, tiu mortos ĉi tiun matenon. Se li estas dio, li mem batalu por si pro tio, ke oni detruis lian altaron.

And Joash says to all who have stood against him, “You, do you plead for Ba‘al? You—do you save him? He who pleads for him is put to death during the morning; if he [is] a god he pleads against him himself, because he has broken down his altar.”

32 Kaj de tiu tago oni nomis lin Jerubaal, dirante: Baal batalu kontraŭ li, ĉar li detruis lian altaron.

And he calls him, on that day, Jerubba‘al, saying, “The Ba‘al pleads against him, because he has broken down his altar.”

33 Kaj ĉiuj Midjanidoj kaj Amalekidoj kaj orientanoj kolektiĝis kune, kaj transiris kaj stariĝis tendare en la valo Jizreel.

And all Midian and Amalek and the sons of the east have been gathered together, and pass over, and encamp in the Valley of Jezreel,

34 Kaj la spirito de la Eternulo venis sur Gideonon, kaj li ekblovis per trumpeto; kaj la familio de la Abiezridoj kolektiĝis, por sekvi lin.

and the Spirit of YHWH has clothed Gideon, and he blows with a horn, and Abi-Ezer is called after him;

35 Kaj li sendis senditojn al la tuta Manase, kaj ankaŭ ili sekvis lin; kaj li sendis senditojn al Aŝer kaj al Zebulun kaj al Naftali, kaj ili eliris renkonte.

and he has sent messengers into all Manasseh, and it is also called after him; and he has sent messengers into Asher, and into Zebulun, and into Naphtali, and they come up to meet them.

36 Kaj Gideon diris al Dio: Se Vi intencas helpi per mia mano Izraelon, kiel Vi diris,

And Gideon says to God, “If You are Savior of Israel by my hand, as You have spoken,

37 en tia okazo jen mi metas sur la draŝejon tonditan lanon: se estos roso nur sur la lano, kaj sur la tuta tero estos seke, tiam mi scios, ke Vi helpos per mia mano Izraelon, kiel Vi diris.

behold, I am placing the fleece of wool in the threshing-floor: if dew is only on the fleece, and dryness on all the earth—then I have known that You save Israel by my hand, as You have spoken”;

38 Kaj tiel fariĝis: kiam la morgaŭan tagon li matene leviĝis, li elpremis la lanon, kaj elpremis el la lano roson, plenan kalikon da akvo.

and it is so, and he rises early on the next day, and presses the fleece, and wrings dew out of the fleece—the fullness of the bowl of waters.

39 Kaj Gideon diris al Dio: Ne koleru min, se mi ankoraŭ unu fojon ekparolos, kaj ankoraŭ nur unu fojon faros provon kun la lano: estu sekeco nur sur la lano, kaj sur la tuta tero estu roso.

And Gideon says to God, “Do not let Your anger burn against me, and I only speak this time; please let me try only this time with the fleece—please let there be only dryness on the fleece, and let there be dew on all the earth.”

40 Kaj Dio faris tiel en tiu nokto: estis sekeco nur sur la lano, kaj sur la tuta tero estis roso.

And God does so on that night, and there is only dryness on the fleece, and there has been dew on all the earth.
