Jeremia 16
1 Kaj aperis al mi la vorto de la Eternulo, dirante:
And there is a word of Jehovah unto me, saying:
2 Ne prenu al vi edzinon, kaj ne havu filojn nek filinojn, sur ĉi tiu loko.
Thou dost not take to thee a wife, Nor hast thou sons and daughters in this place.
3 Ĉar tiele diras la Eternulo pri la filoj kaj filinoj, kiuj naskiĝas sur ĉi tiu loko, pri iliaj patrinoj, kiuj naskas ilin, kaj pri iliaj patroj, kiuj naskigas ilin en ĉi tiu lando:
For thus said Jehovah, Of the sons and of the daughters who are born in this place, And of their mothers — those bearing them, And of their fathers — those begetting them in this land:
4 Per diversaj doloraj mortoj ili mortos; ili ne estos priplorataj nek enterigitaj, ili estos kiel sterko sur la supraĵo de la tero; de glavo kaj de malsato ili pereos, kaj iliaj kadavroj estos manĝaĵo por la birdoj de la ĉielo kaj por la bestoj de la tero.
Of painful deaths they die, They are not lamented, nor are they buried, For dung on the face of the ground they are, And by sword and by famine are consumed, And their carcase hath been for food To the fowl of the heavens, And to the beast of the earth.
5 Ĉar tiele diras la Eternulo: Ne eniru en la domon de plorado, ne iru funebri, kaj ne konsolu ilin; ĉar Mi forprenis de tiu popolo Mian pacon, diras la Eternulo, la favorkorecon kaj la kompaton.
For thus said Jehovah: Do not enter the house of a mourning-feast, Nor go to lament nor bemoan for them, For I have removed My peace from this people, An affirmation of Jehovah, The kindness and the mercies.
6 Mortos la granduloj kaj la malgranduloj en tiu lando; ili ne estos enterigitaj nek priplorataj; oni ne faros al si tranĉojn nek kalvaĵon pro ili.
And died have great and small in this land, They are not buried, and none lament for them, Nor doth any cut himself, nor become bald for them.
7 Oni ne disdonos inter ili panon de funebro, por konsoli ilin pri la mortinto, kaj oni ne trinkigos al ili kalikon de konsolo pri ilia patro kaj pri ilia patrino.
Nor do they deal out to them for mourning, To comfort him concerning the dead, Nor cause them to drink a cup of consolations For his father and for his mother.
8 Ankaŭ en la domon de festeno ne iru, por sidi kun ili, por manĝi kaj trinki.
A house of banqueting thou dost not enter, To sit with them, to eat and to drink,
9 Ĉar tiele diras la Eternulo Cebaot, Dio de Izrael: Jen Mi forigos de ĉi tiu loko antaŭ viaj okuloj kaj dum via vivo la sonojn de ĝojo kaj la sonojn de gajeco, la voĉon de fianĉo kaj la voĉon de fianĉino.
For thus said Jehovah of Hosts, God of Israel: Lo, I am causing to cease from this place, Before your eyes, and in your days, The voice of joy, and the voice of rejoicing, The voice of bridegroom and voice of bride.
10 Kiam vi diros al tiu popolo ĉiujn ĉi tiujn vortojn, kaj ili diros al vi: Pro kio la Eternulo eldiris pri ni tiun tutan grandan malfeliĉon? kia estas nia krimo, kaj kia estas nia peko, kiun ni pekis antaŭ la Eternulo, nia Dio? —
And it hath come to pass when thou declarest to this people all these words, and they have said unto thee, 'For what hath Jehovah spoken against us all this great evil? yea, what [is] our iniquity, and what our sin, that we have sinned against Jehovah our God?'
11 tiam diru al ili: Pro tio, ke viaj patroj forlasis Min, diras la Eternulo, kaj sekvis aliajn diojn kaj servis kaj adorkliniĝis al ili, dum Min ili forlasis kaj Mian instruon ne obeis;
Then thou hast said unto them: Because that your fathers have forsaken Me, An affirmation of Jehovah, And go after other gods, and serve them, And they bow themselves to them, And Me have forsaken, and My law not kept,
12 kaj vi agas ankoraŭ pli malbone ol viaj patroj, kaj ĉiu el vi sekvas la obstinecon de sia malbona koro, ne aŭskultante Min;
Ye also have done evil above your fathers, And lo, ye are walking each after the stubbornness of his evil heart, So as not to hearken unto Me.
13 tial Mi elĵetos vin el ĉi tiu lando en landon, kiun ne konis vi nek viaj patroj, kaj vi servos tie al aliaj dioj tage kaj nokte, ĉar Mi ne donos al vi indulgon.
And I have cast you from off this land, On to a land that ye have not known, Ye and your fathers, And ye have served there other gods by day and by night, Where I do not give to you grace.
14 Pro tio jen venos tempo, diras la Eternulo, kiam oni ne plu diros: Vivas la Eternulo, kiu elkondukis la Izraelidojn el la lando Egipta;
Therefore, lo, days are coming, An affirmation of Jehovah, And it is not said any more: 'Jehovah liveth, who brought up The sons of Israel out of the land of Egypt,'
15 sed: Vivas la Eternulo, kiu elkondukis la Izraelidojn el la lando norda, kaj el ĉiuj landoj, kien Li dispelis ilin; ĉar Mi revenigos ilin en ilian landon, kiun Mi donis al iliaj patroj.
But, 'Jehovah liveth, who brought up The sons of Israel out of the land of the north, And out of all the lands whither He drove them,' And I have brought them back to their land, That I gave to their fathers.
16 Jen Mi sendos multe da fiŝkaptistoj, diras la Eternulo, por kapti ilin; poste Mi sendos multe da ĉasistoj, por ĉasi ilin de ĉiu monto, de ĉiu monteto, kaj el la fendoj de la rokoj.
Lo, I am sending for many fishers, An affirmation of Jehovah, And they have fished them, And after this I send for many hunters, And they have hunted them from off every mountain, And from off every hill, and from holes of the rocks.
17 Ĉar Miaj okuloj vidas ĉiujn iliajn vojojn; ili ne estas kovritaj antaŭ Mi, kaj iliaj malbonagoj ne estas kaŝitaj antaŭ Miaj okuloj.
For Mine eyes [are] upon all their ways, They have not been hidden from My face, Nor hath their iniquity been concealed from before Mine eyes.
18 Antaŭ ĉio Mi duoble pagos pro iliaj malbonagoj kaj iliaj pekoj, pro tio, ke ili malpurigis Mian landon: per la kadavroj de siaj idoloj kaj per siaj abomenindaĵoj ili plenigis Mian heredaĵon.
And I have recompensed a first — A second time — their iniquity and their sin, Because of their polluting My land, With the carcase of their detestable things, Yea, their abominable things have filled Mine inheritance.
19 Ho Eternulo, mia forto kaj mia fortikeco kaj mia rifuĝo en tempo de malfeliĉo! al Vi venos nacioj de la randoj de la tero, kaj diros: Nur malverajn diojn heredis niaj patroj; ili estas vantaĵo, ili taŭgas por nenio.
O Jehovah, my strength, and my fortress, And my refuge in a day of adversity, Unto Thee nations do come from the ends of earth, And say, Only falsehood did our fathers inherit, Vanity, and none among them is profitable.
20 Ĉu povas homo fari al si diojn? ili ne estas ja dioj.
Doth man make for himself gods, And they — no gods?
21 Tial jen Mi prudentigos ilin; tiun fojon Mi sentigos al ili Mian manon kaj Mian forton; kaj ili ekscios, ke Mia nomo estas Eternulo.
Therefore, lo, I am causing them to know at this time, I cause them to know My hand and My might, And they have known that My name [is] Jehovah!
