Jeremia 13

1 Tiele diris al mi la Eternulo: Iru, aĉetu al vi tolan zonon kaj metu ĝin sur viajn lumbojn, sed en akvon ĝin ne metu.

Thus said the LORD unto me: 'Go, and get thee a linen girdle, and put it upon thy loins, and put it not in water.'

2 Kaj mi aĉetis la zonon konforme al la vorto de la Eternulo kaj metis ĝin sur miajn lumbojn.

So I got a girdle according to the word of the LORD, and put it upon my loins.

3 Kaj duafoje aperis al mi la vorto de la Eternulo, dirante:

And the word of the LORD came unto me the second time, saying:

4 Prenu la zonon, kiun vi aĉetis, kiu estas sur viaj lumboj, leviĝu kaj iru al Eŭfrato, kaj kaŝu ĝin tie en fendo de roko.

'Take the girdle that thou hast gotten, which is upon thy loins, and arise, go to Perath, and hide it there in a cleft of the rock.'

5 Kaj mi iris kaj kaŝis ĝin apud Eŭfrato, kiel la Eternulo al mi ordonis.

So I went, and hid it in Perath, as the LORD commanded me.

6 Post longa tempo la Eternulo diris al mi: Leviĝu, iru al Eŭfrato, kaj prenu de tie la zonon, pri kiu Mi ordonis al vi, ke vi kaŝu ĝin tie.

And it came to pass after many days, that the LORD said unto me: 'Arise, go to Perath, and take the girdle from thence, which I commanded thee to hide there.'

7 Kaj mi iris al Eŭfrato, elfosis kaj prenis la zonon el la loko, kie mi ĝin kaŝis; kaj jen montriĝis, ke la zono tute putriĝis kaj jam por nenio taŭgas.

Then I went to Perath, and digged, and took the girdle from the place where I had hid it; and, behold, the girdle was marred, it was profitable for nothing.

8 Kaj aperis al mi la vorto de la Eternulo, dirante:

Then the word of the LORD came unto me, saying:

9 Tiele diras la Eternulo: Tiele Mi putrigos la fieron de Jehuda kaj la grandan fieron de Jerusalem.

Thus saith the LORD: After this manner will I mar the pride of Judah, and the great pride of Jerusalem,

10 Tiu malbona popolo, kiu ne volas obei Miajn vortojn, kiu sekvas la obstinecon de sia koro, kaj sekvas aliajn diojn, servante al ili kaj adorkliniĝante al ili, fariĝos kiel ĉi tiu zono, kiu jam taŭgas por nenio.

even this evil people, that refuse to hear My words, that walk in the stubbornness of their heart, and are gone after other gods to serve them, and to worship them, that it be as this girdle, which is profitable for nothing.

11 Kiel zono estas alligata al la lumboj de homo, tiel Mi alligis al Mi la tutan domon de Izrael kaj la tutan domon de Jehuda, diras la Eternulo, por ke ili estu Mia popolo, Mia nomo, gloro, kaj ornamo; sed ili ne obeis.

For as the girdle cleaveth to the loins of a man, so have I caused to cleave unto Me the whole house of Israel and the whole house of Judah, saith the LORD, that they might be unto Me for a people, and for a name, and for a praise, and for a glory; but they would not hearken.

12 Kaj diru al ili ĉi tion: Tiele diras la Eternulo, Dio de Izrael: Ĉiu vinkruĉo estos plenigata de vino. Ili diros al vi: Ĉu ni ne scias, ke ĉiu vinkruĉo estos plenigata de vino?

Moreover thou shalt speak unto them this word: Thus saith the LORD, the God of Israel: 'Every bottle is filled with wine'; and when they shall say unto thee: 'Do we not know that every bottle is filled with wine?'

13 Sed vi diru al ili: Tiele diras la Eternulo: Jen Mi plenigos ĝis ebrieco ĉiujn loĝantojn de ĉi tiu lando, la reĝojn, kiuj sidas sur la trono de David, la pastrojn, la profetojn, kaj ĉiujn loĝantojn de Jerusalem;

Then shalt thou say unto them: Thus saith the LORD: Behold, I will fill all the inhabitants of this land, even the kings that sit upon David's throne, and the priests, and the prophets, and all the inhabitants of Jerusalem, with drunkenness.

14 kaj Mi interfrapigos ilin reciproke, la patrojn kaj la filojn kune, diras la Eternulo, Mi ne kompatos, ne preterlasos, ne indulgos, ekstermante ilin.

And I will dash them one against another, even the fathers and the sons together, saith the LORD; I will not pity, nor spare, nor have compassion, that I should not destroy them.

15 Aŭskultu kaj atentu; ne tenu vin alte, ĉar la Eternulo parolas.

Hear ye, and give ear, be not proud; for the LORD hath spoken.

16 Donu honoron al la Eternulo, via Dio, antaŭ ol Li venigos mallumon, kaj antaŭ ol viaj piedoj falpuŝiĝos sur la mallumaj montoj; tiam vi atendos lumon, sed Li donos anstataŭ ĝi ombron de morto, densan nebulon.

Give glory to the LORD your God, before it grow dark, and before your feet stumble upon the mountains of twilight, and, while ye look for light, He turn it into the shadow of death, and make it gross darkness.

17 Se vi ne aŭskultos, tiam mia animo kaŝe ploros pro via fiero, ĝi ploros maldolĉe, kaj el miaj okuloj fluegos larmoj, ĉar kaptita estos la paŝtataro de la Eternulo.

But if ye will not hear it, my soul shall weep in secret for your pride; and mine eyes shall weep sore, and run down with tears, because the LORD'S flock is carried away captive.

18 Diru al la reĝo kaj al la reĝino: Sidiĝu pli malalte, ĉar la krono de via majesto defalis de via kapo.

Say thou unto the king and to the queen-mother: 'Sit ye down low; for your headtires are come down, even your beautiful crown.'

19 La sudaj urboj estas fermitaj, kaj neniu ilin malfermos; la tuta Judujo estas forkondukita en kaptitecon, ĝi tuta estas forkondukita.

The cities of the South are shut up, and there is none to open them; Judah is carried away captive all of it; it is wholly carried away captive.

20 Levu viajn okulojn, kaj rigardu tiujn, kiuj venas de nordo. Kie estas la paŝtataro, kiu estas komisiita al vi, via bela ŝafaro?

Lift up your eyes, and behold them that come from the north; where is the flock that was given thee, thy beautiful flock?

21 Kion vi diros, kiam Li punvizitos vin? vi lernigis ja ilin esti kontraŭ vi, esti ĉefoj kaj ordonantoj. Ĉu ne atakos vin doloroj kiel naskantan virinon?

What wilt thou say, when He shall set the friends over thee as head, whom thou thyself hast trained against thee? Shall not pangs take hold of thee, as of a woman in travail?

22 Eble vi diros en via koro: Pro kio trafis min ĉi tio? Pro la multo de viaj malbonagoj estas levitaj la randoj de viaj vestoj kaj malhonoritaj viaj kalkanoj.

And if thou say in thy heart: 'Wherefore are these things befallen me?' — for the greatness of thine iniquity are thy skirts uncovered, and thy heels suffer violence.

23 Ĉu negro povas ŝanĝi sian haŭton aŭ leopardo siajn makulojn? tiel ankaŭ vi, ĉu vi povas fari bonon, alkutimiĝinte al malbono?

Can the Ethiopian change his skin, or the leopard his spots? Then may ye also do good, that are accustomed to do evil.

24 Tial Mi disblovos ilin kiel pajlopecetojn, kiujn dispelas la vento el la dezerto.

Therefore will I scatter them, as the stubble that passeth away by the wind of the wilderness.

25 Tio estos via sorto, via parto, destinita de Mi, diras la Eternulo, pro tio, ke vi forgesis Min kaj fidis malveraĵon.

This is thy lot, the portion measured unto thee from Me, saith the LORD; because thou hast forgotten Me, and trusted in falsehood.

26 Kaj Mi levos la randojn de viaj vestoj ĝis via vizaĝo, kaj montriĝos via hontindaĵo,

Therefore will I also uncover thy skirts upon thy face, and thy shame shall appear.

27 via adulto, via voluptegeco, viaj malĉastaj pensoj. Sur la montetoj de la kampo Mi vidis viajn abomenindaĵojn. Ve al vi, ho Jerusalem! ĉu vi ne puriĝos? kiam do fine?

Thine adulteries, and thy neighings, the lewdness of thy harlotry, on the hills in the field have I seen thy detestable acts. Woe unto thee, O Jerusalem! thou wilt not be made clean! When shall it ever be?
