1 Jen estas la libro de naskoj de Adam. Kiam Dio kreis la homon, Li faris lin laŭ la bildo de Dio;
This [is] an account of the generations of Adam. In the day of God’s creating man, in the likeness of God He has made him;
2 kiel viron kaj virinon Li kreis ilin, kaj Li benis ilin kaj donis al ili la nomon Homo en la tago de ilia naskiĝo.
a male and a female He has created them, and He blesses them, and calls their name Man, in the day of their being created.
3 Kaj Adam vivis cent tridek jarojn, kaj al li naskiĝis filo laŭ lia bildo kaj simileco, kaj li donis al li la nomon Set.
And Adam lives one hundred and thirty years [[or two hundred and thirty years]], and begets [a son] in his likeness, according to his image, and calls his name Seth.
4 Kaj Adam vivis, post kiam naskiĝis al li Set, okcent jarojn, kaj naskiĝis al li filoj kaj filinoj.
And the days of Adam after his begetting Seth are eight hundred years [[or seven hundred years]], and he begets sons and daughters.
5 Kaj la tuta vivo, kiun travivis Adam, estis naŭcent tridek jaroj, kaj li mortis.
And all the days of Adam which he lived are nine hundred and thirty years, and he dies.
6 Kaj Set vivis cent kvin jarojn, kaj naskiĝis al li Enoŝ.
And Seth lives one hundred and five years [[or two hundred and five years]], and begets Enos.
7 Kaj Set vivis, post kiam naskiĝis al li Enoŝ, okcent sep jarojn, kaj naskiĝis al li filoj kaj filinoj.
And Seth lives after his begetting Enos eight hundred and seven years [[or seven hundred and seven years]], and begets sons and daughters.
8 Kaj la tuta vivo de Set estis naŭcent dek du jaroj, kaj li mortis.
And all the days of Seth are nine hundred and twelve years, and he dies.
9 Kaj Enoŝ vivis naŭdek jarojn, kaj naskiĝis al li Kenan.
And Enos lives ninety years [[or one hundred and ninety years]], and begets Cainan.
10 Kaj Enoŝ vivis, post kiam naskiĝis al li Kenan, okcent dek kvin jarojn, kaj naskiĝis al li filoj kaj filinoj.
And Enos lives after his begetting Cainan eight hundred and fifteen years [[or seven hundred and fifteen years]], and begets sons and daughters.
11 Kaj la tuta vivo de Enoŝ estis naŭcent kvin jaroj, kaj li mortis.
And all the days of Enos are nine hundred and five years, and he dies.
12 Kaj Kenan vivis sepdek jarojn, kaj naskiĝis al li Mahalalel.
And Cainan lives seventy years [[or one hundred and seventy years]], and begets Mahalaleel.
13 Kaj Kenan vivis, post kiam naskiĝis al li Mahalalel, okcent kvardek jarojn, kaj naskiĝis al li filoj kaj filinoj.
And Cainan lives after his begetting Mahalaleel eight hundred and forty years [[or seven hundred and forty years]], and begets sons and daughters.
14 Kaj la tuta vivo de Kenan estis naŭcent dek jaroj, kaj li mortis.
And all the days of Cainan are nine hundred and ten years, and he dies.
15 Kaj Mahalalel vivis sesdek kvin jarojn, kaj naskiĝis al li Jared.
And Mahalaleel lives sixty-five years [[or one hundred and sixty-five years]], and begets Jared.
16 Kaj Mahalalel vivis, post kiam naskiĝis al li Jared, okcent tridek jarojn, kaj naskiĝis al li filoj kaj filinoj.
And Mahalaleel lives after his begetting Jared eight hundred and thirty years [[or seven hundred and thirty years]], and begets sons and daughters.

And all the days of Mahalaleel are eight hundred and ninety-five years, and he dies.
18 Kaj Jared vivis cent sesdek du jarojn, kaj naskiĝis al li Ĥanoĥ.
And Jared lives one hundred and sixty-two years, and begets Enoch.
19 Kaj Jared vivis, post kiam naskiĝis al li Ĥanoĥ, okcent jarojn, kaj naskiĝis al li filoj kaj filinoj.
And Jared lives after his begetting Enoch eight hundred years, and begets sons and daughters.
20 Kaj la tuta vivo de Jared estis naŭcent sesdek du jaroj, kaj li mortis.
And all the days of Jared are nine hundred and sixty-two years, and he dies.
21 Kaj Ĥanoĥ vivis sesdek kvin jarojn, kaj naskiĝis al li Metuŝelaĥ.
And Enoch lives sixty-five years [[or one hundred and sixty-five years]], and begets Methuselah.
22 Kaj Ĥanoĥ iradis kun Dio, post kiam naskiĝis al li Metuŝelaĥ, tricent jarojn, kaj naskiĝis al li filoj kaj filinoj.
And Enoch habitually walks with God after his begetting Methuselah three hundred years [[or two hundred years]], and begets sons and daughters.
23 Kaj la tuta vivo de Ĥanoĥ estis tricent sesdek kvin jaroj.
And all the days of Enoch are three hundred and sixty-five years.
24 Kaj Ĥanoĥ iradis kun Dio; kaj li malaperis, ĉar Dio lin prenis.
And Enoch habitually walks with God, and he is not, for God has taken him.
25 Kaj Metuŝelaĥ vivis cent okdek sep jarojn, kaj naskiĝis al li Lemeĥ.
And Methuselah lives one hundred and eighty-seven years, and begets Lamech.
26 Kaj Metuŝelaĥ vivis, post kiam naskiĝis al li Lemeĥ, sepcent okdek du jarojn, kaj naskiĝis al li filoj kaj filinoj.
And Methuselah lives after his begetting Lamech seven hundred and eighty-two years, and begets sons and daughters.
27 Kaj la tuta vivo de Metuŝelaĥ estis naŭcent sesdek naŭ jaroj, kaj li mortis.
And all the days of Methuselah are nine hundred and sixty-nine years, and he dies.
28 Kaj Lemeĥ vivis cent okdek du jarojn, kaj naskiĝis al li filo.
And Lamech lives one hundred and eighty-two years [[or one hundred and eighty-eight years]], and begets a son,
29 Kaj li donis al li la nomon Noa, dirante: Ĉi tiu konsolos nin en niaj faroj kaj en la laboroj de niaj manoj sur la tero, kiun la Eternulo malbenis.
and calls his name Noah, saying, “This [one] comforts us concerning our work, and concerning the labor of our hands, because of the ground which YHWH has cursed.”
30 Kaj Lemeĥ vivis, post kiam naskiĝis al li Noa, kvincent naŭdek kvin jarojn, kaj naskiĝis al li filoj kaj filinoj.
And Lamech lives after his begetting Noah five hundred and ninety-five years [[or five hundred and sixty-five years]], and begets sons and daughters.
31 Kaj la tuta vivo de Lemeĥ estis sepcent sepdek sep jaroj, kaj li mortis.
And all the days of Lamech are seven hundred and seventy-seven years [[or seven hundred and fifty-three years]], and he dies.
32 Kaj Noa havis la aĝon de kvincent jaroj, kaj al Noa naskiĝis Ŝem, Ĥam, kaj Jafet.
And Noah is a son of five hundred years, and Noah begets Shem, Ham, and Japheth.
