Genezo 28
1 Tiam Isaak alvokis Jakobon kaj benis lin, kaj ordonis al li, dirante: Ne prenu edzinon el la filinoj Kanaanaj.
Then Izhak called Iaakob and blessed him, and charged him, and sayde vnto him, Take not a wife of the daughters of Canaan.
2 Leviĝu, iru Mezopotamion, al la domo de Betuel, la patro de via patrino, kaj prenu al vi el tie edzinon el la filinoj de Laban, la frato de via patrino.
Arise, get thee to Padan Aram to the house of Bethuel thy mothers father, and thence take thee a wife of the daughters of Laban thy mothers brother.
3 Kaj Dio la Plejpotenca benu vin kaj fruktigu vin kaj multigu vin, kaj kreskigu el vi amason da popoloj.
And God all sufficient blesse thee, and make thee to encrease, and multiplie thee, that thou mayest be a multitude of people,
4 Kaj Li donu al vi la benon de Abraham, al vi kaj al via idaro kune kun vi, por ke vi heredu la landon de via fremdeloĝado, kiun Dio donis al Abraham.
And giue thee the blessing of Abraham, euen to thee and to thy seede with thee, that thou mayest inherite the lande (wherein thou art a stranger, ) which God gaue vnto Abraham.
5 Kaj Isaak forsendis Jakobon, kaj tiu iris Mezopotamion, al Laban, la filo de Betuel la Siriano, frato de Rebeka, patrino de Jakob kaj Esav.
Thus Izhak sent forth Iaakob, and he went to Padan Aram vnto Laban sonne of Bethuel the Aramite, brother to Rebekah, Iaakobs and Esaus mother.
6 Kiam Esav vidis, ke Isaak benis Jakobon kaj sendis lin en Mezopotamion, por ke li prenu al si el tie edzinon, kaj ke, benante lin, li ordonis al li, dirante: Ne prenu edzinon el la filinoj Kanaanaj;
When Esau sawe that Izhak had blessed Iaakob, and sent him to Padan Aram, to set him a wife thence, and giuen him a charge when he blessed him, saying, Thou shalt not take a wife of the daughters of Canaan,
7 kaj ke Jakob obeis sian patron kaj sian patrinon kaj iris Mezopotamion:
And that Iaakob had obeyed his father and his mother, and was gone to Padan Aram:
8 tiam Esav vidis, ke ne plaĉas la filinoj Kanaanaj al lia patro Isaak.
Also Esau seeing that the daughters of Canaan displeased Izhak his father,
9 Kaj Esav iris al Iŝmael kaj prenis al si Maĥalaton, filinon de Iŝmael, filo de Abraham, fratinon de Nebajot, kiel edzinon krom siaj aliaj edzinoj.
Then went Esau to Ishmael, and tooke vnto the wiues, which he had, Mahalath the daughter of Ishmael Abrahams sonne, the sister of Nabaioth, to be his wife.
10 Kaj Jakob eliris el Beer-Ŝeba kaj iris en la direkto al Ĥaran.
Now Iaakob departed from Beer-sheba, and went to Haran,
11 Li venis al iu loko kaj restis tie, por pasigi la nokton, ĉar la suno subiris. Kaj li prenis unu el la ŝtonoj de tiu loko kaj metis ĝin sub sian kapon kaj kuŝiĝis en tiu loko.
And he came vnto a certaine place, and taried there al night, because the sunne was downe, and tooke of the stones of the place, and layde vnder his head and slept in the same place.
12 Kaj li sonĝis: jen ŝtuparo staras sur la tero, kaj ĝia supro atingas la ĉielon, kaj jen anĝeloj de Dio iras sur ĝi supren kaj malsupren.
Then he dreamed, and behold, there stoode a ladder vpon the earth, and the top of it reached vp to heauen: and loe, the Angels of God went vp and downe by it.
13 Kaj jen la Eternulo staras sur ĝi, kaj diras: Mi estas la Eternulo, la Dio de via patro Abraham kaj la Dio de Isaak; la teron, sur kiu vi kuŝas, Mi donos al vi kaj al via idaro.
And behold, the Lord stoode aboue it, and sayd, I am the Lord God of Abraham thy father, and the God of Izhak: the land, vpon the which thou sleepest, wil I giue thee and thy seede.
14 Kaj via idaro estos kiel la polvo de la tero, kaj vi disvastiĝos okcidenten kaj orienten kaj norden kaj suden, kaj beniĝos per vi kaj per via idaro ĉiuj gentoj de la tero.
And thy seede shall be as the dust of the earth, and thou shalt spread abroad to the West, and to the East, and to the North, and to the South, and in thee and in thy seede shall all the families of the earth be blessed.
15 Kaj Mi estas kun vi, kaj Mi gardos vin ĉie, kien vi iros, kaj Mi revenigos vin sur ĉi tiun teron; ĉar Mi ne forlasos vin, ĝis Mi estos farinta tion, kion Mi diris al vi.
And lo, I am with thee, and wil keepe thee whithersoeuer thou goest, and will bring thee againe into this lande: for I will not forsake thee vntill I haue performed that, that I haue promised thee.
16 Kaj Jakob vekiĝis el sia dormo, kaj li diris: Vere, la Eternulo estas en ĉi tiu loko, kaj mi ne sciis.
Then Iaakob awoke out of his sleepe, and sayde, Surely the Lord is in this place, and I was not aware.
17 Kaj li ektimis, kaj diris: Kiel timinda estas ĉi tiu loko! ĝi estas nenio alia ol domo de Dio, kaj ĉi tie estas la pordego de la ĉielo.
And he was afraid, and said, How fearefull is this place! this is none other but the house of God, and this is the gate of heauen.
18 Kaj Jakob leviĝis frue matene, kaj prenis la ŝtonon, kiun li estis metinta sub sian kapon, kaj starigis ĝin kiel monumenton, kaj verŝis oleon sur ĝian supron.
Then Iaakob rose vp early in the morning, and tooke the stone that hee had layde vnder his head, and set it vp as a pillar, and powred oyle vpon the top of it.
19 Kaj li donis al tiu loko la nomon Bet-El; sed antaŭe la nomo de la urbo estis Luz.
And he called ye name of that place Bethel: notwithstanding the name of the citie was at the first called Luz.
20 Kaj Jakob faris sanktan promeson, dirante: Se Dio estos kun mi, kaj gardos min sur ĉi tiu vojo, kiun mi iras, kaj donos al mi panon por manĝi kaj veston por porti sur mi,
Then Iaakob vowed a vowe, saying, If God will be with me, and will keepe me in this iourney which I go, and wil giue me bread to eate, and clothes to put on:
21 kaj mi revenos en paco al la domo de mia patro, kaj la Eternulo estos por mi Dio:
So that I come againe vnto my fathers house in safetie, then shall the Lord be my God.
22 tiam ĉi tiu ŝtono, kiun mi starigis kiel monumenton, estos domo de Dio, kaj de ĉio, kion Vi donos al mi, mi oferos al Vi dekonon.
And this stone, which I haue set vp as a pillar, shall be Gods house: and of all that thou shalt giue me, wil I giue the tenth vnto thee.
