1 Kaj aperis al mi vorto de la Eternulo, dirante:
And the word of the Lord came unto me, saying,
2 Ho filo de homo, turnu vian vizaĝon al la monto Seir, kaj profetu pri ĝi;
Son of man, set thy face against the mountain of Se'ir, and prophecy against it,
3 kaj diru al ĝi: Tiele diras la Sinjoro, la Eternulo: Jen Mi iras kontraŭ vin, ho monto Seir, kaj Mi etendos Mian manon kontraŭ vin kaj faros vin absoluta dezerto.
And say unto it, Thus hath said the Lord Eternal, Behold, I will be against thee, O mountain of Se'ir, and I will stretch out my hand over thee, and I will render thee desolate and wasted.
4 Viajn urbojn Mi ruinigos, kaj vi mem dezertiĝos; kaj vi ekscios, ke Mi estas la Eternulo.
Thy cities will I lay in ruins, and thou thyself shalt be desolate, and thou shalt know that I am the Lord.
5 Ĉar vi havis eternan malamon, kaj elmetadis la Izraelidojn al glavo en la tempo de ilia malfeliĉo, kiam iliaj malbonagoj finiĝis:
Because thou hast had an undying hatred, and didst surrender the children of Israel to the power of the sword, at the time of their calamity, at the time of the iniquity of the end:
6 tial, kiel Mi vivas, diras la Sinjoro, la Eternulo, Mi faros vin sanganta, kaj sanga venĝo vin persekutos; ĉar vi ne malamis sangon, tial sanga venĝo vin persekutos.
Therefore, as I live, saith the Lord Eternal, I will surely let thy blood flow, and blood shall pursue thee; since thou didst not hate blood-shedding, so shall blood pursue thee.
7 Kaj Mi faros la monton Seir absoluta dezerto, kaj Mi malaperigos sur ĝi ĉian pasanton.
Thus will I change the mountain of Se'ir into a desolate land and a waste, and I will cut off from it him that travelleth forward and backward.
8 Mi plenigos ĝiajn altaĵojn de mortigitoj: sur viaj montetoj, en viaj valoj, kaj en ĉiuj viaj terfendoj kuŝos falintoj, mortigitaj de glavo.
And I will fill his mountains with his slain: as regardeth thy hills, and thy valleys, and all thy ravines, in them shall fall those that are slain by the sword.
9 Mi faros vin eterna dezerto, kaj viaj urboj ne estos loĝataj; kaj vi ekscios, ke Mi estas la Eternulo.
Into perpetual desolations will I change thee, and thy cities shall not be restored: and ye shall know that I am the Lord.
10 Pro tio, ke vi diris: Tiuj du popoloj kaj du landoj apartenos al mi, kaj ni ekposedos ilin, kvankam tie estas la Eternulo:
Because thou hast said, These two nations and these two countries shall indeed be mine, and we will take possession thereof; whereas the Lord was there:
11 tial, kiel Mi vivas, diras la Eternulo, Mi agos kun vi konforme al via kolero, kaj al via envio, kiun vi elmontris en via malamo kontraŭ ili; kaj oni ekkonos Min ĉe ili, kiam Mi juĝos vin.
Therefore, as I live, saith the Lord God, I will even do according to thy anger, and according to thy envy which thou didst use out of thy hatred against them; and I will make myself known among them, when I judge thee.
12 Kaj vi ekscios, ke Mi, la Eternulo, aŭdis ĉiujn viajn insultojn, kiujn vi eldiris pri la montoj de Izrael, dirante: Ili estas dezertigitaj kaj transdonitaj al ni, por ke ni konsumu ilin.
And thou shalt know that I am the Lord: I have heard all thy blasphemies which thou hast spoken against the mountains of Israel, saying, They are laid desolate, they are given unto us to consume them.
13 Vi faris vin grandaj antaŭ Mi per via buŝo, kaj vi multe parolis kontraŭ Mi; Mi tion aŭdis.
And ye boasted greatly against me with your mouth, and have multiplied against me your words: I have indeed heard them.
14 Tiele diras la Sinjoro, la Eternulo: Kiam la tuta tero ĝojos, Mi faros vin dezerto.
Thus hath said the Lord Eternal, When the whole earth rejoiceth, I will make thee desolate.
15 Kiel vi ĝojis pri la heredaĵo de la domo de Izrael, kiam ĝi dezertiĝis, tiel Mi agos kun vi: vi fariĝos dezerto, ho monto Seir kaj la tuta Edomujo; kaj oni ekscios, ke Mi estas la Eternulo.
As thou didst rejoice over the inheritance of the house of Israel, because it was made desolate: so will I do unto thee; desolate shalt thou be, O mountain of Se'ir, and all Idumea—altogether; and they shall know that I am the Lord.
