2 Samuel 16
1 Kiam David iom malsupreniris de la supro, jen venis al li renkonte Ciba, la servanto de Mefiboŝet, kun paro da selitaj azenoj, sur kiuj estis ducent panoj kaj cent sekvinberaj kukoj kaj cent sekigitaj fruktoj kaj felsako kun vino.
When David had gone a little beyond the summit, Ziba the servant of Mephibosheth was there to meet him. He had a pair of saddled donkeys loaded with two hundred loaves of bread, a hundred clusters of raisins, a hundred summer fruits, and a skin of wine.
2 Kaj la reĝo diris al Ciba: Por kio tio estas kun vi? Kaj Ciba respondis: La azenoj estas por la domo de la reĝo, por rajdi sur ili, kaj la pano kaj la fruktoj por la servantoj por manĝi, kaj la vino por trinki por la laciĝintoj en la dezerto.
“Why do you have these?” asked the king. Ziba replied, “The donkeys are for the king’s household to ride, the bread and summer fruit are for the young men to eat, and the wine is to refresh those who become exhausted in the wilderness.”
3 Kaj la reĝo diris: Kie estas la filo de via sinjoro? Ciba respondis al la reĝo: Li sidas en Jerusalem, ĉar li diras: Nun la domo de Izrael redonos al mi la regnon de mia patro.
“Where is your master’s grandson?” asked the king. And Ziba answered, “Indeed, he is staying in Jerusalem, for he has said, ‘Today, the house of Israel will restore to me the kingdom of my grandfather.’”
4 Tiam la reĝo diris al Ciba: Nun al vi apartenu ĉio, kion havas Mefiboŝet. Kaj Ciba diris: Mi adorkliniĝas; mi akiru vian favoron, mia sinjoro, ho reĝo.
So the king said to Ziba, “All that belongs to Mephibosheth is now yours!” “I humbly bow before you,” said Ziba. “May I find favor in your eyes, my lord the king!”
5 Kiam la reĝo David venis ĝis Baĥurim, jen el tie eliras viro el la familio de la domo de Saul; lia nomo estis Ŝimei, filo de Gera; elirante, li senĉese insultadis.
As King David approached Bahurim, a man from the family of the house of Saul was just coming out. His name was Shimei son of Gera, and as he approached, he kept yelling out curses.
6 Li ĵetis ŝtonojn sur Davidon kaj sur ĉiujn servantojn de la reĝo David; la tuta popolo kaj ĉiuj fortuloj estis dekstre kaj maldekstre de li.
He threw stones at David and at all the servants of the king, though the troops and all the mighty men were on David’s right and left.
7 Kaj tiel parolis Ŝimei, insultante: For, for, sangavidulo, malbonagulo!
And as he yelled curses, Shimei said, “Get out, get out, you worthless man of bloodshed!
8 la Eternulo revenigis sur vin la tutan sangon de la domo de Saul, sur kies loko vi fariĝis reĝo, kaj la Eternulo transdonis la regnon en la manon de via filo Abŝalom; tion vi havas pro via malboneco, ĉar vi estas sangavidulo.
The LORD has paid you back for all the blood of the house of Saul, in whose place you have reigned, and the LORD has delivered the kingdom into the hand of your son Absalom. See, you have come to ruin because you are a man of bloodshed!”
9 Tiam Abiŝaj, filo de Ceruja, diris al la reĝo: Kial insultu tiu senviva hundo mian sinjoron, la reĝon? permesu al mi iri kaj dehaki lian kapon.
Then Abishai son of Zeruiah said to the king, “Why should this dead dog curse my lord the king? Let me go over and cut off his head!”
10 Sed la reĝo diris: Kiel tio koncernas min kaj vin, filoj de Ceruja? li insultu; ĉar la Eternulo diris al li: Insultu Davidon. Kiu povas diri: Kial vi tion faras?
But the king replied, “What have I to do with you, O sons of Zeruiah? If he curses me because the LORD told him, ‘Curse David,’ who can ask, ‘Why did you do this?’”
11 Kaj David diris al Abiŝaj kaj al ĉiuj siaj servantoj: Jen mia filo, kiu eliris el mia interno, atencas mian animon; tiom pli tion povas fari nun la Benjamenido; lasu lin, kaj li insultu, ĉar la Eternulo tion ordonis al li.
Then David said to Abishai and to all his servants, “Behold, my own son, my own flesh and blood, seeks my life. How much more, then, this Benjamite! Leave him alone and let him curse me, for the LORD has told him so.
12 Eble la Eternulo vidos mian mizeron, kaj la Eternulo repagos al mi bonon anstataŭ lia hodiaŭa insultado.
Perhaps the LORD will see my affliction and repay me with good for the cursing I receive today.”
13 Kaj David kun siaj homoj daŭrigis sian vojon. Kaj Ŝimei iris laŭ la deklivo de la monto, kontraŭ li, iris kaj insultis, ĵetadis ŝtonojn sur lin, kaj ŝutadis sur lin teron.
So David and his men proceeded along the road as Shimei went along the ridge of the hill opposite him. As Shimei went, he yelled curses, threw stones, and flung dust at David.
14 La reĝo kaj la tuta popolo, kiu estis kun li, venis lacaj kaj ripozis tie.
Finally, the king and all the people with him arrived, exhausted. And there he refreshed himself.
15 Dume Abŝalom kaj ĉiuj Izraelidoj venis en Jerusalemon, kaj Aĥitofel kun li.
Then Absalom and all the men of Israel came to Jerusalem, and Ahithophel was with him.
16 Kiam Ĥuŝaj, la Arkano, amiko de David, venis al Abŝalom, li diris al Abŝalom: Vivu la reĝo! vivu la reĝo!
And David’s friend Hushai the Archite went to Absalom and said to him, “Long live the king! Long live the king!”
17 Kaj Abŝalom diris al Ĥuŝaj: Tia estas via amo al via amiko! kial vi ne iris kun via amiko?
“Is this the loyalty you show your friend?” Absalom replied. “Why did you not go with your friend?”
18 Sed Ĥuŝaj respondis al Abŝalom: Ne, sed kiun elektis la Eternulo kaj ĉi tiu popolo kaj ĉiuj Izraelidoj, al tiu mi apartenos, kaj kun li mi restos.
“Not at all,” Hushai answered. “For the one chosen by the LORD, by the people, and by all the men of Israel—his I will be, and with him I will remain.
19 Due, kiun mi servos? ĉu ne lian filon? kiel mi servis vian patron, tiel mi estos al vi.
Furthermore, whom should I serve if not the son? As I served in your father’s presence, so also I will serve in yours.”
20 Tiam Abŝalom diris al Aĥitofel: Konsiliĝu inter vi, kion ni devas fari.
Then Absalom said to Ahithophel, “Give me counsel. What should we do?”
21 Kaj Aĥitofel diris al Abŝalom: Eniru al la kromvirinoj de via patro, kiujn li restigis, por gardi la domon. Kiam ĉiuj Izraelidoj aŭdos, ke vi abomenigis al vi vian patron, tiam fortiĝos la manoj de ĉiuj, kiuj estas kun vi.
Ahithophel replied, “Sleep with your father’s concubines, whom he has left to keep the palace. When all Israel hears that you have become a stench to your father, then the hands of all who are with you will be strengthened.”
22 Tiam oni starigis por Abŝalom tendon sur la tegmento, kaj Abŝalom eniris al la kromvirinoj de sia patro antaŭ la okuloj de ĉiuj Izraelidoj.
So they pitched a tent for Absalom on the roof, and he slept with his father’s concubines in the sight of all Israel.
23 La konsiloj de Aĥitofel, kiujn li donadis en tiu tempo, havis tian valoron, kiel se oni demandus la decidon de Dio; tiaj estis ĉiuj konsiloj de Aĥitofel, kiel por David, tiel ankaŭ por Abŝalom.
Now in those days the advice of Ahithophel was like the consultation of the word of God. Such was the regard that both David and Absalom had for Ahithophel’s advice.
