2 Reĝoj 8

1 Eliŝa diris al la virino, kies filon li revivigis, jene: Leviĝu kaj iru, vi kaj via domo, kaj loĝu kelkan tempon tie, kie vi povos loĝi; ĉar la Eternulo alvokos malsaton, kaj ĝi venos en la landon por sep jaroj.

And Elisha' spoke unto the woman, whose son he had restored to life, saying, Arise, and go, thou and thy household, and sojourn wheresoever thou canst sojourn; for the Lord hath called for a famine, and it is also coming in the land for seven years.

2 Kaj la virino leviĝis kaj faris laŭ la vorto de la homo de Dio, kaj ŝi iris, ŝi kaj ŝia domo, kaj loĝis en la lando de la Filiŝtoj sep jarojn.

And the woman arose, and did after the word of the man of God; and she went, she with her household, and sojourned in the land of the Philistines seven years.

3 Post la paso de la sep jaroj la virino revenis el la lando de la Filiŝtoj, kaj ŝi iris, por klopodi ĉe la reĝo pri sia domo kaj pri sia kampo.

And it came to pass at the end of seven years, that the woman returned out of the land of the Philistines; and she went forth to cry unto the king for her house and for her land.

4 La reĝo tiam parolis kun Geĥazi, la junulo de la homo de Dio, dirante: Rakontu al mi ĉiujn grandajn farojn, kiujn faris Eliŝa.

And the king was just speaking with Gechazi the servant of the man of God, saying, Relate to me, I pray thee, all the great things that Elisha' hath done.

5 Dum li estis rakontanta al la reĝo, ke tiu revivigis mortinton, jen la virino, kies filon li revivigis, ekpetis la reĝon pri sia domo kaj pri sia kampo. Kaj Geĥazi diris: Mia sinjoro, ho reĝo, jen estas tiu virino, kaj jen estas ŝia filo, kiun Eliŝa revivigis.

And it came to pass, as he was just relating to the king how he had restored the dead to life, that, behold, the woman, whose son he had restored to life, cried to the king for her house and for her land. And Gechazi said, My lord, O king, this is the woman, and this is her son, whom Elisha' restored to life.

6 Kaj la reĝo demandis la virinon, kaj ŝi rakontis al li. Kaj la reĝo donis al ŝi unu korteganon, dirante: Redonu al ŝi ĉion, kio apartenas al ŝi, kaj ĉiujn enspezojn de la kampo de post la tago, kiam ŝi forlasis la landon, ĝis nun.

And the king asked of the woman, who related it to him. So the king appointed unto her a certain officer, saying, Restore all that belongeth to her, and all the products of the field since the day that she left the land, even until now.

7 Eliŝa venis en Damaskon. Ben-Hadad, reĝo de Sirio, tiam estis malsana. Kaj oni raportis al li, dirante: La homo de Dio venis ĉi tien.

And Elisha' came to Damascus; and Ben-hadad, the king of Syria, was sick; and it was told him, saying, The man of God is come even hither.

8 Tiam la reĝo diris al Ĥazael: Prenu en vian manon donacon, kaj iru renkonte al la homo de Dio, kaj demandu per li la Eternulon, ĉu mi resaniĝos de ĉi tiu malsano.

And the king said unto Chazael, Take a present in thy hand, and go to meet the man of God, and inquire of the Lord from him, saying, Shall I recover from this sickness?

9 Kaj Ĥazael iris renkonte al li, kaj prenis donacon en sian manon kaj da ĉio plej bona en Damasko tiom, kiom povas porti kvardek kameloj, kaj li venis kaj stariĝis antaŭ li, kaj diris: Via filo Ben-Hadad, reĝo de Sirio, sendis min al vi, por demandi: Ĉu mi resaniĝos de ĉi tiu malsano?

So Chazael went to meet him, and took a present in his hand, and all manner of good things of Damascus, a burden for forty camels, and he came and stood before him, and said, Thy son Ben-hadad the king of Syria hath sent me to thee, saying, Shall I recover from this sickness?

10 Kaj Eliŝa diris al li: Iru, diru al li: Vi resaniĝos. Sed la Eternulo montris al mi, ke li mortos.

And Elisha' said unto him, Go, say unto him, Thou mayest certainly recover; nevertheless the Lord hath shown me that he shall surely die.

11 Kaj li fikse rigardis lin, ĝis li hontiĝis, kaj la homo de Dio ploris.

And he restrained his countenance, and held back as long as he could: and then wept the man of God.

12 Ĥazael diris: Kial mia sinjoro ploras? Tiu respondis: Ĉar mi scias, kian malbonon vi faros al la Izraelidoj: iliajn fortikaĵojn vi forbruligos, iliajn junulojn vi mortigos per glavo, iliajn suĉinfanojn vi frakasos, kaj iliajn gravedulinojn vi disfendos.

And Chazael said, Why doth my Lord weep? And he said, Because I know what evil thou wilt do unto the children of Israel: their strong-holds wilt thou set on fire, and their young men wilt thou slay with the sword, and their children wilt thou dash, and their pregnant women wilt thou rip up.

13 Ĥazael diris: Kio estas via servanto, la hundo, ke li faru tiun grandan faron? Kaj Eliŝa diris: La Eternulo montris al mi, ke vi estos reĝo de Sirio.

And Chazael said, But what is thy servant, the dog, that he should do this great thing? And Elisha' said, The Lord hath caused me to see thee as king over Syria.

14 Li foriris de Eliŝa kaj venis al sia sinjoro. Ĉi tiu diris al li: Kion diris al vi Eliŝa? Kaj li respondis: Li diris al mi, ke vi resaniĝos.

So he went away from Elisha', and came to his master; who said to him, What hath Elisha' said to thee? And he said, he said to me that thou couldst surely recover.

15 Sed la sekvantan tagon li prenis la litkovrilon, kaj trempis ĝin en akvo kaj etendis ĝin sur lia vizaĝo, kaj li mortis. Kaj anstataŭ li ekreĝis Ĥazael.

And it came to pass on the morrow, that he took a cover lid, and dipped it in water, and spread it over his face, and he died: and Chazael became king in his stead.

16 En la kvina jaro de Joram, filo de Aĥab, reĝo de Izrael, post Jehoŝafat, reĝo de Judujo, ekreĝis Jehoram, filo de Jehoŝafat, reĝo de Judujo.

And in the fifth year of Joram the son of Achab the king of Israel, Jehoshaphat being yet king of Judah, Jehoram the son of Jehoshaphat the king of Judah became king.

17 Li havis la aĝon de tridek du jaroj, kiam li fariĝis reĝo, kaj ok jarojn li reĝis en Jerusalem.

Thirty and two years old was he when he became king, and eight years did he reign in Jerusalem.

18 Li iradis laŭ la vojo de la reĝoj de Izrael, kiel faris la domo de Aĥab, ĉar filino de Aĥab estis lia edzino, kaj li faradis malbonon antaŭ la Eternulo.

And he walked in the way of the kings of Israel, as the house of Achab had done; for a daughter of Achab had he for wife: and he did what is evil in the eyes of the Lord.

19 Tamen la Eternulo ne volis pereigi Judujon, pro Sia servanto David, ĉar Li promesis al li doni lumilon al li kaj al liaj filoj por ĉiam.

Yet would the Lord not destroy Judah for the sake of David his servant, as he said unto him, to give him a government and to his children at all times.

20 En lia tempo la Edomidoj defalis de Judujo kaj starigis super si reĝon.

In his days Edom revolted from under the power of Judah, and they appointed a king over themselves.

21 Joram iris Cairon kune kun ĉiuj siaj ĉaroj; kaj li leviĝis nokte, kaj venkobatis la Edomidojn, kiuj estis ĉirkaŭ li, kaj la ĉarestrojn; kaj la popolo forkuris al siaj tendoj.

And Joram went over to Za'ir, and all the chariots were with him; and he rose up by night, and smote the Edomites who compassed him about, and the captains of the chariots: and the people fled unto their tents.

22 Tamen la Edomidoj restis defalintaj de Judujo ĝis la nuna tago. Tiam defalis ankaŭ Libna en la sama tempo.

Yet Edom revolted from under the power of Judah even until this day; then did Libnah revolt at the same time.

23 La cetera historio de Joram, kaj ĉio, kion li faris, estas priskribitaj en la libro de kroniko de la reĝoj de Judujo.

And the rest of the acts of Joram, and all that he did, behold, they are written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah.

24 Kaj Joram ekdormis kun siaj patroj, kaj oni enterigis lin kun liaj patroj en la urbo de David. Kaj anstataŭ li ekreĝis lia filo Aĥazja.

And Joram slept with his fathers, and was buried with his fathers in the city of David: and Achazyahu his son became king in his stead.

25 En la dek-dua jaro de Joram, filo de Aĥab, reĝo de Izrael, ekreĝis Aĥazja, filo de Jehoram, reĝo de Judujo.

In the twelfth year of Joram the son of Achab the king of Israel became Achazyahu, the son of Jehoram the king of Judah, king.

26 La aĝon de dudek du jaroj havis Aĥazja, kiam li fariĝis reĝo, kaj unu jaron li reĝis en Jerusalem. La nomo de lia patrino estis Atalja, filino de Omri, reĝo de Izrael.

Two and twenty years old was Achazyahu when he became king; and one year did he reign in Jerusalem. And his mother's name was 'Athalyahu, the [grand-]daughter of 'Omri the king of Israel.

27 Kaj li iradis laŭ la vojo de la domo de Aĥab, kaj faradis malbonon antaŭ la Eternulo, kiel la domo de Aĥab, ĉar li estis boparenco de la domo de Aĥab.

And he walked in the way of the house of Achab, and did what is evil in the eyes of the Lord, like the house of Achab; for he was the son-in-law of the house of Achab.

28 Li iris kun Joram, filo de Aĥab, milite kontraŭ Ĥazaelon, reĝon de Sirio, al Ramot en Gilead; kaj la Sirianoj vundis Joramon.

And he went with Joram the son of Achab to the war against Chazael the king of Syria at Ramoth-gil'ad: and the Syrians smote Joram.

29 Kaj la reĝo Joram revenis, por kuraci sin en Jizreel de la vundoj, kiujn faris al li la Sirianoj en Ramot, kiam li batalis kontraŭ Ĥazael, reĝo de Sirio. Kaj Aĥazja, filo de Jehoram, reĝo de Judujo, iris, por viziti Joramon, filon de Aĥab, en Jizreel, ĉar ĉi tiu estis malsana.

And king Joram returned to be healed in Yizre'el of the wounds which the Syrians had inflicted on him at Ramah, when he was fighting against Chazael the king of Syria. And Achazyahu the son of Jehoram the king of Judah went down to see Joram the son of Achab in Yizre'el, because he was sick.
