1 Samuel 27
1 Tamen David diris al si mem: Mi povas enfali iun tagon en la manon de Saul; estas por mi nenio pli bona, ol ke mi forkuru en la landon de la Filiŝtoj, por ke Saul ĉesu serĉi min plu en la regionoj de Izrael, kaj por ke mi saviĝu kontraŭ lia mano.
And David said in his heart, Now I may yet perish suddenly one day by the hand of Saul; there is nothing better for me than that I should escape at once into the land of the Philistines, then Saul will abstain from me, to seek me any more in all the territory of Israel: and so shall I escape out of his hand.
2 Kaj David leviĝis kaj transiris, li kaj la sescent viroj, kiuj estis kun li, al Aĥiŝ, filo de Maoĥ, reĝo de Gat.
And David arose, and he passed over himself with the six hundred men that were with him unto Achish, the son of Ma'och, the king of Gath.
3 Kaj David ekloĝis ĉe Aĥiŝ en Gat, li kaj liaj viroj, ĉiu kun sia domo, David kun siaj du edzinoj, Aĥinoam, la Jizreelanino, kaj Abigail, edzino de Nabal, la Karmelanino.
And David remained with Achish at Gath, he and his men, every man with his household, also David with his two wives, Achino'am the Yizre'elitess, and Abigayil, Nabal's wife, the Carmelitess.
4 Kiam oni raportis al Saul, ke David forkuris en Gaton, li ne plu serĉis lin.
And when it was told unto Saul that David was fled to Gath, he continued no more to seek for him.
5 Kaj David diris al Aĥiŝ: Se mi akiris vian favoron, oni donu al mi, mi petas, lokon en unu el la urboj de la kamparo, por ke mi ekloĝu tie; por kio via sklavo loĝu en via reĝa urbo kune kun vi?
And David said unto Achish, If now I have found grace in thy eyes, let them give me a place in some one of the country-towns, that I may dwell there; for why should thy servant dwell in the royal city with thee?
6 Kaj Aĥiŝ donis al li en tiu tago Ciklagon; pro tio Ciklag fariĝis apartenaĵo de la reĝoj de Judujo ĝis nun.
Then gave Achish unto him on that day Ziklag: therefore hath Ziklag pertained unto the kings of Judah until this day.
7 La nombro de la tagoj, kiujn David traloĝis en la regiono de la Filiŝtoj, estis unu jaro kaj kvar monatoj.
And the number of the days that David dwelt in the fields of the Philistines was a full year and four months.
8 Kaj David kun siaj viroj iris kaj atakis la Geŝuridojn kaj Gezeridojn kaj Amalekidojn, ĉar ili loĝis en tiu lando de antikva tempo ĝis Ŝur kaj ĝis la lando Egipta.
And David and his men went up, and invaded the Geshurites, and the Gizrites, and the 'Amalekites; for these nations were of old the inhabitants of the land, till thou comest to Shur, and as far as the land of Egypt.
9 Kiam David venkobatis la landon, li lasis la vivon nek al viroj nek al virinoj, sed prenis ŝafojn kaj bovojn kaj azenojn kaj kamelojn kaj vestojn, kaj reiris kaj venis al Aĥiŝ.
And David smote the land, and left not alive either man or woman, and took away the flocks, and the oxen, and the asses, and the camels, and the apparel, and returned, and came to Achish.
10 Kiam Aĥiŝ demandis: Ĉu vi ne faris hodiaŭ atakon? David respondis: Sur la sudan regionon de Jehuda, sur la sudan regionon de la Jeraĥmeelidoj, kaj sur la sudan regionon de la Kenidoj.
And Achish said, Whither have ye made an inroad today? And David said, Against the south of Judah, and against the south of the Yerachmeelites, and against the south of the Kenites.
11 Nek viron nek virinon David lasis veni viva en Gaton, dirante: Ili ne parolu kontraŭ ni, dirante, ke tiel agis David. Kaj tia estis lia maniero de agado dum la tuta tempo, kiun li loĝis en la regiono de la Filiŝtoj.
And David left not alive either man or woman, to bring [them] to Gath, saying, That they may not tell on us, saying, So hath David done, and so is his custom all the days he hath dwelt in the fields of the Philistines.
12 Kaj Aĥiŝ fidis Davidon, dirante: Li faris sin abomeninda antaŭ sia popolo Izrael, kaj tial li estos mia sklavo por ĉiam.
And Achish had confidence in David, saying, He hath surely spoiled his odor among his people, among Israel; and he will become unto me a servant for ever.
