Zephaniah 3
1 Woe [to] the rebellious and polluted, The oppressing city!
௧கலகம் செய்கிறதும், கந்தையும், அழுக்குமாயிருக்கிற நகரத்திற்கு ஐயோ,
2 She hath not hearkened to the voice, She hath not accepted instruction, In Jehovah she hath not trusted, Unto her God she hath not drawn near.
௨அது சத்தத்திற்குச் செவிகொடுக்கவில்லை; அது கடிந்துகொள்ளுதலை ஏற்றுக்கொள்ளவில்லை; அது யெகோவாவை நம்பவில்லை; அது தன் தேவனிடத்தில் சேரவில்லை.
3 Her heads in her midst [are] roaring lions, Her judges [are] evening wolves, They have not gnawn the bone in the morning.
௩அதற்குள்ளே இருக்கிற அதின் அதிபதிகள் கெர்ச்சிக்கிற சிங்கங்கள்; அதின் நியாயாதிபதிகள் மாலையில் புறப்படுகிறதும் விடியற்காலம்வரை ஒரு எலும்பையும் மீதியாக வைக்காததுமான ஓநாய்கள்.
4 Her prophets unstable — men of treachery, Her priests have polluted the sanctuary, They have violated the law.
௪அதின் தீர்க்கதரிசிகள் வீண்பெருமையும் வஞ்சகமுமுள்ளவர்கள்; அதின் ஆசாரியர்கள் பரிசுத்த ஸ்தலத்தைப் பரிசுத்தக்குலைச்சலாக்கி, வேதத்திற்குத் துரோகம்செய்தார்கள்.
5 Jehovah [is] righteous in her midst, He doth not do perverseness, Morning by morning His judgment he giveth to the light, It hath not been lacking, And the perverse doth not know shame.
௫அதற்குள் இருக்கிற யெகோவா நீதியுள்ளவர்; அவர் அநியாயம்செய்வதில்லை; அவர் குறைவில்லாமல் காலைதோறும் தம்முடைய நியாயத்தை விளங்கச்செய்கிறார்; அநியாயக்காரனுக்கு வெட்கம் தெரியாது.
6 I have cut off nations, Desolated have been their chief ones, I have laid waste their out-places without any passing by, Destroyed have been their cities, Without man, without inhabitant.
௬தேசங்களை அழித்தேன்; அவர்கள் கோட்டைகள் பாழாயின; அவர்களுடைய வீதிகளை ஒருவரும் கடந்துபோகாதபடிக்குப் பாழாக்கினேன்; அவர்களுடைய பட்டணங்கள் மனிதர்கள் குடியில்லாமல்போய் வெறுமையாயின.
7 I have said: Only, ye do fear Me, Ye do accept instruction, And her habitation is not cut off, All that I have appointed for her, But they have risen early, They have corrupted all their doings.
௭உன் குடியிருப்பு அழிந்துபோகாமலிருக்க நீ எனக்குப் பயந்து, கடிந்துகொள்ளுதலை ஏற்றுக்கொள் என்றேன்; நான் அவர்களை எப்படித் தண்டித்தாலும், அவர்கள் அதிகாலையில் எழுந்து தங்கள் செயல்களையெல்லாம் கேடாக்கினார்கள்.
8 Therefore, wait for Me — an affirmation of Jehovah, For the day of My rising for prey, For My judgment [is] to gather nations, To assemble kingdoms, To pour out on them Mine indignation, All the heat of Mine anger, For by the fire of My jealousy consumed is all the earth.
௮ஆகையால் நான் கொள்ளையடிக்க எழும்பும் நாள்வரை எனக்குக் காத்திருங்கள் என்று யெகோவா சொல்லுகிறார்; என் சினமாகிய கடுங்கோபத்தையெல்லாம் அவர்கள்மேல் ஊற்றும்படி தேசங்களைச் சேர்க்கவும், இராஜ்யங்களைக் கூட்டவும் நான் தீர்மானம்செய்தேன்; பூமியெல்லாம் என் எரிச்சலின் நெருப்பினால் அழியும்.
9 For then do I turn unto peoples a pure lip, To call all of them by the name of Jehovah, To serve Him [with] one shoulder.
௯அப்பொழுது மக்களெல்லோரும் யெகோவாவுடைய நாமத்தைத் தொழுதுகொண்டு, ஒருமனப்பட்டு அவருக்கு ஆராதனை செய்யும்படிக்கு, நான் அவர்களுடைய மொழியை செம்மையான மொழியாக மாறச்செய்வேன்.
10 From beyond the rivers of Cush, my supplicants, The daughter of My scattered ones, Do bring My present.
௧0எத்தியோப்பியாவின் நதிகளுக்கு மறுகரையிலிருந்து என்னிடத்தில் விண்ணப்பம்செய்கிறவர்களாகிய சிதறடிக்கப்பட்டவர்களின் மகளானவள் எனக்குக் காணிக்கை கொண்டுவருவாள்.
11 In that day thou art not ashamed because of any of thine actions, Wherewith thou hast transgressed against Me, For then do I turn aside from thy midst The exulting ones of thine excellency, And thou dost add no more to be haughty, In My holy mountain.
௧௧எனக்கு விரோதமாகத் துரோகம்செய்து, நீ செய்த உன் எல்லாச் செயல்களினிமித்தமும், அந்நாளிலே வெட்கப்படாதிருப்பாய்; அப்பொழுது நான் தங்கள் பெருமையைக்குறித்து மகிழ்ந்தவர்களை உன் நடுவிலிருந்து விலக்கிவிடுவேன்; நீ இனி என் பரிசுத்த மலையில் அகங்காரங்கொள்ளமாட்டாய்.
12 And I have left in thy midst a people humble and poor, And they have trusted in the name of Jehovah.
௧௨உன் நடுவில் சிறுமையும் எளிமையுமான மக்களை மீதியாக வைப்பேன்; அவர்கள் யெகோவாவுடைய நாமத்தின்மேல் நம்பிக்கையாயிருப்பார்கள்.
13 The remnant of Israel do no perversity, nor speak lies, Nor found in their mouth is a deceitful tongue, For they have delight, and have lain down, And there is none troubling.
௧௩இஸ்ரவேலில் மீதியானவர்கள் அநியாயம்செய்வதில்லை; அவர்கள் பொய் பேசுவதுமில்லை; வஞ்சகநாவு அவர்கள் வாயில் கண்டுபிடிக்கப்படுவதுமில்லை; அவர்கள் தங்களைப் பயப்படுத்துவாரில்லாமல் சாப்பிட்டுப் படுத்துக்கொள்வார்கள்.
14 Cry aloud, O daughter of Zion, shout, O Israel, Rejoice and exult with the whole heart, O daughter of Jerusalem.
௧௪மகளாகிய சீயோனே, கெம்பீரித்துப்பாடு; இஸ்ரவேலர்களே, ஆர்ப்பரியுங்கள்; மகளாகிய எருசலேமே, நீ முழு இருதயத்தோடும் மகிழ்ந்து களிகூரு.
15 Jehovah hath turned aside thy judgments, He hath faced thine enemy, The king of Israel, Jehovah, [is] in thy midst, Thou seest evil no more.
௧௫யெகோவா உன் ஆக்கினைகளை அகற்றி, உன் எதிரிகளை விலக்கினார்; இஸ்ரவேலின் ராஜாவாகிய யெகோவா உன் நடுவிலே இருக்கிறார்; இனித்தீங்கைக் காணாதிருப்பாய்.
16 In that day it is said to Jerusalem, 'Fear not, O Zion, let not thy hands be feeble.
௧௬அந்நாளிலே எருசலேமைப் பார்த்து, பயப்படாதே என்றும், சீயோனைப் பார்த்து, உன் கைகளைத் தளரவிடாதே என்றும் சொல்லப்படும்.
17 Jehovah thy God [is] in thy midst, A mighty one doth save, He rejoiceth over thee with joy, He doth work in His love, He joyeth over thee with singing.'
௧௭உன் தேவனாகிய யெகோவா உன் நடுவில் இருக்கிறார்; அவர் வல்லமையுள்ளவர், அவர் இரட்சிப்பார்; அவர் உன்னைக்குறித்து சந்தோஷமாக மகிழ்ந்து, தம்முடைய அன்பினிமித்தம் உன்னை புதியவனாக்குவார்; அவர் உன்னைக்குறித்து கெம்பீரமாகக் களிகூருவார்.
18 Mine afflicted from the appointed place I have gathered, from thee they have been, Bearing for her sake reproach.
௧௮உன் சபையின் மனிதர்களாயிருந்து, பண்டிகை ஆசரிப்பில்லாமையால் உண்டான நிந்தையினிமித்தம் சஞ்சலப்பட்டவர்களை நான் ஏகமாகக் கூட்டிக்கொள்ளுவேன்.
19 Lo, I am dealing with all afflicting thee at that time, And I have saved the halting one, And the driven out ones I do gather, And have set them for a praise and for a name, In all the land of their shame.
௧௯இதோ, அக்காலத்திலே உன்னைச் சிறுமைப்படுத்தின அனைவரையும் தண்டிப்பேன்; நொண்டியானவனை இரட்சித்து, தள்ளுண்டவனைச் சேர்த்துக்கொள்ளுவேன்; அவர்கள் வெட்கம் அநுபவித்த எல்லா தேசங்களிலும் அவர்களுக்குப் புகழ்ச்சியும் கீர்த்தியும் உண்டாகச்செய்வேன்.
20 At that time I bring you in, Even at the time of My assembling you, For I give you for a name, and for a praise, Among all peoples of the land, In My turning back [to] your captivity before your eyes, said Jehovah!
௨0அக்காலத்திலே உங்களைக் கூட்டிக்கொண்டு வருவேன்; அக்காலத்திலே உங்களைச் சேர்த்துக்கொள்ளுவேன்; உங்கள் கண்காண நான் உங்கள் சிறையிருப்பைத் திருப்பும்போது, பூமியிலுள்ள சகல மக்களுக்குள்ளும் நான் உங்களைக் கீர்த்தியும் புகழ்ச்சியுமாக வைப்பேன் என்று யெகோவா சொல்லுகிறார்.
