Zechariah 5

1 And I turn back, and lift up mine eyes, and look, and lo, a flying roll.

Og jeg opløftede atter mine Øjne og saa, og se, en flyvende Bogrulle!

2 And he saith unto me, 'What art thou seeing?' And I say, 'I am seeing a flying roll, its length twenty by the cubit, and its breadth ten by the cubit.'

Og han sagde til mig: Hvad ser du? og jeg sagde: Jeg ser en flyvende Bogrulle, dens Længde tyve Alen og dens Bredde ti Alen.

3 And he saith unto me, 'This [is] the execration that is going forth over the face of all the land, for every one who is stealing, on the one side, according to it, hath been declared innocent, and every one who hath sworn, on the other side, according to it, hath been declared innocent.

Da sagde han til mig: Dette er den Forbandelse, som udgaar over det ganske Land, thi hver den, som stjæler, skal efter den udryddes herfra og hver den, som sværger, skal efter den udryddes derfra.

4 'I have brought it out — an affirmation of Jehovah of Hosts — and it hath come in unto the house of the thief, and unto the house of him who hath sworn in My name to a falsehood, and it hath remained in the midst of his house, and hath consumed it, both its wood and its stones.'

Jeg lod den udgaa, siger den Herre Zebaoth, at den skal komme til Tyvens Hus og til hans Hus, som sværger falskelig ved mit Navn, og den skal blive Natten over i hans Hus og fortære det, baade dets Tømmer og dets Stene.

5 And the messenger who is speaking with me goeth forth, and saith unto me, 'Lift up, I pray thee, thine eyes, and see what [is] this that is coming forth?'

Og Engelen, som talte med mig, gik ud og sagde til mig: Opløft dog dine Øjne, og se, hvad er dette, som der gaar ud?

6 And I say, 'What [is] it?' And he saith, 'This — the ephah that is coming forth.' And he saith, 'This [is] their aspect in all the land.

Og jeg sagde: Hvad er det? og han sagde: Dette er den Efa, som gaar ud; og han sagde: Dette er deres Øjemærke i hele Landet.

7 And lo, a cake of lead lifted up; and this [is] a woman sitting in the midst of the ephah.'

Og se, et Laag af Bly blev løftet op, og da var der een Kvinde, som sad midt i Efaen;

8 And he saith, 'This [is] the wicked woman.' And he casteth her unto the midst of the ephah, and casteth the weight of lead on its mouth.

og han sagde: Dette er Ugudeligheden; og han kastede hende midt ned i Efaen og kastede Blyvægten for dens Munding.

9 And I lift up mine eyes, and see, and lo, two women are coming forth, and wind in their wings; and they have wings like wings of the stork, and they lift up the ephah between the earth and the heavens.

Og jeg opløftede mipe Øjne og saa, og se, to Kvinder gik frem, og der var Vind i deres Vinger, og de havde Vinger som Storkens Vinger, og de opløftede Efaen imellem Jorden og Himmelen.

10 And I say unto the messenger who is speaking with me, 'Whither [are] they causing the ephah to go?'

Og jeg sagde til Engelen, som talte med mig: Hvor føre disse Efaen hen?

11 And he saith unto me, 'To build to it a house in the land of Shinar.' And it hath been prepared and hath been placed there on its base.

Og han sagde til mig: Hen at bygge hende et Hus i Landet Sinear, at hun, naar det er indrettet, kan sættes der paa sit Sted.
