Zechariah 3

1 And he sheweth me Joshua the high priest standing before the messenger of Jehovah, and the Adversary standing at his right hand, to be an adversary to him.

Et il me fit voir Joshua, le grand sacrificateur, debout devant l’Ange de l’Éternel, et Satan se tenant à sa droite pour s’opposer à lui.

2 And Jehovah saith unto the Adversary: 'Jehovah doth push against thee, O Adversary, Yea, push against thee doth Jehovah, Who is fixing on Jerusalem, Is not this a brand delivered from fire?'

Et l’Éternel dit à Satan: Que l’Éternel te tance, Satan; que l’Éternel, qui a choisi Jérusalem, te tance! Celui-ci n’est-il pas un tison sauvé du feu?

3 And Joshua was clothed with filthy garments, and is standing before the messenger.

Et Joshua était vêtu de vêtements sales, et se tenait devant l’Ange.

4 And he answereth and speaketh unto those standing before him, saying: 'Turn aside the filthy garments from off him.' And he saith unto him, 'See, I have caused thine iniquity to pass away from off thee, so as to clothe thee with costly apparel.'

Et [l’Ange] prit la parole et parla à ceux qui se tenaient devant lui, disant: Ôtez de dessus lui les vêtements sales. Et il lui dit: Regarde, j’ai fait passer de dessus toi ton iniquité, et je te revêts d’habits de fête.

5 He also said, 'Let them set a pure diadem on his head. And they set the pure diadem on his head, and clothe him with garments. And the messenger of Jehovah is standing,

Et je dis: Qu’ils mettent une tiare pure sur sa tête; et ils mirent la tiare pure sur sa tête, et le revêtirent de vêtements; et l’Ange de l’Éternel se tenait là.

6 and the messenger of Jehovah doth protest to Joshua, saying:

Et l’Ange de l’Éternel protesta à Joshua, disant:

7 'Thus said Jehovah of Hosts: If in My ways thou dost walk, And if My charge thou dost keep, Then also thou dost judge My house, And also thou dost keep My courts, And I have given to thee conductors among these standing by.

Ainsi dit l’Éternel des armées: Si tu marches dans mes voies, et si tu fais l’acquit de la charge que je te confie, alors tu jugeras aussi ma maison, et tu auras aussi la garde de mes parvis, et je te donnerai de marcher au milieu de ceux-ci qui se tiennent [devant moi].

8 Hear, I pray thee, Joshua, the high priest, Thou and thy companions sitting before thee, (For men of type [are] they, ) For lo, I am bringing in My servant — a Shoot.

Écoute, Joshua, grand sacrificateur, toi et tes compagnons qui sont assis devant toi, car ce sont des hommes [qui servent] de signes; car voici, je ferai venir mon serviteur, le Germe.

9 For lo, the stone that I put before Joshua, On one stone [are] seven eyes, Lo, I am graving its graving, An affirmation of Jehovah of Hosts, And I have removed the iniquity of that land in one day.

Car voici, la pierre que j’ai placée devant Joshua; sur cette seule pierre, [il y aura] sept yeux; voici, j’en graverai la gravure, dit l’Éternel des armées; et j’ôterai l’iniquité de ce pays en un seul jour.

10 In that day — an affirmation of Jehovah of Hosts, Ye do call, each unto his neighbour, Unto the place of the vine, And unto the place of the fig-tree!'

En ce jour-là, dit l’Éternel des armées, vous convierez chacun son prochain sous la vigne et sous le figuier.
