Titus 3

1 Remind them to be subject to principalities and authorities, to obey rule, unto every good work to be ready,

Memorigu ilin, ke ili submetiĝu al regantoj kaj estroj, ke ili estu obeemaj, pretaj por ĉiu bona laboro,

2 of no one to speak evil, not to be quarrelsome — gentle, showing all meekness to all men,

ke ili ne parolu malbonon pri iu ajn, estu ne malpacemaj, sed dolĉanimaj, montrantaj ĉian mildecon al ĉiuj homoj.

3 for we were once — also we — thoughtless, disobedient, led astray, serving desires and pleasures manifold, in malice and envy living, odious — hating one another;

Ĉar ni ankaŭ estis iam malsaĝaj, malobeemaj, trompitaj, servantaj al diversaj pasioj kaj voluptoj, vivantaj en malico kaj envio, malamindaj, kaj malamantaj unu la alian.

4 and when the kindness and the love to men of God our Saviour did appear

Sed kiam aperis la boneco de Dio, nia Savanto, kaj Lia amo al homoj,

5 (not by works that [are] in righteousness that we did but according to His kindness, ) He did save us, through a bathing of regeneration, and a renewing of the Holy Spirit,

ne per laboroj faritaj en justeco, kiujn ni mem farus, sed laŭ Sia kompato Li savis nin, per la lavado de renasko, kaj per la renovigo de la Sankta Spirito,

6 which He poured upon us richly, through Jesus Christ our Saviour,

kiun Li riĉe surverŝis sur nin per Jesuo Kristo, nia Savanto;

7 that having been declared righteous by His grace, heirs we may become according to the hope of life age-during. (aiōnios g166)

por ke ni, justigite per Lia graco, fariĝu heredantoj laŭ la espero de eterna vivo. (aiōnios g166)

8 Stedfast [is] the word; and concerning these things I counsel thee to affirm fully, that they may be thoughtful, to be leading in good works — who have believed God; these are the good and profitable things to men,

Fidinda estas la diro, kaj mi volas, ke pri tio vi atestadu kun certeco, por ke tiuj, kiuj ekkredis al Dio, zorgu pri bonaj faroj. Tiuj aferoj estas bonaj kaj utilaj al la homoj;

9 and foolish questions, and genealogies, and contentions, and strivings about law, stand away from — for they are unprofitable and vain.

sed evitu malsaĝajn demandojn kaj genealogiojn kaj diskutojn kaj prileĝajn disputojn, ĉar ili montriĝas senutilaj kaj vanaj.

10 A sectarian man, after a first and second admonition be rejecting,

Se iu estas herezulo ankoraŭ post unua admono kaj dua, evitu tiun,

11 having known that he hath been subverted who [is] such, and doth sin, being self-condemned.

sciante, ke tia homo perversiĝis kaj pekas, estante memkondamnita.

12 When I shall send Artemas unto thee, or Tychicus, be diligent to come unto me to Nicopolis, for there to winter I have determined.

Kiam mi sendos al vi Artemason aŭ Tiĥikon, rapidu veni al mi al Nikopolis; ĉar mi decidis travintri tie.

13 Zenas the lawyer and Apollos bring diligently on their way, that nothing to them may be lacking,

Antaŭen irigu Zenason, la leĝiston, kaj Apoloson sur ilia vojaĝo kiel eble plej rapide, por ke nenio manku al ili.

14 and let them learn — ours also — to be leading in good works to the necessary uses, that they may not be unfruitful.

Kaj niaj amikoj ankaŭ lernu daŭrigi bonajn laborojn, por necesaj bezonoj, por ke ili ne estu senfruktaj.

15 Salute thee do all those with me; salute those loving us in faith; the grace [is] with you all!

Ĉiuj, kiuj estas ĉe mi, vin salutas. Salutu vi tiujn, kiuj amas nin en la fido. Graco estu kun vi ĉiuj.
