Ruth 3
1 And Naomi her mother-in-law saith to her, 'My daughter, do not I seek for thee rest, that it may be well with thee?
೧ನವೊಮಿಯು ಸೊಸೆಗೆ, “ನನ್ನ ಮಗಳೇ, ನಿನಗೆ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯದಾಗುವುದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ, ನೀನು ಗೃಹಿಣಿಯಾಗಿ ಸುಖದಿಂದಿರುವುದಕ್ಕೋಸ್ಕರ ನಾನು ಪ್ರಯತ್ನಿಸಬೇಕಲ್ಲವೇ?
2 and now, is not Boaz of our acquaintance, with whose young women thou hast been? lo, he is winnowing the threshing-floor of barley to-night,
೨ಈಗ ನೀನು ಯಾರ ಹೆಣ್ಣಾಳುಗಳ ಜೊತೆಯಲ್ಲಿರುತ್ತೀಯೋ ಆ ಬೋವಜನು ನಮ್ಮ ಸಂಬಂಧಿಕನಲ್ಲವೇ? ಅವನು ಈ ರಾತ್ರಿ ಕಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಜವೆಗೋದಿಯನ್ನು ತೂರುವನು.
3 and thou hast bathed, and anointed thyself, and put thy garments upon thee, and gone down to the threshing-floor; let not thyself be known to the man till he complete to eat and to drink;
೩ನೀನು ಸ್ನಾನಮಾಡಿ, ಸುಗಂಧತೈಲವನ್ನು ಹಚ್ಚಿಕೊಂಡು, ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠವಸ್ತ್ರಗಳನ್ನು ಧರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಅಲ್ಲಿಗೆ ಹೋಗು; ಅವನು ಅನ್ನಪಾನಗಳನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳುವವರೆಗೂ ಮರೆಯಾಗಿದ್ದು.
4 and it cometh to pass when he lieth down, that thou hast known the place where he lieth down, and hast gone in, and uncovered his feet, and lain down, — and he doth declare to thee that which thou dost do.'
೪ಅವನು ಮಲಗಿದ ಸ್ಥಳವನ್ನು ತಿಳಿದುಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗಿ ಅವನ ಕಾಲುಗಳ ಮೇಲಣ ಹೊದಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಅಲ್ಲೇ ಮಲಗಿಕೋ; ಆ ಮೇಲೆ ಮಾಡತಕ್ಕದ್ದನ್ನು ಅವನು ನಿನಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸುವನು” ಅಂದಳು.
5 And she saith unto her, 'All that thou sayest — I do.'
೫ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ರೂತಳು “ನೀನು ಹೇಳಿದ ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಮಾಡುವೆನು” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದಳು.
6 And she goeth down [to] the threshing-floor, and doth according to all that her mother-in-law commanded her
೬ಅತ್ತೆಯ ಆಜ್ಞೆಯಂತೆಯೇ ಕಣಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗಿ,
7 And Boaz eateth and drinketh, and his heart is glad; and he goeth in to lie down at the end of the heap; and she cometh in gently, and uncovereth his feet, and lieth down.
೭ಬೋವಜನು ಅನ್ನಪಾನಗಳನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಸಂತುಷ್ಟನಾಗಿ ರಾಶಿಯ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮಲಗಿದ ಮೇಲೆ ರಹಸ್ಯವಾಗಿ ಬಂದು ಅವನ ಕಾಲುಗಳ ಮೇಲಣ ಹೊದಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಬಿಟ್ಟು, ಕಾಲ್ಬದಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮಲಗಿದಳು.
8 And it cometh to pass, at the middle of the night, that the man trembleth, and turneth himself, and lo, a woman is lying at his feet.
೮ಮಧ್ಯರಾತ್ರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಎಚ್ಚರವಾದಾಗ ಬೋವಜನು ತನ್ನ ಕಾಲುಗಳ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮಲಗಿರುವ ಹೆಂಗಸನ್ನು ಕಂಡು,
9 And he saith, 'Who [art] thou?' and she saith, 'I [am] Ruth thy handmaid, and thou hast spread thy skirt over thy handmaid, for thou [art] a redeemer.'
೯ಹೆದರಿ ಆಕೆಯನ್ನು “ನೀನು ಯಾರು?” ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಲು ಆಕೆಯು “ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನ ದಾಸಿಯಾದ ರೂತಳು, ನೀನು ಸಮೀಪಬಂಧುವಾಗಿರುವುದರಿಂದ ನಿನ್ನ ಹೊದಿಕೆಯ ಅಂಚನ್ನು ನನ್ನ ಮೇಲೆ ಹಾಕು” ಅಂದಳು.
10 And he saith, 'Blessed [art] thou of Jehovah, my daughter; thou hast dealt more kindly at the latter end than at the beginning — not to go after the young men, either poor or rich.
೧೦ಆಗ ಅವನು “ಮಗಳೇ, ಯೆಹೋವನಿಂದ ನಿನಗೆ ಆಶೀರ್ವಾದವಾಗಲಿ; ನೀನು ಬಡವರೂ ಅಥವಾ ಐಶ್ವರ್ಯವಂತರೂ ಆದ ಯೌವನಸ್ಥರ ಹಿಂದೆ ಹೋಗಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಈಗ ನಿನ್ನ ಪತಿಭಕ್ತಿಯು ಮೊದಲಗಿಂತ ವಿಶೇಷವಾಗಿ ಪ್ರತ್ಯಕ್ಷವಾಯಿತು.
11 And now, my daughter, fear not, all that thou sayest I do to thee, for all the gate of my people doth know that thou [art] a virtuous woman.
೧೧ನನ್ನ ಮಗಳೇ, ಈಗ ಭಯಪಡಬೇಡ. ನೀನು ಗುಣವಂತೆಯೆಂಬುದು ಊರಿನವರಿಗೆಲ್ಲಾ ತಿಳಿದಿದೆ; ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ನೀನು ಹೇಳಿದ್ದನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಮಾಡುವೆನು.
12 And now, surely, true, that I [am] a redeemer, but also there is a redeemer nearer than I.
೧೨ನಾನು ಸಮೀಪಬಂಧುವೆಂಬುದು ನಿಜ; ಆದರೂ ನನಗಿಂತ ಸಮೀಪ ಬಂಧು ಒಬ್ಬನಿದ್ದಾನೆ.
13 Lodge to night, and it hath been in the morning, if he doth redeem thee, well: he redeemeth; and if he delight not to redeem thee, then I have redeemed thee — I; Jehovah liveth! lie down till the morning.'
೧೩ಈ ರಾತ್ರಿ ಇಲ್ಲೇ ಇರು; ನಾಳೆ ಅವನು ಮೈದುನಧರ್ಮವನ್ನು ನೆರವೇರಿಸಿದರೆ ಸರಿ; ಇಲ್ಲವಾದರೆ ಯೆಹೋವನಾಣೆ, ನಾನೇ ಅದನ್ನು ನೆರವೇರಿಸುವೆನು. ಬೆಳಗಾಗುವ ತನಕ ಇಲ್ಲೇ ಮಲಗಿಕೋ” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.
14 And she lieth down at his feet till the morning, and riseth before one doth discern another; and he saith, 'Let it not be known that the woman hath come into the floor.'
೧೪ಆಕೆಯು ಆ ವರೆಗೂ ಅವನ ಕಾಲುಗಳ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲೇ ಮಲಗಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದಳು. ಒಬ್ಬ ಹೆಂಗಸು ಕಣಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದಿದ್ದಳೆಂಬುವುದು ಯಾರಿಗೂ ಗೊತ್ತಾಗಬಾರದೆಂದು ಅವನು ಹೇಳಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ಗುರುತು ಹಿಡಿಯಲಾರದಷ್ಟು ಕತ್ತಲಿರುವಾಗಲೇ ಆಕೆಯು ಎದ್ದಳು.
15 And he saith, 'Give the covering which [is] on thee, and keep hold on it;' and she keepeth hold on it, and he measureth six [measures] of barley, and layeth [it] on her; and he goeth into the city.
೧೫ಆಗ ಅವನು ಆಕೆಗೆ “ನಿನ್ನ ಮೇಲ್ಹೊದಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಹಾಸು” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು, ಆಕೆ ಹಾಸಲು ಅದರಲ್ಲಿ ಆರು ಪಡಿ ಜವೆಗೋದಿಯನ್ನು ಹಾಕಿ ಹೊರಿಸಿ ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದನು. ಆಕೆಯು ಊರೊಳಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋದಳು.
16 And she cometh in unto her mother-in-law, and she saith, 'Who [art] thou, my daughter?' and she declareth to her all that the man hath done to her.
೧೬ಅತ್ತೆಯ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದಾಗ, ಅತ್ತೆಯು “ನನ್ನ ಮಗಳೇ, ನೀನು ಹೋಗಿದ್ದ ಕಾರ್ಯವೇನಾಯಿತು?” ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಲು ಆಕೆಯು ಆ ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ಮಾಡಿದ್ದೆಲ್ಲವನ್ನೂ ತಿಳಿಸಿ,
17 And she saith, 'These six [measures] of barley he hath given to me, for he said, Thou dost not go in empty unto thy mother-in-law.'
೧೭“‘ನೀನು ಬರಿಗೈಯಿಂದ ಅತ್ತೆಯ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಹೋಗಬಾರದೆಂದು’ ಹೇಳಿ ಈ ಆರು ಪಡಿ ಜವೆಗೋದಿಯನ್ನು ಕೊಟ್ಟನು” ಅಂದಳು.
18 And she saith, 'Sit still, my daughter, till thou dost know how the matter falleth, for the man doth not rest except he hath completed the matter to-day.'
೧೮ಅತ್ತೆಯು “ನನ್ನ ಮಗಳೇ, ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯವು ಏನಾಗುವುದೆಂದು ಗೊತ್ತಾಗುವವರೆಗೂ ಸುಮ್ಮನಿರು; ಈ ವಿಷಯವನ್ನು ಇತ್ಯರ್ಥ ಮಾಡುವವರೆಗೂ ಅವನಿಗೆ ಸಮಾಧಾನವಿರಲಾರದು” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದಳು.
