< Ruth 2 >
1 And Naomi hath an acquaintance of her husband's, a man mighty in wealth, of the family of Elimelech, and his name [is] Boaz.
Ɔbarima ɔdefo a na ɔyɛ okunini bi tenaa Betlehem a na wɔfrɛ no Boas. Na ɔyɛ Naomi kunu Elimelek busuani.
2 And Ruth the Moabitess saith unto Naomi, 'Let me go, I pray thee, into the field, and I gather among the ears of corn after him in whose eyes I find grace;' and she saith to her, 'Go, my daughter.'
Da koro bi, Rut, Moabni, ka kyerɛɛ Naomi se, “Ma menkɔ afuw mu na minkodi obiara a menya nʼanim anuonyam akyi nkɔboaboa atoko ase.” Na Naomi kae se, “Eye, me babea, kɔ.”
3 And she goeth and cometh and gathereth in a field after the reapers, and her chance happeneth — the portion of the field is Boaz's who [is] of the family of Elimelech.
Enti Rut kɔ kodii atwafo no akyi. Na nea ɛbae ne sɛ, ohuu sɛ ɔreyɛ adwuma wɔ Boas a ɔyɛ nʼase Elimelek busuani no afuw mu.
4 And lo, Boaz hath come from Beth-Lehem, and saith to the reapers, 'Jehovah [is] with you;' and they say to him, 'Jehovah doth bless thee.'
Bere a ɔwɔ hɔ no, Boas fi Betlehem bae. Okyiaa atwafo no se, “Awurade ne mo ntena!” Atwafo no gyee so se, “Awurade nhyira wo.”
5 And Boaz saith to his young man who is set over the reapers, 'Whose [is] this young person?'
Boas bisaa ne sohwɛfo no se, “Ababaa bɛn na ɔwɔ nohɔ hɔ no?”
6 And the young man who is set over the reapers answereth and saith, 'A young woman — Moabitess — she [is], who came back with Naomi from the fields of Moab,
Sohwɛfo no buae se, “Ɔyɛ ababaa bi a ofi Moab a ɔne Naomi bae.
7 and she saith, Let me glean, I pray thee — and I have gathered among the sheaves after the reapers; and she cometh and remaineth since the morning and till now; she sat in the house a little.
Anɔpa yi ara na obisaa me se, obetumi adi atwafo no akyi aboaboa atoko ano ana? Ɔyɛ nsiyɛfo a bere kakraa bi na ɔde homee wɔ pata no ase hɔ.”
8 And Boaz saith unto Ruth, 'Hast thou not heard, my daughter? go not to glean in another field, and also, pass not over from this, and thus thou dost cleave to my young women:
Boas kɔɔ hɔ kɔka kyerɛɛ Rut se, “Me babea tie. Wo ne yɛn ntena ha ara na boaboa atoko; nkɔ afuw foforo biara mu. Di mmea a wɔreyɛ adwuma wɔ mʼafuw yi mu no akyi pɛɛ.
9 thine eyes [are] on the field which they reap, and thou hast gone after them; have not I charged the young men not to touch thee? when thou art athirst then thou hast gone unto the vessels, and hast drunk from that which the young men draw.'
Hwɛ faako a wɔretwa wɔ afuw no mu na di wɔn akyi. Mabɔ mmerante no kɔkɔ sɛ wɔnnhaw wo. Na sɛ osukɔm de wo a, nom nsu a wɔakɔsaw afi abura no mu no bi.”
10 And she falleth on her face, and boweth herself to the earth, and saith unto him, 'Wherefore have I found grace in thine eyes, to discern me, and I a stranger?'
Rut butuwii, de nʼanim kyerɛɛ fam daa no ase. Na ɔkae se, “Adɛn nti na manya saa adom yi wɔ wʼani so, me a meyɛ ɔnanani yi?”
11 And Boaz answereth and saith to her, 'It hath thoroughly been declared to me all that thou hast done with thy mother-in-law, after the death of thy husband, and thou dost leave thy father, and thy mother, and the land of thy birth, and dost come in unto a people which thou hast not known heretofore.
Boas buae se, “Nea woayɛ ama wʼase efi wo kunu wu akyi nyinaa no, wɔaka akyerɛ me, sɛ wufii wʼagya ne wo na ne wo man mu na wo ne nnipa a wunnim wɔn wɔ baabiara bɛtenae no.
12 Jehovah doth recompense thy work, and thy reward is complete from Jehovah, God of Israel, under whose wings thou hast come to take refuge.'
Awurade, Israel Nyankopɔn a woanya guankɔbea wɔ ne ntaban ase no nnom wo.”
13 And she saith, 'Let me find grace in thine eyes, my lord, because thou hast comforted me, and because thou hast spoken unto the heart of thy maid-servant, and I — I am not as one of thy maid-servants.'
Na ɔno nso kae se, “Ma menkɔ so nnya wʼanim adom daa, me wura. Woama me awerɛkyekye na woakasa akyerɛ wʼafenaa ayamye so, me a mensɛ na memfata wo nnwumayɛfo no mu baako mpo no.”
14 And Boaz saith to her, 'At meal-time come nigh hither, and thou hast eaten of the bread, and dipped thy morsel in the vinegar.' And she sitteth at the side of the reapers, and he reacheth to her roasted corn, and she eateth, and is satisfied, and leaveth.
Eduu adidibere no, Boas frɛɛ no se, “Bra ma yennidi. Wutumi de wo brodo no bɔ nsa biara a wopɛ mu.” Enti ɔne nʼawitwafo no tenaa ase na Boas maa no aduan sen sɛnea obetumi adi mpo.
15 And she riseth to glean, and Boaz chargeth his young men, saying, 'Even between the sheaves she doth glean, and ye do not cause her to blush;
Bere a Rut san kɔɔ nʼadwuma so bio no, Boas ka kyerɛɛ ne mmerante no se, “Momma no mmoaboa atoko no ano mfi nʼafiafi no mu na munnsiw no kwan.
16 and also ye do surely cast to her of the handfuls — and have left, and she hath gleaned, and ye do not push against her.'
Na munyiyi afiafi no mu de no bi nnyae mu ngu fam mma no na ɔnsesaw, na monnhaw no.”
17 And she gleaneth in the field till the evening, and beateth out that which she hath gleaned, and it is about an ephah of barley;
Enti Rut sesaw atoko no wɔ hɔ da mu no nyinaa na ɔporow atoko no saa anwummere no, onyaa bɛyɛ lita aduonu abien.
18 and she taketh [it] up, and goeth into the city, and her mother-in-law seeth that which she hath gleaned, and she bringeth out and giveth to her that which she left from her satiety.
Ɔsoa de kɔɔ kurom, de kɔkyerɛɛ nʼase. Afei, Rut de nʼawiaduan a ogyaw no maa no.
19 And her mother-in-law saith to her, 'Where hast thou gleaned to-day? and where hast thou wrought? may he who is discerning thee be blessed.' And she declareth to her mother-in-law with whom she hath wrought, and saith, 'The name of the man with whom I have wrought to-day [is] Boaz.'
Naomi hui no, ɔteɛɛ mu se, “Ɛdɔɔso yiye! Na ɛhe na nnɛ woboaboaa saa atoko yi nyinaa ano fi? Ɛhe na wokɔyɛɛ adwuma? Awurade nhyira nea ɔboaa wo no!” Rut kaa ɔbarima a ɔyɛɛ adwuma wɔ nʼafum no ho asɛm kyerɛɛ nʼase no, ɔtoaa so kae se, “Nea meyɛɛ adwuma wɔ nʼafum no, wɔfrɛ no Boas.”
20 And Naomi saith to her daughter-in-law, 'Blessed [is] he of Jehovah who hath not forsaken His kindness with the living and with the dead;' and Naomi saith to her, 'The man is a relation of ours; he [is] of our redeemers.'
Naomi ka kyerɛɛ nʼase no se, “Awurade nhyira no. Ɔrekyerɛ yɛn ne wo kunu a wawu no nʼayamye. Saa ɔbarima no yɛ abusuafo a wɔbɛn yɛn pɛɛ no mu baako a ɔyɛ abusua no mu ogyefo baako.”
21 And Ruth the Moabitess saith, 'Also he surely said unto me, Near the young people whom I have thou dost cleave till they have completed the whole of the harvest which I have.'
Rut kae se, “Nea ɛka ho bio ne sɛ, mpo, Boas ka kyerɛɛ me se, mensan mmra na me ne nʼawitwafo no mmɛtena nkosi bere a wobewie otwa no.”
22 And Naomi saith unto Ruth her daughter-in-law, 'Good, my daughter, that thou goest out with his young women, and they come not against thee in another field.'
Naomi teɛɛ mu se, “Anwonwasɛm ni! Yɛ nea ɔka no. Wo ne nʼadwumayɛfo no ntena nkosi sɛ wobewie otwa no. Wʼasom bedwo wo wɔ hɔ sen afuw biara mu.”
23 And she cleaveth to the young women of Boaz to glean, till the completion of the barley-harvest, and of the wheat-harvest, and she dwelleth with her mother-in-law.
Enti Rut ne mmea a wɔwɔ Boas afum hɔ no yɛɛ adwuma. Ɔne wɔn boaboaa atoko no ano kosii atokotwa no awiei. Afei, ɔne wɔn twaa awi nso. Nanso saa bere no nyinaa na ɔne nʼase na ɛte.
