< Romans 3 >

1 What, then, [is] the superiority of the Jew? or what the profit of the circumcision?
Inoñe arè ty tombo’ ty maha Jiosy; he ino ty mahasoa o savatseo?
2 much in every way; for first, indeed, that they were intrusted with the oracles of God;
Toe jabajaba tok’aia’aia! Valoha’e, toe nafantoke am’iereo o fepèn’ Añahareo.
3 for what, if certain were faithless? shall their faithlessness the faithfulness of god make useless?
Hera tsy nahafiato ty ila’e? Hahamodo ty figahiñan’ Añahare hao ty tsy fatokisa’e?
4 let it not be! and let God become true, and every man false, according as it hath been written, 'That Thou mayest be declared righteous in Thy words, and mayest overcome in Thy being judged.'
Sondo’e! Ee abey te ho tendreke to t’i Andrianañahare ndra te kila mpandañitse ondatio, amy pinatetse ty hoe: Soa t’ie ho zoen-to amo tsara’oo vaho handreketse te mizaka.
5 And, if our unrighteousness God's righteousness doth establish, what shall we say? is God unrighteous who is inflicting the wrath? (after the manner of a man I speak)
Aa naho onjone’ ty hatsivokaran-tika ty hatòn’ Añahare, le akore ty hatao-tikañe? te tsy to hao t’i Andrianañahare t’ie mandafa? (manao reha’ ondaty rahoo).
6 let it not be! since how shall God judge the world?
Sondo’e ka! Naho nitò, akore ty hizakàn’ Añahare ty voatse toy?
7 for if the truth of God in my falsehood did more abound to His glory, why yet am I also as a sinner judged?
Aa naho ty vandeko ro mampionjoñe ty hatòn’ Añahare ho ami’ty enge’e, le inoñe ty amàrañe ahy ho mpanan-kakeo?
8 and not, as we are evil spoken of, and as certain affirm us to say — 'We may do the evil things, that the good ones may come?' whose judgment is righteous.
Aa vaho akore t’ie tsy manao ty hoe: (Amy fanambai­tambaiñañe anaiy, ie atao’ ty ila’e te enta’ay), Antao hanao raty hito­tsaha’ ty soa? To ty famàrañe iareo.
9 What, then? are we better? not at all! for we did before charge both Jews and Greeks with being all under sin,
Akore arè? Itika hao ro soa? Aiy! fa niventean-tika aniany te songa fehèn-kakeo ke te Jiosy he te Grika.
10 according as it hath been written — 'There is none righteous, not even one;
Fa pinatetse ty hoe: Tsy eo ty vañoñe, leo raike;
11 There is none who is understanding, there is none who is seeking after God.
tsy eo ty mahilala, tsy eo ty mipay an’ Andrianañahare.
12 All did go out of the way, together they became unprofitable, there is none doing good, there is not even one.
Fonga nandifike, songa tsy manjofake; tsy ia ty manao soa, leo raike.
13 A sepulchre opened [is] their throat; with their tongues they used deceit; poison of asps [is] under their lips.
Kibory misokake ty tretra’ iareo; mitolom-pamañahy ty famele’ iareo; Ambane soñi’ iareo ao ty vore’ o mereñeo.
14 Whose mouth is full of cursing and bitterness.
Lifotse fatse naho afero o falie’ iareoo.
15 Swift [are] their feet to shed blood.
Malisa te hampiori-dio ty fandia’ iareo;
16 Ruin and misery [are] in their ways.
fianto naho hasotriañe ro amo lala’ iareoo;
17 And a way of peace they did not know.
vaho alik’am’ iereo ty lalam-panintsiñañe.
18 There is no fear of God before their eyes.'
Tsy aolom-pihaino’ iareo ty fañeve­ñañe aman’ Añahare.
19 And we have known that as many things as the law saith, to those in the law it doth speak, that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may come under judgment to God;
Fohintika te ze tsarae’ i Hake ro tsarae’e amy ze ambane’ Hake, hampihomboñe ze kila falie, vaho fonga hampivolilieñe aman’ Añahare ty voatse toy;
20 wherefore by works of law shall no flesh be declared righteous before Him, for through law is a knowledge of sin.
fa tsy ama’ nofotse veloñe ty hahazo to ampivazohoa’e ami’ty fimanemanea’e Hake; amy te fampandrendrehan-kakeo ty Hake.
21 And now apart from law hath the righteousness of God been manifested, testified to by the law and the prophets,
Ie henaneo, fa nadodea alafe’ i Hake ty havantañan’ Añahare, ie taroñe’ ty Hake naho o Mpitokio
22 and the righteousness of God [is] through the faith of Jesus Christ to all, and upon all those believing, — for there is no difference,
naho boak’ aman’ Añahare añamy figahiña’ Iesoà Norizañey ty havantañañe, ho amo hene mitam-patokisañeo, le tsy iambakambàhañe;
23 for all did sin, and are come short of the glory of God —
toe fonga nanao hakeo naho milesa ami’ty engen’ Añahare,
24 being declared righteous freely by His grace through the redemption that [is] in Christ Jesus,
f’ie nampivantañeñe tsi-ambili’e amy fatariha’e añamy fijebañañe amy Iesoà Norizañeiy,
25 whom God did set forth a mercy seat, through the faith in his blood, for the shewing forth of His righteousness, because of the passing over of the bygone sins in the forbearance of God —
i sinafirin’ Añahare ho takom-boiñe añamy fiatoañe an-dio’ey, hampiboake ty havantaña’e, fa am-pahaliñisa’e ty nirirañen’ Añahare o hakeo taoloo,
26 for the shewing forth of His righteousness in the present time, for His being righteous, and declaring him righteous who [is] of the faith of Jesus.
hampidodeà’e amo sa zao ty havantaña’e, t’ie i Vantañey naho ty figahiña’ Iesoà ro fañavantañañe ondaty.
27 Where then [is] the boasting? it was excluded; by what law? of works? no, but by a law of faith:
Aia arè ty firengeañe? Napoke añe. Ami’ty Hake manao akore? He am-pimanemaneañe? Aiy avao, fa amy Hake miato-patokisañey.
28 therefore do we reckon a man to be declared righteous by faith, apart from works of law.
Aa le agadon-tika te vantañe’ i fatokisa’ey t’indaty fa tsy am-pimanemanea’e Hake.
29 The God of Jews only [is He], and not also of nations?
Aa vaho Andrianañahare’ o Jiosio avao hao re? Tsy a’ o fokontokoñeo ka hao? Eka, toe a o fokontokoñeo ka.
30 yes, also of nations; since one [is] God who shall declare righteous the circumcision by faith, and the uncircumcision through the faith.
Inao, Raike t’i Andrianañahare, le fatokisañe ty añavantaña’e o sinavatseo naho fatokisañe ka o tsy sinavatseo.
31 Law then do we make useless through the faith? let it not be! yea, we do establish law.
Hera faohen-tika am-patokisañe t’i Hake. Aiy, sondo’e! te mone ajadon-tikañe t’i Hake.
