Psalms 97
1 Jehovah hath reigned, The earth is joyful, many isles rejoice.
O Senhor reina; regozije-se a terra: alegrem-se as muitas ilhas.
2 Cloud and darkness [are] round about Him, Righteousness and judgment the basis of His throne.
Nuvens e obscuridade estão ao redor d'elle: justiça e juizo são a base do seu throno.
3 Fire before Him goeth, And burneth round about His adversaries.
Um fogo vae adiante d'elle, e abraza os seus inimigos em redor.
4 Lightened have His lightnings the world, The earth hath seen, and is pained.
Os seus relampagos alumiam o mundo; a terra viu e tremeu.
5 Hills, like wax, melted before Jehovah, Before the Lord of all the earth.
Os montes se derretem como cera na presença do Senhor, na presença do Senhor de toda a terra.
6 The heavens declared His righteousness, And all the peoples have seen His honour.
Os céus annunciam a sua justiça, e todos os povos vêem a sua gloria.
7 Ashamed are all servants of a graven image, Those boasting themselves in idols, Bow yourselves to him, all ye gods.
Confundidos sejam todos os que servem imagens de esculptura, que se gloriam de idolos: prostrae-vos diante d'elle, todos os deuses.
8 Zion hath heard and rejoiceth, And daughters of Judah are joyful, Because of Thy judgments, O Jehovah.
Sião ouviu e se alegrou; e os filhos de Judah se alegraram por causa da tua justiça, ó Senhor.
9 For Thou, Jehovah, [art] Most High over all the earth, Greatly Thou hast been exalted over all gods.
Pois tu, Senhor, és o mais alto sobre toda a terra; tu és muito mais exaltado do que todos os deuses.
10 Ye who love Jehovah, hate evil, He is keeping the souls of His saints, From the hand of the wicked he delivereth them.
Vós, que amaes ao Senhor, aborrecei o mal: elle guarda as almas dos seus sanctos, elle os livra das mãos dos impios.
11 Light [is] sown for the righteous, And for the upright of heart — joy.
A luz semeia-se para o justo, e a alegria para os rectos de coração.
12 Rejoice, ye righteous, in Jehovah, And give thanks at the remembrance of his holiness!
Alegrae-vos, ó justos, no Senhor, e dae louvores á memoria da sua sanctidade.
