Psalms 89
1 An instruction, by Ethan the Ezrahite. Of the kind acts of Jehovah, to the age I sing, To all generations I make known Thy faithfulness with my mouth,
Ndakatulo ya Etani, wa banja la Ezara. Ndidzayimba za chikondi chachikulu cha Yehova kwamuyaya; ndi pakamwa panga ndidzachititsa kuti kukhulupirika kwanu kudziwike ku mibado yonse.
2 For I said, 'To the age is kindness built, The heavens! Thou dost establish Thy faithfulness in them.'
Ndidzalalikira kuti chikondi chanu chidzakhazikika mpaka muyaya, kuti Inu munakhazikitsa kukhulupirika kwanu kumwamba kwenikweniko.
3 I have made a covenant for My chosen, I have sworn to David My servant:
Inu munati, “Ndachita pangano ndi wosankhidwa wanga, ndalumbira kwa Davide mtumiki wanga kuti,
4 'Even to the age do I establish thy seed, And have built to generation and generation thy throne. (Selah)
‘Ndidzakhazikitsa zidzukulu zako mpaka muyaya. Ndidzachititsa kuti mpando wako waufumu ukhazikike ku mibado yonse,’” (Sela)
5 and the heavens confess Thy wonders, O Jehovah, Thy faithfulness also [is] in an assembly of holy ones.
Mayiko akumwamba amatamanda zozizwitsa zanu Yehova, kukhulupirika kwanunso, mu msonkhano wa oyera mtima anu.
6 For who in the sky, Compareth himself to Jehovah? Is like to Jehovah among sons of the mighty?
Pakuti ndani mu mlengalenga angalingane ndi Yehova? Ndani wofanana ndi Yehova pakati pa zolengedwa zakumwamba?
7 God is very terrible, In the secret counsel of His holy ones, And fearful over all surrounding Him.
Mu msonkhano wa oyera mtima Mulungu amaopedwa kwambiri; Iye ndiye wochititsa mantha kupambana onse amene amuzungulira.
8 O Jehovah, God of Hosts, Who [is] like Thee — a strong Jah? And Thy faithfulness [is] round about Thee.
Inu Yehova Mulungu Wamphamvuzonse, ndani wofanana nanu? Yehova ndinu wamphamvu ndipo kukhulupirika kwanu kwakuzungulirani.
9 Thou [art] ruler over the pride of the sea, In the lifting up of its billows Thou dost restrain them.
Mumalamula nyanja ya mafunde awukali; pamene mafunde ake awundana Inu mumawakhalitsa bata.
10 Thou hast bruised Rahab, as one wounded. With the arm of Thy strength Thou hast scattered Thine enemies.
Munaphwanya Rahabe monga munthu wophedwa; ndi dzanja lanu lamphamvu munabalalitsa adani anu.
11 Thine [are] the heavens — the earth also [is] Thine, The habitable world and its fulness, Thou hast founded them.
Mayiko akumwamba ndi anu ndiponso dziko lapansi ndi lanu; munapanga dziko lonse ndi zonse zili mʼmenemo.
12 North and south Thou hast appointed them, Tabor and Hermon in Thy name do sing.
Munalenga Kumpoto ndi Kummwera; Tabori ndi Herimoni akuyimba ndi chimwemwe pa dzina lanu.
13 Thou hast an arm with might, Strong is Thy hand — high Thy right hand.
Mkono wanu ndi wamphamvu; dzanja lanu ndi lamphamvu, dzanja lanu lamanja ndi lopambana.
14 Righteousness and judgment [Are] the fixed place of Thy throne, Kindness and truth go before Thy face.
Chilungamo ndi chiweruzo cholungama ndiye maziko a mpando wanu waufumu; chikondi ndi kukhulupirika zimayenda patsogolo panu.
15 O the happiness of the people knowing the shout, O Jehovah, in the light of Thy face they walk habitually.
Ndi odala amene aphunzira kuyamika Inu, amene amayenda mʼkuwunika kwa nkhope yanu Yehova.
16 In Thy name they rejoice all the day, And in Thy righteousness they are exalted,
Amakondwera mʼdzina lanu tsiku lonse lathunthu; amasangalala koposa mʼchilungamo chanu.
17 For the beauty of their strength [art] Thou, And in Thy good will is our horn exalted,
Pakuti Inu ndiye ulemerero wawo ndi mphamvu yawo ndipo mwa kukoma mtima kwanu Inu mumakweza nyanga yathu.
18 For of Jehovah [is] our shield, And of the Holy One of Israel our king.
Ndithudi, chishango chathu ndi cha Yehova, Mfumu yathu kwa Woyerayo wa Israeli.
19 Then Thou hast spoken in vision, To Thy saint, yea, Thou sayest, I have placed help upon a mighty one, Exalted a chosen one out of the people,
Kale munayankhula mʼmasomphenya, kwa anthu anu okhulupirika munati, “Ndapatsa mphamvu wankhondo; ndakweza mnyamata wochokera pakati pa anthu.
20 I have found David My servant, With My holy oil I have anointed him.
Ndamupeza mtumiki wanga Davide; ndamudzoza ndi mafuta opatulika.
21 With whom My hand is established, My arm also doth strengthen him.
Dzanja langa lidzamuchirikiza; zoonadi, mkono wanga udzamupatsa mphamvu.
22 An enemy exacteth not upon him, And a son of perverseness afflicteth him not.
Adani sadzamulamula kuti apereke msonkho; anthu oyipa sadzamusautsa.
23 And I have beaten down before him his adversaries, And those hating him I plague,
Ndidzaphwanya adani ake pamaso pake ndi kukantha otsutsana naye.
24 And My faithfulness and kindness [are] with him, And in My name is his horn exalted.
Chikondi changa chokhulupirika chidzakhala naye, ndipo kudzera mʼdzina langa nyanga yake idzakwezedwa.
25 And I have set on the sea his hand, And on the rivers his right hand.
Ndidzayika dzanja lake pa nyanja, dzanja lake lamanja pa mitsinje.
26 He proclaimeth me: 'Thou [art] my Father, My God, and the rock of my salvation.'
Iyeyo adzafuwula kwa Ine kuti, ‘Ndinu Atate anga, Mulungu wanga, Thanthwe ndi Chipulumutso changa.’
27 I also first-born do appoint him, Highest of the kings of the earth.
Ndidzamuyika kuti akhale mwana wanga woyamba kubadwa; wokwezedwa kwambiri pakati pa mafumu a dziko lapansi.
28 To the age I keep for him My kindness, And My covenant [is] stedfast with him.
Ndidzamusungira chifundo changa kwamuyaya, ndipo pangano langa ndi iye silidzatha.
29 And I have set his seed for ever, And his throne as the days of the heavens.
Ine ndidzakhazikitsa zidzukulu zake mpaka muyaya, mpando wake waufumu ngati masiku a miyamba.
30 If his sons forsake My law, And in My judgments do not walk;
“Ngati ana ake adzataya lamulo langa ndi kusatsatira malangizo anga,
31 If My statutes they pollute, And My commands do not keep,
ngati adzaswa malamulo anga ndi kulephera kusunga ziphunzitso zanga,
32 I have looked after with a rod their transgression, And with strokes their iniquity,
Ine ndidzalanga tchimo lawo ndi ndodo, mphulupulu zawo powakwapula.
33 And My kindness I break not from him, Nor do I deal falsely in My faithfulness.
Koma sindidzachotsa chikondi changa pa iye, kapena kukhala wosakhulupirika kwa iyeyo.
34 I profane not My covenant, And that which is going forth from My lips I change not.
Sindidzaswa pangano langa kapena kusintha zimene milomo yanga yayankhula.
35 Once I have sworn by My holiness, I lie not to David,
Ndinalumbira kamodzi mwa kuyera kwanga ndipo sindidzanama kwa Davide,
36 His seed is to the age, And his throne [is] as the sun before Me,
kuti zidzukulu zake zidzakhale kwamuyaya ndipo mpando wake waufumu udzakhazikika pamaso panga ngati dzuwa;
37 As the moon it is established — to the age, And the witness in the sky is stedfast. (Selah)
udzakhazikika kwamuyaya monga mwezi, mboni yokhulupirika mʼmitambo. (Sela)
38 And Thou, Thou hast cast off, and dost reject, Thou hast shown Thyself wroth With Thine anointed,
“Koma tsopano Inu mwamukana, mwamutaya, mwamukwiyira kwambiri wodzozedwa wanu.
39 Hast rejected the covenant of Thy servant, Thou hast polluted to the earth his crown,
Mwakana pangano ndi mtumiki wanu ndipo mwadetsa mʼfumbi chipewa chake chaufumu.
40 Thou hast broken down all his hedges, Thou hast made his fenced places a ruin.
Inu mwagumula makoma ake onse ndipo mwasandutsa bwinja malinga ake.
41 Spoiled him have all passing by the way, He hath been a reproach to his neighbours,
Onse amene amadutsa amalanda zinthu zake; iye wakhala chotonzedwa cha anansi ake.
42 Thou hast exalted the right hand of his adversaries, Thou hast caused all his enemies to rejoice.
Mwakweza dzanja lamanja la adani ake; mwachititsa kuti adani ake akondwere.
43 Also — Thou turnest back the sharpness of his sword, And hast not established him in battle,
Mwabunthitsa lupanga lake, simunamuthandize pa nkhondo.
44 Hast caused [him] to cease from his brightness, And his throne to the earth hast cast down.
Inu mwathetsa kukongola kwa ulemerero wake ndipo mwagwetsa pansi mpando wake waufumu.
45 Thou hast shortened the days of his youth, Hast covered him over [with] shame. (Selah)
Mwachepetsa masiku a unyamata wake; mwamuphimba ndi chofunda chochititsa manyazi. (Sela)
46 Till when, O Jehovah, art Thou hidden? For ever doth Thy fury burn as fire?
“Mpaka liti Yehova? Kodi mudzadzibisa mpaka kalekale? Mpaka liti ukali wanu udzayaka ngati moto?
47 Remember, I pray Thee, what [is] life-time? Wherefore in vain hast Thou created All the sons of men?
Kumbukirani kuti masiku a moyo wanga ndi ochepa pakuti munalenga kwachabe anthu onse!
48 Who [is] the man that liveth, and doth not see death? He delivereth his soul from the hand of Sheol. (Selah) (Sheol h7585)
Kodi ndi munthu uti angakhale ndi moyo ndi kusaona imfa? Kapena kudzipulumutsa yekha ku mphamvu ya manda? (Sela) (Sheol h7585)
49 Where [are] Thy former kindnesses, O Lord. Thou hast sworn to David in Thy faithfulness,
Inu Ambuye kodi chili kuti chikondi chanu chachikulu choyamba chija, chimene mwa kukhulupirika kwanu munalumbira kwa Davide?
50 Remember, O Lord, the reproach of Thy servants, I have borne in my bosom all the strivings of the peoples,
Kumbukirani, Ambuye momwe mtumiki wanu wanyozedwera, momwe ndakhalira ndi kusunga mu mtima mwanga mawu a pangano a anthu a mitundu yonse,
51 Wherewith Thine enemies reproached, O Jehovah, Wherewith they have reproached The steps of Thine anointed.
mawu achipongwe amene adani anu akhala akunyoza, Inu Yehova, ndi mawu amene akhala akunyoza mayendedwe onse a wodzozedwa wanu.
52 Blessed [is] Jehovah to the age. Amen, and amen!
“Matamando akhale kwa Yehova mpaka muyaya!”
