< Psalms 86 >

1 A Prayer of David. Incline, O Jehovah, Thine ear, Answer me, for I [am] poor and needy.
Ko e Lotu ʻa Tevita. ‌ʻE Sihova, ke ke fofonga mai, ʻo fanongo kiate au: he ʻoku ou masiva mo mamahi.
2 Keep my soul, for I [am] pious, Save Thy servant — who is trusting to Thee, O Thou, my God.
Fakamoʻui hoku laumālie; he ʻoku ou māʻoniʻoni: ʻa koe ko hoku ʻOtua, fakamoʻui hoʻo tamaioʻeiki ʻaia ʻoku falala kiate koe.
3 Favour me, O Lord, for to Thee I call all the day.
‌ʻE ʻEiki, ke ke ʻaloʻofa kiate au: he ʻoku ou tangi kiate koe ʻi he ʻaho kotoa pē.
4 Rejoice the soul of Thy servant, For unto Thee, O Lord, my soul I lift up.
‌ʻE ʻEiki, fakafiefiaʻi ʻae laumālie ʻo hoʻo tamaioʻeiki: he ʻoku ou hiki hake hoku laumālie kiate koe.
5 For Thou, Lord, [art] good and forgiving. And abundant in kindness to all calling Thee.
He ko koe, ʻE ʻEiki ʻoku ke angalelei, pea faʻa fakamolemole; pea mohu ʻaloʻofa kiate kinautolu kotoa pē ʻoku ui kiate koe.
6 Hear, O Jehovah, my prayer, And attend to the voice of my supplications.
Fanongo, ʻE Sihova, ki heʻeku lotu pea tokanga ki he leʻo ʻo ʻeku ngaahi lotu tāumaʻu.
7 In a day of my distress I call Thee, For Thou dost answer me.
‌ʻI he ʻaho ʻo ʻeku mamahi te u ui kiate koe; he te ke talia au.
8 There is none like Thee among the gods, O Lord, And like Thy works there are none.
‌ʻE ʻEiki, ʻoku ʻikai ha tokotaha ʻi he ngaahi ʻotua ʻoku tatau mo koe; pea ʻoku ʻikai ha ngāue ʻe hangē ko hoʻo ngaahi ngāue.
9 All nations that Thou hast made Come and bow themselves before Thee, O Lord, And give honour to Thy name.
‌ʻE ʻEiki, ʻe haʻu ʻo hū ʻi ho ʻao ʻae ngaahi puleʻanga kotoa pē naʻa ke ngaohi; pea tenau fakaongoongoleleiʻi ho huafa.
10 For great [art] Thou, and doing wonders, Thou [art] God Thyself alone.
He ʻoku ke lahi, pea ʻoku ke fai ʻae ngaahi meʻa mana: ko koe pē ko e ʻOtua.
11 Show me, O Jehovah, Thy way, I walk in Thy truth, My heart doth rejoice to fear Thy name.
‌ʻE Sihova, ako kiate au ho hala; te u ʻeveʻeva ʻi hoʻo moʻoni: ngaohi ke taha pē hoku loto ke manavahē ki ho huafa.
12 I confess Thee, O Lord my God, with all my heart, And I honour Thy name to the age.
‌ʻE ʻEiki ko hoku ʻOtua, te u fakafetaʻi kiate koe ʻaki hoku loto kotoa: pea te u fakaongoongolelei ho huafa ʻo taʻengata.
13 For Thy kindness [is] great toward me, And Thou hast delivered my soul from the lowest Sheol. (Sheol h7585)
He ʻoku lahi hoʻo ʻaloʻofa kiate au: pea kuo ke fakamoʻui hoku laumālie mei he loto heli. (Sheol h7585)
14 O God, the proud have risen up against me, And a company of the terrible sought my soul, And have not placed Thee before them,
‌ʻE ʻOtua, kuo tuʻu hake kiate au ʻae kau fielahi, pea naʻe kumi hoku laumālie ʻe he ngaahi fakataha ʻoe kau fakamālohi; pea ʻoku ʻikai tenau fokotuʻu ʻa hoʻo ʻafio ʻi honau ʻao.
15 And Thou, O Lord, [art] God, merciful and gracious, Slow to anger, and abundant in kindness and truth.
Ka ko koe, ʻE ʻEiki, ko e ʻOtua ʻoku fonu ʻi he manavaʻofa, mo e angalelei, ʻoku ke kātaki fuoloa, pea mohu ʻaloʻofa mo e moʻoni.
16 Look unto me, and favour me, Give Thy strength to Thy servant, And give salvation to a son of Thine handmaid.
Ke ke tafoki mai kiate au, pea ʻaloʻofa kiate au; foaki ho mālohi ki hoʻo tamaioʻeiki, pea fakamoʻui ʻae tama ʻa hoʻo kaunanga.
17 Do with me a sign for good, And those hating me see and are ashamed, For Thou, O Jehovah, hast helped me, Yea, Thou hast comforted me!
Fakahā kiate au ʻae fakaʻilonga ʻoe lelei; koeʻuhi ke mamata ki ai ʻakinautolu ʻoku fehiʻa kiate au, pea mā ai: koeʻuhi kuo ke tokoniʻi au, ʻE Sihova, ʻo fakafiemālieʻi au.
