Psalms 86

1 A Prayer of David. Incline, O Jehovah, Thine ear, Answer me, for I [am] poor and needy.

Una oración de David. Escucha, Yahvé, y respóndeme, porque soy pobre y necesitado.

2 Keep my soul, for I [am] pious, Save Thy servant — who is trusting to Thee, O Thou, my God.

Preserva mi alma, porque soy piadoso. Tú, Dios mío, salvas a tu siervo que confía en ti.

3 Favour me, O Lord, for to Thee I call all the day.

Ten piedad de mí, Señor, porque te llamo todo el día.

4 Rejoice the soul of Thy servant, For unto Thee, O Lord, my soul I lift up.

Alegra el alma de tu siervo, porque a ti, Señor, elevo mi alma.

5 For Thou, Lord, [art] good and forgiving. And abundant in kindness to all calling Thee.

Porque tú, Señor, eres bueno y estás dispuesto a perdonar, abundante en bondad amorosa para todos los que te invocan.

6 Hear, O Jehovah, my prayer, And attend to the voice of my supplications.

Escucha, Yahvé, mi oración. Escucha la voz de mis peticiones.

7 In a day of my distress I call Thee, For Thou dost answer me.

En el día de mi angustia te invocaré, porque tú me responderás.

8 There is none like Thee among the gods, O Lord, And like Thy works there are none.

No hay nadie como tú entre los dioses, Señor, ni ninguna obra como las tuyas.

9 All nations that Thou hast made Come and bow themselves before Thee, O Lord, And give honour to Thy name.

Todas las naciones que has hecho vendrán a adorar ante ti, Señor. Ellos glorificarán tu nombre.

10 For great [art] Thou, and doing wonders, Thou [art] God Thyself alone.

Porque eres grande y haces cosas maravillosas. Sólo tú eres Dios.

11 Show me, O Jehovah, Thy way, I walk in Thy truth, My heart doth rejoice to fear Thy name.

Enséñame tu camino, Yahvé. Caminaré en tu verdad. Haz que mi corazón sea indiviso para temer tu nombre.

12 I confess Thee, O Lord my God, with all my heart, And I honour Thy name to the age.

Te alabaré, Señor mi Dios, con todo mi corazón. Glorificaré tu nombre para siempre.

13 For Thy kindness [is] great toward me, And Thou hast delivered my soul from the lowest Sheol. (Sheol h7585)

Porque tu bondad es grande para conmigo. Has liberado mi alma del más bajo Seol. (Sheol h7585)

14 O God, the proud have risen up against me, And a company of the terrible sought my soul, And have not placed Thee before them,

Dios, los soberbios se han levantado contra mí. Una compañía de hombres violentos ha buscado mi alma, y no te tienen en cuenta ante ellos.

15 And Thou, O Lord, [art] God, merciful and gracious, Slow to anger, and abundant in kindness and truth.

Pero tú, Señor, eres un Dios misericordioso y bondadoso, lento para la ira, y abundante en bondad y verdad.

16 Look unto me, and favour me, Give Thy strength to Thy servant, And give salvation to a son of Thine handmaid.

¡Vuelve a mí y ten piedad de mí! Da tu fuerza a tu siervo. Salva al hijo de tu siervo.

17 Do with me a sign for good, And those hating me see and are ashamed, For Thou, O Jehovah, hast helped me, Yea, Thou hast comforted me!

Muéstrame una señal de tu bondad, para que los que me odian lo vean y se avergüencen, porque tú, Yahvé, me has ayudado y me has consolado.
