Psalms 86

1 A Prayer of David. Incline, O Jehovah, Thine ear, Answer me, for I [am] poor and needy.

Molitev Davidova: Nagni, Gospod, uho svoje; usliši me, ker siromak sem in ubožen.

2 Keep my soul, for I [am] pious, Save Thy servant — who is trusting to Thee, O Thou, my God.

Reši dušo mojo, ker tisti sem, kateremu deliš milost; reši hlapca svojega, ti Bog moj, ko imam zaupanje v tebe.

3 Favour me, O Lord, for to Thee I call all the day.

Milost mi izkaži, Gospod; ker kličem te ves dan.

4 Rejoice the soul of Thy servant, For unto Thee, O Lord, my soul I lift up.

Razveseli dušo svojega hlapca; ker do tebe, Gospod, povzdigujem dušo svojo.

5 For Thou, Lord, [art] good and forgiving. And abundant in kindness to all calling Thee.

Ti namreč, Gospod, si dober in prizanašaš, in obilen v milosti vsem, ki te kličejo.

6 Hear, O Jehovah, my prayer, And attend to the voice of my supplications.

Čuj molitev mojo, Gospod; in poslušaj prošenj mojih glas.

7 In a day of my distress I call Thee, For Thou dost answer me.

O času stiske svoje te kličem, ker uslišuješ me.

8 There is none like Thee among the gods, O Lord, And like Thy works there are none.

Ni ti enakega med vsemi bogovi, o Gospod; in dél ni tvojim enakih.

9 All nations that Thou hast made Come and bow themselves before Thee, O Lord, And give honour to Thy name.

Vsi narodi, katerim jih deliš, prihajajočim, klanjajo se pred teboj, in čast dajó tvojemu imenu.

10 For great [art] Thou, and doing wonders, Thou [art] God Thyself alone.

Ker velik si in čudovit, ti sam si Bog.

11 Show me, O Jehovah, Thy way, I walk in Thy truth, My heart doth rejoice to fear Thy name.

Uči me, Gospod, pot svoj; hodim naj dalje v resnici tvoji; zberi srce moje, da se boji tvojega imena.

12 I confess Thee, O Lord my God, with all my heart, And I honour Thy name to the age.

Slavil te bodem, Gospod Bog moj, iz vsega svojega srca; in čestil bodem imé tvoje vekomaj.

13 For Thy kindness [is] great toward me, And Thou hast delivered my soul from the lowest Sheol. (Sheol h7585)

Ker velika je milost tvoja do mene, in rešil si dušo mojo iz spodnjega groba. (Sheol h7585)

14 O God, the proud have risen up against me, And a company of the terrible sought my soul, And have not placed Thee before them,

O Bog, prevzetniki se spenjajo zoper mene, in silovitnikov krdela iščejo življenja mojega, ker te nimajo pred očmi.

15 And Thou, O Lord, [art] God, merciful and gracious, Slow to anger, and abundant in kindness and truth.

Ti pa, Gospod, Bog mogočni, usmiljen si in milosten; potrpežljiv in obilen v milosti in zvestobi.

16 Look unto me, and favour me, Give Thy strength to Thy servant, And give salvation to a son of Thine handmaid.

Ozri se v mé, in milost mi stórí; daj moč svojo hlapcu svojemu, in reši dekle svoje sina.

17 Do with me a sign for good, And those hating me see and are ashamed, For Thou, O Jehovah, hast helped me, Yea, Thou hast comforted me!

Stóri znamenje nad menoj v dóbro; da naj vidijo sovražniki moji in se sè sramoto oblijó, ko mi bodeš ti, Gospod, pomagal, in potolažil me.
