< Psalms 83 >
1 A Song, — A Psalm of Asaph. O God, let there be no silence to Thee, Be not silent, nor be quiet, O God.
Thaburi ya Asafu Wee Ngai-rĩ, ndũgakire; tiga gũikara ũtumĩtie, Wee Mũrungu, ndũgaikare wĩnyiitanĩirie.
2 For, lo, Thine enemies do roar, And those hating Thee have lifted up the head,
Ta rora wone ũrĩa thũ ciaku iranegena, acio magũthũire makambararia mĩtwe yao.
3 Against Thy people they take crafty counsel, And consult against Thy hidden ones.
Mathugundaga ndundu ya gũũkĩrĩra andũ aku na wara; maciiragĩrĩra gũũkĩrĩra andũ arĩa wendete.
4 They have said, 'Come, And we cut them off from [being] a nation, And the name of Israel is not remembered any more.'
Meranaga atĩrĩ, “Ũkai, tũmaniine matige gũtuĩka rũrĩrĩ, nĩguo rĩĩtwa rĩa Isiraeli rĩtikanacooke kũririkanwo rĩngĩ.”
5 For they consulted in heart together, Against Thee a covenant they make,
Maciiraga marĩ na ngoro ĩmwe; maiguithanagĩria magũũkĩrĩre:
6 Tents of Edom, and Ishmaelites, Moab, and the Hagarenes,
andũ a hema cia Edomu, na cia Aishumaeli, na cia Moabi, na cia Ahagari,
7 Gebal, and Ammon, and Amalek, Philistia with inhabitants of Tyre,
na cia Gebali, na cia Amoni, na cia Amaleki, na cia Filistia, hamwe na andũ a Turo.
8 Asshur also is joined with them, They have been an arm to sons of Lot. (Selah)
O na Ashuri nĩmegwatanĩtie nao nĩguo mateithĩrĩrie njiaro cia Loti.
9 Do to them as [to] Midian, As [to] Sisera, as [to] Jabin, at the stream Kishon.
Meeke o ta ũrĩa wekire Amidiani, na o ta ũrĩa wekire Sisera na Jabini rũũĩ-inĩ rwa Kishoni,
10 They were destroyed at Endor, They were dung for the ground!
o acio maaniinĩirwo Enidoru, na magĩtuĩka ta thumu wa kũnoria tĩĩri.
11 Make their nobles as Oreb and as Zeeb, And as Zebah and Zalmunna all their princes,
Tũma andũ ao arĩa marĩ igweta mahaane ta Orebu na Zeebu, anene ao othe ũmahaananie na Zeba na Zalimuna,
12 Who have said, 'Let us occupy for ourselves The comely places of God.'
arĩa moigire atĩrĩ, “Nĩtwĩgwatĩrei bũrũri wa ũrĩithio wa Ngai ũtuĩke witũ.”
13 O my God, make them as a rolling thing, As stubble before wind.
Wee Ngai wakwa, matue ta rũkũngũ rũrĩa rũgũrũkagio, mahaane o ta mũũngũ ũmbũrĩtwo nĩ rũhuho.
14 As a fire doth burn a forest, And as a flame setteth hills on fire,
O ta ũrĩa mwaki ũcinaga mũtitũ kana ta rũrĩrĩmbĩ rũgĩcina irĩma-rĩ,
15 So dost Thou pursue them with Thy whirlwind, And with Thy hurricane troublest them.
maingatithie o ro ũguo na kĩhuhũkanio gĩaku, na ũmamakie mũno na huho ciaku nene.
16 Fill their faces [with] shame, And they seek Thy name, O Jehovah.
Humba mothiũ mao thoni, nĩgeetha andũ marongorie rĩĩtwa rĩaku, Wee Jehova.
17 They are ashamed and troubled for ever, Yea, they are confounded and lost.
Marotũũra maconokete na marĩ amaku; marokua na gĩconoko kĩnene.
18 And they know that Thou — (Thy name [is] Jehovah — by Thyself, ) [Art] the Most High over all the earth!
Tũma mamenye atĩ Wee, o Wee wĩtagwo Jehova, atĩ Wee nĩwe Ũrĩa-ũrĩ-Igũrũ-Mũno, o igũrũ rĩa thĩ yothe.
