Psalms 82

1 — A Psalm of Asaph. God hath stood in the company of God, In the midst God doth judge.

Un salmo de Asaf. Dios permanece en medio de su gran asamblea para juzgar a los que juzgan.

2 Till when do ye judge perversely? And the face of the wicked lift up? (Selah)

¿Hasta cuándo juzgarán injustamente y mostrarán favoritismo hacia los malvados? (Selah)

3 Judge ye the weak and fatherless, The afflicted and the poor declare righteous.

Defiendan a los pobres y a los huérfanos; apoyen los derechos de los que son oprimidos y están sufriendo.

4 Let the weak and needy escape, From the hand of the wicked deliver them.

Rescaten al pobre y a aquellos que no pueden ayudarse a sí mismos; sálvenlos de las garras de los malvados.

5 They knew not, nor do they understand, In darkness they walk habitually, Moved are all the foundations of earth.

Estos jueces no tienen nada de sabiduría; viven en la oscuridad; los cimientos de la tierra son sacudidos.

6 I — I have said, 'Gods ye [are], And sons of the Most High — all of you,

Yo digo, “Ustedes son jueces; todos ustedes son hijos del Altísimo.

7 But as man ye die, and as one of the heads ye fall,

Pero morirán como cualquier ser humano, caerán como cualquier otro líder”.

8 Rise, O God, judge the earth, For Thou hast inheritance among all the nations!

Levántate, Señor, y juzga la tierra, porque todas las naciones te pertenecen a ti.
