< Psalms 79 >
1 A Psalm of Asaph. O God, nations have come into Thy inheritance, They have defiled Thy holy temple, They made Jerusalem become heaps,
Abụ Ọma Asaf. O Chineke, mba dị iche iche abatala nʼihe nketa gị; ha emerụọla ụlọnsọ ukwuu gị, ha etikpọọla Jerusalem, mee ka ọ tọgbọrọ nʼefu.
2 They gave the dead bodies of Thy servants Food for the fowls of the heavens, The flesh of Thy saints For the wild beast of the earth.
Ha ewerela ozu ndị ohu gị nye anụ ufe niile nke eluigwe ka ọ bụrụ ihe oriri nye ha, werekwa ozu nke ndị nsọ gị nye anụ ọhịa niile nke ụwa.
3 They have shed their blood As water round about Jerusalem, And there is none burying.
Ha awụpụla ọbara dịka mmiri nʼakụkụ niile nke Jerusalem, ọ dịghị otu onye fọdụrụ nke ga-eli ndị nwụrụ anwụ.
4 We have been a reproach to our neighbours, A scorn and a derision to our surrounders.
Anyị aghọọla ihe ịta ụta nʼebe ndị agbataobi anyị nọ, ghọọkwara ndị gbara anyị gburugburu ihe ịchị ọchị, na ihe ịkwa emo.
5 Till when, O Jehovah? art Thou angry for ever? Thy jealousy doth burn as fire.
O Onyenwe anyị, ruo olee mgbe? Ị ga-ewe iwe ruo mgbe ebighị ebi? Ruo olee mgbe ka ekworo gị ga na-ere dịka ọkụ?
6 Pour Thy fury on the nations who have not known Thee, And on kingdoms that have not called in Thy name.
Wụkwasị mba niile ndị na-amaghị gị dịka Chineke oke iwe gị, bụ alaeze niile ndị ahụ na-adịghị akpọku aha gị;
7 For [one] hath devoured Jacob, And his habitation they have made desolate.
nʼihi na ha eripịala Jekọb mekwaa ka ebe obibi ya tọgbọrọ nʼefu.
8 Remember not for us the iniquities of forefathers, Haste, let Thy mercies go before us, For we have been very weak.
Atala anyị ahụhụ mmehie nke nna nna anyị mere; ka ebere gị bịa ngwangwa zute anyị, nʼihi na anyị nọ nʼọnọdụ oke mkpa.
9 Help us, O God of our salvation, Because of the honour of Thy name, And deliver us, and cover over our sins, For Thy name's sake.
Nyere anyị aka, O Chineke, Onye Nzọpụta anyị, nʼihi ebube nke aha gị; napụta anyị, gbaghara mmehie anyị niile nʼihi aha gị.
10 Why do the nations say, 'Where [is] their God?' Let be known among the nations before our eyes, The vengeance of the blood of Thy servants that is shed.
Gịnị mere ndị mba ọzọ ji na-ajụ ajụjụ sị, “Olee ebe Chineke ha nọ?” Nʼihu anyị, mee ka a mara nʼetiti ndị mba ọzọ, na ị na-abọ ọbọ ọbara ndị ohu gị niile a wufuru.
11 Let the groaning of the prisoner come in before Thee, According to the greatness of Thine arm, Leave Thou the sons of death.
Gee ntị nʼịsụ ude nke ndị nọ nʼụlọ mkpọrọ; site nʼike nke aka gị chebe ndị niile a mara ikpe ọnwụ.
12 And turn Thou back to our neighbours, Sevenfold unto their bosom, their reproach, Wherewith they reproached Thee, O Lord.
Bọọ ọbọ ugboro asaa megide ndị agbataobi anyị nʼihi ụta ha tara gị, O Onyenwe anyị.
13 And we, Thy people, and the flock of Thy pasture, We give thanks to Thee to the age, To all generations we recount Thy praise!
Mgbe ahụ, anyị bụ ndị gị, ụmụ igwe atụrụ gị ga-eto gị ruo mgbe niile ebighị ebi; anyị ga na-ekwupụta otuto gị, site nʼọgbọ ruo nʼọgbọ.
