< Psalms 73 >
1 A Psalm of Asaph. Only — good to Israel [is] God, to the clean of heart. And I — as a little thing, My feet have been turned aside,
Salimo la Asafu. Mulungu ndi wabwino ndithu kwa Israeli, kwa iwo amene ndi oyera mtima.
2 As nothing, have my steps slipped, For I have been envious of the boastful,
Koma kunena za ine, mapazi anga anali pafupi kuterereka; ndinatsala pangʼono kugwa.
3 The peace of the wicked I see, That there are no bands at their death,
Pakuti ndinkachitira nsanje odzitamandira, pamene ndinaona mtendere wa anthu oyipa.
4 And their might [is] firm.
Iwo alibe zosautsa; matupi awo ndi athanzi ndi amphamvu.
5 In the misery of mortals they are not, And with common men they are not plagued.
Saona mavuto monga anthu ena; sazunzika ngati anthu ena onse.
6 Therefore hath pride encircled them, Violence covereth them as a dress.
Nʼchifukwa chake kunyada kuli monga mkanda wa mʼkhosi mwawo; amadziveka chiwawa.
7 Their eye hath come out from fat. The imaginations of the heart transgressed;
Mʼmitima yawo yokhota mumachokera zolakwa; zoyipa zochokera mʼmaganizo awo sizidziwa malire.
8 They do corruptly, And they speak in the wickedness of oppression, From on high they speak.
Iwowo amanyogodola ndi kumayankhula zoyipa; mwa kudzikuza kwawo amaopseza ena nʼkumati, “Tikuponderezani.”
9 They have set in the heavens their mouth, And their tongue walketh in the earth.
Pakamwa pawo pamayankhula monyoza Mulungu kumwamba ndipo lilime lawo limayenda pa dziko lapansi.
10 Therefore do His people return hither, And waters of fulness are wrung out to them.
Nʼchifukwa chake anthu awo amapita kwa iwowo ndi kumwa madzi mochuluka.
11 And they have said, 'How hath God known? And is there knowledge in the Most High?'
Iwo amati, “Kodi Mulungu angadziwe bwanji? Kodi Wammwambamwamba angadziwe kalikonse?”
12 Lo, these [are] the wicked and easy ones of the age, They have increased strength.
Umu ndi mmene oyipa alili; nthawi zonse ali pabwino ndipo chuma chawo chimachulukirachulukira.
13 Only — a vain thing! I have purified my heart, And I wash in innocency my hands,
Ndithudi ine ndawusunga pachabe mtima wanga woyera; pachabe ndasamba mʼmanja mwanga mwa kusalakwa kwanga.
14 And I am plagued all the day, And my reproof [is] every morning.
Tsiku lonse ndapeza mavuto; ndakhala ndi kulangidwa mmawa uliwonse.
15 If I have said, 'I recount thus,' Lo, a generation of Thy sons I have deceived.
Ndikanati, “Ndidzayankhula motere,” ndikanachita chosakhulupirika kwa ana anu.
16 And I think to know this, Perverseness it [is] in mine eyes,
Pamene ndinayesa kuti ndimvetse zonsezi, zinandisautsa kwambiri
17 Till I come in to the sanctuaries of God, I attend to their latter end.
kufikira nditalowa mʼmalo opatulika a Mulungu; pamenepo ndinamvetsa mathero awo.
18 Only, in slippery places Thou dost set them, Thou hast caused them to fall to desolations.
Zoonadi Inu munawayika pa malo woterera; Mumawagwetsa pansi kuti awonongeke.
19 How have they become a desolation as in a moment, They have been ended — consumed from terrors.
Mwamsangamsanga iwo amawonongedwa, amasesedwa kwathunthu ndi mantha!
20 As a dream from awakening, O Lord, In awaking, their image Thou despisest.
Monga loto pamene wina adzuka, kotero pamene Inu muuka, Inu Ambuye, mudzawanyoza ngati maloto chabe.
21 For my heart doth show itself violent, And my reins prick themselves,
Pamene mtima wanga unasautsidwa ndi kuwawidwa mu mzimu mwanga,
22 And I am brutish, and do not know. A beast I have been with Thee.
ndinali wopusa ndi wosadziwa; ndinali chirombo chopanda nzeru pamaso panu.
23 And I [am] continually with Thee, Thou hast laid hold on my right hand.
Komabe ineyo ndili ndi Inu nthawi zonse; mumandigwira dzanja langa lamanja.
24 With Thy counsel Thou dost lead me, And after honour dost receive me.
Inu mumanditsogolera ndi malangizo anu ndipo pambuyo pake mudzanditenga ku ulemerero.
25 Whom have I in the heavens? And with Thee none I have desired in earth.
Kodi kumwamba ndili ndi yani kupatula Inu? Ndipo dziko lapansi lilibe chilichonse chimene ndimachilakalaka koposa Inuyo.
26 Consumed hath been my flesh and my heart, The rock of my heart and my portion [is] God to the age.
Thupi ndi mtima wanga zitha kufowoka, koma Mulungu ndiye mphamvu ya mtima wanga ndi cholandira changa kwamuyaya.
27 For, lo, those far from Thee do perish, Thou hast cut off every one, Who is going a whoring from Thee.
Iwo amene ali kutali ndi Inu adzawonongeka; Inu mumawononga onse osakhulupirika pamaso panu.
28 And I — nearness of God to me [is] good, I have placed in the Lord Jehovah my refuge, To recount all Thy works!
Koma kunena za Ine ndi kwabwino kukhala pafupi ndi Mulungu. Ndatsimikiza kuti Ambuye Yehova ndiwo pothawirapo panga ndipo ndidzalalika ntchito zanu zonse.
