< Psalms 54 >

1 To the Overseer with stringed instruments. — An instruction, by David, in the coming in of the Ziphim, and they say to Saul, 'Is not David hiding himself with us?' O God, by Thy name save me, and by Thy might judge me.
Ki he Takimuʻa ʻi he Nekina ko e Saame akonaki ʻa Tevita, ʻi he haʻu ʻae kakai Sifi, ʻonau pehē kia Saula, ʻIkai ʻoku fufū ʻa Tevita ʻiate kimautolu? Fakamoʻui au, ʻE ʻOtua, ʻi ho huafa, mo ke fakamaau au ʻi ho mālohi.
2 O God, hear my prayer, Give ear to the sayings of my mouth,
Fanongo mai ki heʻeku lotu, ʻE ʻOtua fakafanongo ki he ngaahi lea ʻa hoku ngutu.
3 For strangers have risen up against me And terrible ones have sought my soul, They have not set God before them. (Selah)
He kuo tuʻu hake kiate au ʻae kau muli, pea ʻoku kumi hoku laumālie ʻe he kau fakamālohi: ʻoku ʻikai te nau fokotuʻu ʻae ʻOtua ʻi honau ʻao. (Sila)
4 Lo, God [is] a helper to me, The Lord [is] with those supporting my soul,
Vakai, ko hoku tokoni ʻae ʻOtua: ʻoku ʻiate kinautolu ʻoku poupou hoku laumālie ʻae ʻEiki.
5 Turn back doth the evil thing to mine enemies, In Thy truth cut them off.
‌ʻE totongi ʻe ia ʻaki ʻae kovi ki hoku ngaahi fili: ke ke motuhi ʻakinautolu ʻi ho moʻoni.
6 With a free will-offering I sacrifice to Thee, I thank Thy name, O Jehovah, for [it is] good,
Te u ʻatu fiemālie pē ʻae feilaulau kiate koe: te u fakamālō ki ho huafa, ʻE Sihova he ʻoku lelei ia.
7 For, from all adversity He delivered me, And on mine enemies hath mine eye looked!
He kuo ne fakamoʻui au mei he mamahi kotoa pē: pea kuo mamata ʻe hoku mata ki hoku ngaahi fili.
