< Psalms 48 >
1 A Song, a Psalm, by sons of Korah. Great [is] Jehovah, and praised greatly, In the city of our God — His holy hill.
Oluyimba. Zabbuli ya Batabani ba Koola. Mukama mukulu, asaanira okutenderezebwa ennyo mu kibuga kya Katonda waffe, ku lusozi lwe olutukuvu.
2 Beautiful [for] elevation, A joy of all the land, [is] Mount Zion, The sides of the north, the city of a great king.
Sayuuni lwe lusozi lwe olulungi olugulumivu, olusanyusa ensi yonna. Ku ntikko Zafoni kwe kuli ekibuga kya Kabaka Omukulu;
3 God in her high places is known for a tower.
Katonda mw’abeera; yeeraze okuba ekigo kye.
4 For, lo, the kings met, they passed by together,
Kale laba, bakabaka b’ensi baakuŋŋaana ne bakyolekera bakirumbe;
5 They have seen — so they have marvelled, They have been troubled, they were hastened away.
bwe baakituukako ne bakyewuunya, ne batya nnyo ne badduka;
6 Trembling hath seized them there, Pain, as of a travailing woman.
nga bakankana, ne bajjula obulumi ng’omukazi alumwa okuzaala.
7 By an east wind Thou shiverest ships of Tarshish.
Wabazikiriza ng’omuyaga ogw’ebuvanjuba bwe guzikiriza ebyombo by’e Talusiisi.
8 As we have heard, so we have seen, In the city of Jehovah of hosts, In the city of our God, God doth establish her — to the age. (Selah)
Ebyo bye twawuliranga obuwulizi, kaakano tubirabye mu kibuga kya Mukama ow’Eggye, mu kibuga kya Katonda waffe, kyalinywereza ddala emirembe gyonna.
9 We have thought, O God, of Thy kindness, In the midst of Thy temple,
Ayi Katonda, tufumiitiriza ku kwagala kwo okutaggwaawo nga tuli mu Yeekaalu yo.
10 As [is] Thy name, O God, so [is] Thy praise, Over the ends of the earth, Righteousness hath filled Thy right hand.
Erinnya lyo nga bwe liri ekkulu, Ayi Katonda, bw’otyo bw’otenderezebwa mu nsi yonna. Omukono gwo ogwa ddyo gujjudde obuwanguzi.
11 Rejoice doth Mount Zion, The daughters of Judah are joyful, For the sake of Thy judgments.
Sanyuka gwe Sayuuni, musanyuke mmwe ebibuga bya Yuda; kubanga Katonda alamula bya nsonga.
12 Compass Zion, and go round her, count her towers,
Mutambule mu Sayuuni, mukibune; mubale n’ebigo byakyo.
13 Set your heart to her bulwark, Consider her high places, So that ye recount to a later generation,
Mwekalirize nnyo munda wa bbugwe waakyo n’olusiisira lw’amaggye lwamu lwonna; mulyoke mutegeeze ab’emirembe egiriddawo.
14 That this God [is] our God — To the age and for ever, He — he doth lead us over death!
Kubanga Katonda ono, ye Katonda waffe emirembe gyonna; y’anaatuluŋŋamyanga ennaku zonna okutuusa okufa.
