Psalms 47

1 To the Overseer. — By sons of Korah. A Psalm. All ye peoples, clap the hand, Shout to God with a voice of singing,

Salmo para o regente, dos filhos de Coré: Vós todos os povos, batei palmas; clamai a Deus com voz de alegria.

2 For Jehovah Most High [is] fearful, A great king over all the earth.

Porque o SENHOR Altíssimo [é] temível, o grande Rei sobre toda a terra.

3 He leadeth peoples under us, and nations under our feet.

Ele subjugará aos povos debaixo de nós, e as nações debaixo de nossos pés.

4 He doth choose for us our inheritance, The excellency of Jacob that He loves. (Selah)

Ele escolhe para nós nossa herança, a glória de Jacó, a quem ele amou. (Selá)

5 God hath gone up with a shout, Jehovah with the sound of a trumpet.

Deus sobe com gritos de alegria; o SENHOR, com voz de trombeta.

6 Praise God — praise — give praise to our king, praise.

Cantai louvores a Deus, cantai; cantai louvores ao nosso Rei, cantai.

7 For king of all the earth [is] God, Give praise, O understanding one.

Porque Deus é o Rei de toda a terra; cantai louvores com entendimento.

8 God hath reigned over nations, God hath sat on His holy throne,

Deus reina sobre as nações; Deus se senta sobre o trono de sua santidade.

9 Nobles of peoples have been gathered, [With] the people of the God of Abraham, For to God [are] the shields of earth, Greatly hath He been exalted!

Os chefes dos povos se juntaram ao povo do Deus de Abraão, porque os escudos da terra pertencem a Deus, [e] ele é muito exaltado.
