Psalms 33
1 Sing, ye righteous, in Jehovah, For upright ones praise [is] comely.
¡Alégrense en Yahvé, justos! La alabanza es propia de los rectos.
2 Give ye thanks to Jehovah with a harp, With psaltery of ten strings sing praise to Him,
Da gracias a Yahvé con la lira. Cántale alabanzas con el arpa de diez cuerdas.
3 Sing ye to Him a new song, Play skilfully with shouting.
Cántale una nueva canción. ¡Juega con habilidad y con un grito de alegría!
4 For upright [is] the word of Jehovah, And all His work [is] in faithfulness.
Porque la palabra de Yahvé es justa. Todo su trabajo se realiza con fidelidad.
5 Loving righteousness and judgment, Of the kindness of Jehovah is the earth full.
Ama la rectitud y la justicia. La tierra está llena de la bondad amorosa de Yahvé.
6 By the word of Jehovah The heavens have been made, And by the breath of His mouth all their host.
Por la palabra de Yahvé se hicieron los cielos: todo su ejército por el aliento de su boca.
7 Gathering as a heap the waters of the sea, Putting in treasuries the depths.
Reúne las aguas del mar como un montón. Él guarda las profundidades en almacenes.
8 Afraid of Jehovah are all the earth, Of Him are all the inhabitants of the world afraid.
Que toda la tierra tema a Yahvé. Que todos los habitantes del mundo le teman.
9 For He hath said, and it is, He hath commanded, and it standeth.
Porque él habló, y fue hecho. Lo ordenó, y se mantuvo firme.
10 Jehovah made void the counsel of nations, He disallowed the thoughts of the peoples.
Yahvé hace fracasar el consejo de las naciones. Hace que los pensamientos de los pueblos no tengan efecto.
11 The counsel of Jehovah to the age standeth, The thoughts of His heart to all generations.
El consejo de Yahvé se mantiene firme para siempre, los pensamientos de su corazón a todas las generaciones.
12 O the happiness of the nation whose God [is] Jehovah, Of the people He did choose, For an inheritance to Him.
Bendita es la nación cuyo Dios es Yahvé, el pueblo que ha elegido para su propia herencia.
13 From the heavens hath Jehovah looked, He hath seen all the sons of men.
Yahvé mira desde el cielo. Él ve a todos los hijos de los hombres.
14 From the fixed place of His dwelling, He looked unto all inhabitants of the earth;
Desde el lugar de su morada mira a todos los habitantes de la tierra,
15 Who is forming their hearts together, Who is attending unto all their works.
el que modela todos sus corazones; y considera todas sus obras.
16 The king is not saved by the multitude of a force. A mighty man is not delivered, By abundance of power.
No hay rey que se salve por la multitud de un ejército. Un hombre poderoso no se libra por su gran fuerza.
17 A false thing [is] the horse for safety, And by the abundance of his strength He doth not deliver.
Un caballo es una cosa vana para la seguridad, ni libera a ninguno por su gran poder.
18 Lo, the eye of Jehovah [is] to those fearing Him, To those waiting for His kindness,
He aquí que el ojo de Yahvé está sobre los que le temen, a los que esperan en su amorosa bondad,
19 To deliver from death their soul, And to keep them alive in famine.
para librar su alma de la muerte, para mantenerlos vivos en la hambruna.
20 Our soul hath waited for Jehovah, Our help and our shield [is] He,
Nuestra alma ha esperado a Yahvé. Él es nuestra ayuda y nuestro escudo.
21 For in Him doth our heart rejoice, For in His holy name we have trusted.
Porque nuestro corazón se regocija en él, porque hemos confiado en su santo nombre.
22 Let Thy kindness, O Jehovah, be upon us, As we have waited for Thee!
Que tu bondad sea con nosotros, Yahvé, ya que hemos esperado en ti.
