Psalms 33
1 Sing, ye righteous, in Jehovah, For upright ones praise [is] comely.
१हे धर्मियों, यहोवा के कारण जयजयकार करो। क्योंकि धर्मी लोगों को स्तुति करना शोभा देता है।
2 Give ye thanks to Jehovah with a harp, With psaltery of ten strings sing praise to Him,
२वीणा बजा-बजाकर यहोवा का धन्यवाद करो, दस तारवाली सारंगी बजा-बजाकर उसका भजन गाओ।
3 Sing ye to Him a new song, Play skilfully with shouting.
३उसके लिये नया गीत गाओ, जयजयकार के साथ भली भाँति बजाओ।
4 For upright [is] the word of Jehovah, And all His work [is] in faithfulness.
४क्योंकि यहोवा का वचन सीधा है; और उसका सब काम निष्पक्षता से होता है।
5 Loving righteousness and judgment, Of the kindness of Jehovah is the earth full.
५वह धार्मिकता और न्याय से प्रीति रखता है; यहोवा की करुणा से पृथ्वी भरपूर है।
6 By the word of Jehovah The heavens have been made, And by the breath of His mouth all their host.
६आकाशमण्डल यहोवा के वचन से, और उसके सारे गण उसके मुँह की श्वास से बने।
7 Gathering as a heap the waters of the sea, Putting in treasuries the depths.
७वह समुद्र का जल ढेर के समान इकट्ठा करता; वह गहरे सागर को अपने भण्डार में रखता है।
8 Afraid of Jehovah are all the earth, Of Him are all the inhabitants of the world afraid.
८सारी पृथ्वी के लोग यहोवा से डरें, जगत के सब निवासी उसका भय मानें!
9 For He hath said, and it is, He hath commanded, and it standeth.
९क्योंकि जब उसने कहा, तब हो गया; जब उसने आज्ञा दी, तब वास्तव में वैसा ही हो गया।
10 Jehovah made void the counsel of nations, He disallowed the thoughts of the peoples.
१०यहोवा जाति-जाति की युक्ति को व्यर्थ कर देता है; वह देश-देश के लोगों की कल्पनाओं को निष्फल करता है।
11 The counsel of Jehovah to the age standeth, The thoughts of His heart to all generations.
११यहोवा की योजना सर्वदा स्थिर रहेगी, उसके मन की कल्पनाएँ पीढ़ी से पीढ़ी तक बनी रहेंगी।
12 O the happiness of the nation whose God [is] Jehovah, Of the people He did choose, For an inheritance to Him.
१२क्या ही धन्य है वह जाति जिसका परमेश्वर यहोवा है, और वह समाज जिसे उसने अपना निज भाग होने के लिये चुन लिया हो!
13 From the heavens hath Jehovah looked, He hath seen all the sons of men.
१३यहोवा स्वर्ग से दृष्टि करता है, वह सब मनुष्यों को निहारता है;
14 From the fixed place of His dwelling, He looked unto all inhabitants of the earth;
१४अपने निवास के स्थान से वह पृथ्वी के सब रहनेवालों को देखता है,
15 Who is forming their hearts together, Who is attending unto all their works.
१५वही जो उन सभी के हृदयों को गढ़ता, और उनके सब कामों का विचार करता है।
16 The king is not saved by the multitude of a force. A mighty man is not delivered, By abundance of power.
१६कोई ऐसा राजा नहीं, जो सेना की बहुतायत के कारण बच सके; वीर अपनी बड़ी शक्ति के कारण छूट नहीं जाता।
17 A false thing [is] the horse for safety, And by the abundance of his strength He doth not deliver.
१७विजय पाने के लिए घोड़ा व्यर्थ सुरक्षा है, वह अपने बड़े बल के द्वारा किसी को नहीं बचा सकता है।
18 Lo, the eye of Jehovah [is] to those fearing Him, To those waiting for His kindness,
१८देखो, यहोवा की दृष्टि उसके डरवैयों पर और उन पर जो उसकी करुणा की आशा रखते हैं, बनी रहती है,
19 To deliver from death their soul, And to keep them alive in famine.
१९कि वह उनके प्राण को मृत्यु से बचाए, और अकाल के समय उनको जीवित रखे।
20 Our soul hath waited for Jehovah, Our help and our shield [is] He,
२०हम यहोवा की बाट जोहते हैं; वह हमारा सहायक और हमारी ढाल ठहरा है।
21 For in Him doth our heart rejoice, For in His holy name we have trusted.
२१हमारा हृदय उसके कारण आनन्दित होगा, क्योंकि हमने उसके पवित्र नाम का भरोसा रखा है।
22 Let Thy kindness, O Jehovah, be upon us, As we have waited for Thee!
२२हे यहोवा, जैसी तुझ पर हमारी आशा है, वैसी ही तेरी करुणा भी हम पर हो।
