Psalms 32

1 By David. — An Instruction. O the happiness of him whose transgression [is] forgiven, Whose sin is covered.

दावीद की मसकील गीत रचना धन्य हैं वे, जिनके अपराध क्षमा कर दिए गए, जिनके पापों को ढांप दिया गया है.

2 O the happiness of a man, To whom Jehovah imputeth not iniquity, And in whose spirit there is no deceit.

धन्य है वह व्यक्ति, जिसके पापों का हिसाब याहवेह कभी न लेंगे. तथा जिसके हृदय में कोई कपट नहीं है.

3 When I have kept silence, become old have my bones, Through my roaring all the day.

जब तक मैंने अपना पाप छिपाए रखा, दिन भर कराहते रहने के कारण, मेरी हड्डियां क्षीण होती चली गईं,

4 When by day and by night Thy hand is heavy upon me, My moisture hath been changed Into the droughts of summer. (Selah)

क्योंकि दिन-रात आपका हाथ मुझ पर भारी था; मेरा बल मानो ग्रीष्मकाल की ताप से सूख गया.

5 My sin I cause Thee to know, And mine iniquity I have not covered. I have said, 'I confess concerning My transgressions to Jehovah,' And Thou — Thou hast taken away, The iniquity of my sin. (Selah)

तब मैंने अपना पाप अंगीकार किया, मैंने अपना अपराध नहीं छिपाया. मैंने निश्चय किया, “मैं याहवेह के सामने अपने अपराध स्वीकार करूंगा.” जब मैंने आपके सामने अपना पाप स्वीकार किया तब आपने मेरे अपराध का दोष क्षमा किया.

6 For this doth every saintly one pray to Thee, As the time to find. Surely at an overflowing of many waters, Unto him they come not.

इसलिये आपके सभी श्रद्धालु, जब तक संभव है आपसे प्रार्थना करते रहें. तब, जब संकट का प्रबल जल प्रवाह आएगा, वह उनको स्पर्श न कर सकेगा.

7 Thou [art] a hiding-place for me, From distress Thou dost keep me, [With] songs of deliverance dost compass me. (Selah)

आप मेरे आश्रय-स्थल हैं; आप ही मुझे संकट से बचाएंगे और मुझे उद्धार के विजय घोष से घेर लेंगे.

8 I cause thee to act wisely, And direct thee in the way that thou goest, I cause mine eye to take counsel concerning thee.

याहवेह ने कहा, मैं तुम्हें सद्बुद्धि प्रदान करूंगा तथा उपयुक्त मार्ग के लिए तुम्हारी अगुवाई करूंगा; मैं तुम्हें सम्मति दूंगा और तुम्हारी रक्षा करता रहूंगा.

9 Be ye not as a horse — as a mule, Without understanding, With bridle and bit, its ornaments, to curb, Not to come near unto thee.

तुम्हारी मनोवृत्ति न तो घोड़े समान हो, न खच्चर समान, जिनमें समझ ही नहीं होती. उन्हें तो रास और लगाम द्वारा नियंत्रित करना पड़ता है, अन्यथा वे तुम्हारे निकट नहीं आते.

10 Many [are] the pains of the wicked; As to him who is trusting in Jehovah, Kindness doth compass him.

दुष्ट अपने ऊपर अनेक संकट ले आते हैं, किंतु याहवेह का करुणा-प्रेम उनके सच्चे लोगों को घेरे हुए उसकी सुरक्षा करता रहता है.

11 Be glad in Jehovah, and rejoice, ye righteous, And sing, all ye upright of heart!

याहवेह में उल्‍लसित होओ और आनंद मनाओ, धर्मियो गाओ; तुम सभी, जो सीधे मनवाले हो, हर्षोल्लास में जय जयकार करो!
