Psalms 29

1 A Psalm of David. Ascribe to Jehovah, ye sons of the mighty, Ascribe to Jehovah honour and strength.

Mazmur Daud. Kepada TUHAN, hai penghuni sorgawi, kepada TUHAN sajalah kemuliaan dan kekuatan!

2 Ascribe to Jehovah the honour of His name, Bow yourselves to Jehovah, In the beauty of holiness.

Berilah kepada TUHAN kemuliaan nama-Nya, sujudlah kepada TUHAN dengan berhiaskan kekudusan!

3 The voice of Jehovah [is] on the waters, The God of glory hath thundered, Jehovah [is] on many waters.

Suara TUHAN di atas air, Allah yang mulia mengguntur, TUHAN di atas air yang besar.

4 The voice of Jehovah [is] with power, The voice of Jehovah [is] with majesty,

Suara TUHAN penuh kekuatan, suara TUHAN penuh semarak.

5 The voice of Jehovah [is] shivering cedars, Yea, Jehovah shivers the cedars of Lebanon.

Suara TUHAN mematahkan pohon aras, bahkan, TUHAN menumbangkan pohon aras Libanon.

6 And He causeth them to skip as a calf, Lebanon and Sirion as a son of Reems,

Ia membuat gunung Libanon melompat-lompat seperti anak lembu, dan gunung Siryon seperti anak banteng.

7 The voice of Jehovah is hewing fiery flames,

Suara TUHAN menyemburkan nyala api.

8 The voice of Jehovah paineth a wilderness, Jehovah paineth the wilderness of Kadesh.

Suara TUHAN membuat padang gurun gemetar, TUHAN membuat padang gurun Kadesh gemetar.

9 The voice of Jehovah paineth the oaks, And maketh bare the forests, And in His temple every one saith, 'Glory.'

Suara TUHAN membuat beranak rusa betina yang mengandung, bahkan, hutan digundulinya; dan di dalam bait-Nya setiap orang berseru: "Hormat!"

10 Jehovah on the deluge hath sat, And Jehovah sitteth king — to the age,

TUHAN bersemayam di atas air bah, TUHAN bersemayam sebagai Raja untuk selama-lamanya.

11 Jehovah strength to his people giveth, Jehovah blesseth His people with peace!

TUHAN kiranya memberikan kekuatan kepada umat-Nya, TUHAN kiranya memberkati umat-Nya dengan sejahtera!
