< Psalms 17 >

1 A Prayer of David. Hear, O Jehovah, righteousness, attend my cry, Give ear [to] my prayer, without lips of deceit.
David ƒe gbedodoɖa. See, O! Yehowa, ɖo to nye ɣlidodo kple nye dzɔdzɔenyenye ƒe kukuɖeɖe. Ƒu to anyi ɖe nye gbedodoɖa si metso alakpanuyiwo me o.
2 From before thee my judgment doth go out; Thine eyes do see uprightly.
Afiatsotso nam netso gbɔwò, eye na wò ŋkuwo nakpɔ nu si le dzɔdzɔe.
3 Thou hast proved my heart, Thou hast inspected by night, Thou hast tried me, Thou findest nothing; My thoughts pass not over my mouth.
Togbɔ be èdzro nye dzi me eye nèlé ŋku ɖe ŋunye tsitotsito le zã me; ne èdom kpɔ hã la, màkpɔ naneke le menye o. Meɖoe kplikpaa be nye nu mawɔ nu vɔ̃ o.
4 As to doings of man, Through a word of Thy lips I have observed The paths of a destroyer;
Le amegbetɔwo ƒe nuwɔnawo me la, metsɔ wò numenya kpɔ ɖokuinye dzii be, nyemage ɖe ame vɔ̃ɖiwo ƒe mɔwo dzi o.
5 To uphold my goings in Thy paths, My steps have not slidden.
Nye afɔɖeɖewo li ɖe wò toƒewo, eye nye afɔ meɖiɖi o.
6 I — I called Thee, for Thou dost answer me, O God, incline Thine ear to me, hear my speech.
Mele yɔwòm, O! Mawu, elabena àtɔ nam; ƒu to anyi ɖe ŋunye, eye nàse nye gbedodoɖa.
7 Separate wonderfully Thy kindness, O Saviour of the confiding, By Thy right hand, from withstanders.
Ɖe wò lɔlɔ̃ gã la ƒe nukunu fia, wò ame si tsɔa wò nuɖusi ɖea ame siwo si wò tso, tso woƒe futɔwo ƒe asi me.
8 Keep me as the apple, the daughter of the eye; In shadow of Thy wings thou dost hide me.
Kpɔ tanye abe wò ŋku ƒe gadaglamakui ene, eye nàɣlam ɖe wò aʋala ƒe vɔvɔli te,
9 From the face of the wicked who spoiled me. Mine enemies in soul go round against me.
ɖem tso ame vɔ̃ɖi siwo le funyafunya wɔmem kple futɔ siwo ɖe to ɖem la ƒe asi me.
10 Their fat they have closed up, Their mouths have spoken with pride:
Wotu woƒe ŋutasẽdziwo, eye wotsɔa woƒe nuwo gblɔa dadanyawoe.
11 'Our steps now have compassed [him];' Their eyes they set to turn aside in the land.
Wodo afɔ nam, eye azɔ la, woɖe to ɖem, woƒe ŋkuwo le te ne woaxlãm ɖe anyigba.
12 His likeness as a lion desirous to tear, As a young lion dwelling in secret places.
Wole abe dzata dɔwui si le nu dim be yealé, hele adeklo dzi le avekɔe me ene.
13 Arise, O Jehovah, go before his face, Cause him to bend. Deliver my soul from the wicked, Thy sword,
O! Yehowa, tso, kpe akɔ kpli wo, he wo ƒu anyi, eye tsɔ wò yi nàɖem le ame vɔ̃ɖiwo ƒe asi me.
14 From men, Thy hand, O Jehovah, From men of the world, their portion [is] in life, And [with] Thy hidden things Thou fillest their belly, They are satisfied [with] sons; And have left their abundance to their sucklings.
O! Yehowa, tsɔ wò asi ɖem le ame siawo tɔgbi kple xexemetɔ siawo ƒe asi me, ame siwo ƒe fetu le agbe sia me. Ètsia ame siwo nèlɔ̃ vevie la ƒe dɔwuame nu; wo viŋutsuwo kpɔ nu nyui geɖe, eye wodzraa kesinɔnuwo ɖo ɖi na wo viwo.
15 I — in righteousness, I see Thy face; I am satisfied, in awaking, [with] Thy form!
Ke nye la, makpɔ wò ŋkume le dzɔdzɔenyenye me, eye ne menyɔ hekpɔ wò nɔnɔme ko la, maɖi ƒo.
