Psalms 149

1 Praise ye Jah! Sing ye to Jehovah a new song, His praise in an assembly of saints.

¡Alaben al Señor! ¡Canten una canción nueva al Señor! ¡Alábenlo en medio de la reunión de sus seguidores fieles!

2 Israel doth rejoice in his Maker, Sons of Zion do joy in their king.

Que Israel celebre a su Creador. Que el pueblo de Sión se alegre en su Rey.

3 They praise His name in a dance, With timbrel and harp sing praise to Him.

Alaben su naturaleza con danza; canten alabanzas a él con acompañamiento de panderetas y harpas.

4 For Jehovah is pleased with His people, He beautifieth the humble with salvation.

Porque el Señor se alegra con su pueblo, y honra a los oprimidos con su salvación.

5 Exult do saints in honour, They sing aloud on their beds.

Que los fieles celebren la honra del Señor, que canten incluso desde sus camas.

6 The exaltation of God [is] in their throat, And a two-edged sword in their hand.

Que sus alabanzas siempre estén en sus labios, que tengan una espada de doble filo en sus manos,

7 To do vengeance among nations, Punishments among the peoples.

listos para vengarse de las naciones, y castigar a los pueblos extranjeros,

8 To bind their kings with chains, And their honoured ones with fetters of iron,

para encarcelar a sus reyes con grilletes y a sus líderes con cadenas de hierro,

9 To do among them the judgment written, An honour it [is] for all his saints. Praise ye Jah!

para imponer el juicio decretado contra ellos. Esta es la honra de sus fieles seguidores. ¡Alaben al Señor!
