< Psalms 148 >

1 Praise ye Jah! Praise ye Jehovah from the heavens, Praise ye Him in high places.
Alleluia. Lodate l’Eterno dai cieli, lodatelo nei luoghi altissimi.
2 Praise ye Him, all His messengers, Praise ye Him, all His hosts.
Lodatelo, voi tutti gli angeli suoi, lodatelo, voi tutti i suoi eserciti!
3 Praise ye Him, sun and moon, Praise ye Him, all stars of light.
Lodatelo, sole e luna, lodatelo voi tutte, stelle lucenti!
4 Praise ye Him, heavens of heavens, And ye waters that are above the heavens.
Lodatelo, cieli dei cieli, e voi acque al disopra dei cieli!
5 They do praise the name of Jehovah, For He commanded, and they were created.
Tutte queste cose lodino il nome dell’Eterno, perch’egli comandò, e furon create;
6 And He establisheth them for ever to the age, A statute He gave, and they pass not over.
ed egli le ha stabilite in sempiterno; ha dato loro una legge che non trapasserà.
7 Praise ye Jehovah from the earth, Dragons and all deeps,
Lodate l’Eterno dalla terra, voi mostri marini e abissi tutti,
8 Fire and hail, snow and vapour, Whirlwind doing His word;
fuoco e gragnuola, neve e vapori, vento impetuoso che eseguisci la sua parola;
9 The mountains and all heights, Fruit tree, and all cedars,
monti e colli tutti, alberi fruttiferi e cedri tutti;
10 The wild beast, and all cattle, Creeping thing, and winged bird,
fiere e tutto il bestiame, rettili e uccelli alati;
11 Kings of earth, and all peoples, Chiefs, and all judges of earth,
re della terra e popoli tutti principi e tutti, i giudici della terra;
12 Young men, and also maidens, Aged men, with youths,
giovani ed anche fanciulle, vecchi e bambini!
13 They praise the name of Jehovah, For His name alone hath been set on high, His honour [is] above earth and heavens.
Lodino il nome dell’Eterno; perché il nome suo solo è esaltato; la sua maestà è al disopra della terra e del cielo.
14 And He exalteth the horn of His people, The praise of all His saints, Of the sons of Israel, a people near Him. Praise ye Jah!
Egli ha ridato forza al suo popolo, dando motivo di lode a tutti i suoi fedeli, ai figliuoli d’Israele, al popolo che gli sta vicino. Alleluia.
