Psalms 145
1 Praise by David. I exalt Thee, my God, O king, And bless Thy name to the age and for ever.
Louange. — De David. Mon Dieu, mon Roi, je t'exalterai; Je bénirai ton nom éternellement, à perpétuité!
2 Every day do I bless Thee, And praise Thy name to the age and for ever.
Chaque jour je te bénirai; Je louerai ton nom éternellement, à perpétuité!
3 Great [is] Jehovah, and praised greatly, And of His greatness there is no searching.
L'Eternel est grand et digne de toute louange, Et l'on ne peut sonder sa grandeur.
4 Generation to generation praiseth Thy works, And Thy mighty acts they declare.
Une génération dira la gloire de tes oeuvres A l'autre génération, Et elles proclameront ta puissance.
5 The honour — the glory of Thy majesty, And the matters of Thy wonders I declare.
Je méditerai la splendeur glorieuse de ta majesté Et de tes actions merveilleuses.
6 And the strength of Thy fearful acts they tell, And Thy greatness I recount.
On célébrera tes oeuvres puissantes et redoutables, Et je raconterai ta grandeur.
7 The memorial of the abundance of Thy goodness they send forth. And Thy righteousness they sing.
On publiera la mémoire de ta grande bonté Et l'on proclamera ta justice.
8 Gracious and merciful [is] Jehovah, Slow to anger, and great in kindness.
L'Eternel est miséricordieux et compatissant. Lent à la colère et riche en bonté.
9 Good [is] Jehovah to all, And His mercies [are] over all His works.
L'Éternel est bon envers tous. Et ses compassions s'étendent sur toutes ses oeuvres.
10 Confess Thee O Jehovah, do all Thy works, And Thy saints do bless Thee.
Éternel, toutes tes oeuvres te célébreront. Et tes fidèles te béniront.
11 The honour of Thy kingdom they tell, And [of] Thy might they speak,
Ils diront la gloire de ton règne, Et ils raconteront ta puissance,
12 To make known to sons of men His mighty acts, The honour of the majesty of His kingdom.
Pour faire connaître aux fils des hommes tes prodiges Et la glorieuse majesté de ton règne.
13 Thy kingdom [is] a kingdom of all ages, And Thy dominion [is] in all generations.
Ton règne est un règne de tous les siècles, Et ta domination dure d'âge en âge.
14 Jehovah is supporting all who are falling, And raising up all who are bowed down.
L'Éternel soutient tous ceux qui tombent, Et il redresse tous ceux qui sont courbés.
15 The eyes of all unto Thee do look, And Thou art giving to them their food in its season,
Toutes les créatures ont les regards tournés vers toi, Et tu leur donnes, en temps opportun, leur nourriture.
16 Opening Thy hand, and satisfying The desire of every living thing.
Tu ouvres ta main. Et tu rassasies à souhait tout être vivant.
17 Righteous [is] Jehovah in all His ways, And kind in all His works.
L'Éternel est juste dans tous ses actes, Et miséricordieux dans toutes ses oeuvres.
18 Near [is] Jehovah to all those calling Him, To all who call Him in truth.
L'Éternel est près de tous ceux qui l'invoquent, De tous ceux qui l'invoquent avec sincérité.
19 The desire of those fearing Him He doth, And their cry He heareth, and saveth them.
Il accomplit les désirs de ceux qui le craignent; Il entend leur cri, et il les délivre.
20 Jehovah preserveth all those loving Him, And all the wicked He destroyeth.
L'Éternel garde tous ceux qui l'aiment; Mais il fera périr tous les méchants.
21 The praise of Jehovah my mouth speaketh, And all flesh doth bless His holy name, To the age and for ever!
Ma bouche publiera la louange de l'Éternel, Et toute créature bénira son saint nom. Éternellement, à perpétuité.
