Psalms 139
1 To the Overseer. — A Psalm by David. Jehovah, Thou hast searched me, and knowest.
੧ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਵਜਾਉਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਦੇ ਲਈ ਦਾਊਦ ਦਾ ਭਜਨ। ਹੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ, ਤੂੰ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਪਰਖ ਲਿਆ ਤੇ ਜਾਣ ਲਿਆ,
2 Thou — Thou hast known my sitting down, And my rising up, Thou hast attended to my thoughts from afar.
੨ਤੂੰ ਮੇਰਾ ਬੈਠਣਾ ਉੱਠਣਾ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਹੈਂ, ਤੂੰ ਮੇਰੀ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਦੂਰ ਤੋਂ ਹੀ ਸਮਝ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈਂ,
3 My path and my couch Thou hast fanned, And [with] all my ways hast been acquainted.
੩ਤੂੰ ਮੇਰੇ ਚੱਲਣੇ ਅਤੇ ਲੇਟਣੇ ਦੀ ਛਾਣਬੀਣ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈਂ, ਅਤੇ ਮੇਰੀਆਂ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਚਾਲਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਵਾਕਫ਼ ਹੈਂ।
4 For there is not a word in my tongue, Lo, O Jehovah, Thou hast known it all!
੪ਮੇਰੀ ਜੀਭ ਉੱਤੇ ਇੱਕ ਗੱਲ ਵੀ ਨਹੀਂ, ਵੇਖ, ਹੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ, ਤੂੰ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਪੂਰੇ ਤੌਰ ਨਾਲ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਹੈਂ।
5 Behind and before Thou hast besieged me, And Thou dost place on me Thy hand.
੫ਤੂੰ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਅੱਗੋਂ ਪਿੱਛੋਂ ਘੇਰ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਹੈ, ਤੂੰ ਆਪਣਾ ਹੱਥ ਮੇਰੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਧਰਿਆ ਹੈ,
6 Knowledge too wonderful for me, It hath been set on high, I am not able for it.
੬ਇਹ ਗਿਆਨ ਮੇਰੇ ਲਈ ਅਚਰਜ਼ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਉੱਚਾ ਹੈ, ਮੈਂ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਜੋਗ ਨਹੀਂ!।
7 Whither do I go from Thy Spirit? And whither from Thy face do I flee?
੭ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਆਤਮਾ ਤੋਂ ਕਿੱਧਰ ਜਾਂਵਾਂ, ਅਤੇ ਤੇਰੀ ਹਜ਼ੂਰੀ ਤੋਂ ਕਿੱਧਰ ਨੱਠਾਂ?
8 If I ascend the heavens — there Thou [art], And spread out a couch in Sheol, lo, Thee! (Sheol h7585)
੮ਜੇ ਮੈਂ ਅਕਾਸ਼ ਉੱਤੇ ਚੜ੍ਹ ਜਾਂਵਾਂ, ਤੂੰ ਉੱਥੇ ਹੈਂ, ਜੇ ਮੈਂ ਪਤਾਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਿਸਤਰਾ ਵਿਛਾਵਾਂ, ਵੇਖ, ਤੂੰ ਉੱਥੇ ਹੈਂ! (Sheol h7585)
9 I take the wings of morning, I dwell in the uttermost part of the sea,
੯ਜੇ ਮੈਂ ਫਜ਼ਰ ਦੇ ਖੰਭ ਲਾ ਲਵਾਂ, ਅਤੇ ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਦੇ ਆਖਿਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਾ ਵੱਸਾਂ,
10 Also there Thy hand doth lead me, And Thy right hand doth hold me.
੧੦ਉੱਥੇ ਵੀ ਤੇਰਾ ਹੱਥ ਮੇਰੀ ਅਗਵਾਈ ਕਰੇਗਾ, ਅਤੇ ਤੇਰਾ ਸੱਜਾ ਹੱਥ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਫੜ ਲਵੇਗਾ!
11 And I say, 'Surely darkness bruiseth me, Then night [is] light to me.
੧੧ਜੇ ਮੈਂ ਆਖਾਂ ਕਿ ਅਨ੍ਹੇਰਾ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਜ਼ਰੂਰ ਢੱਕ ਲਵੇਗਾ, ਅਤੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਇਰਦ-ਗਿਰਦ ਦਾ ਚਾਨਣ ਰਾਤ ਹੋ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ,
12 Also darkness hideth not from Thee, And night as day shineth, as [is] darkness so [is] light.
੧੨ਫੇਰ ਵੀ ਅਨ੍ਹੇਰਾ ਤੈਥੋਂ ਨਾ ਛਿਪਾਵੇਗਾ, ਅਤੇ ਰਾਤ-ਦਿਨ ਵਾਂਗੂੰ ਚਮਕੇਗੀ, ਸੋ ਅਨ੍ਹੇਰਾ ਤੇ ਚਾਨਣ ਇੱਕੋ ਜਿਹੇ ਹਨ!।
13 For Thou — Thou hast possessed my reins, Thou dost cover me in my mother's belly.
੧੩ਤੂੰ ਤਾਂ ਮੇਰੇ ਅੰਦਰਲੇ ਅੰਗ ਰਚੇ, ਤੂੰ ਮੇਰੀ ਮਾਂ ਦੀ ਕੁੱਖ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਢੱਕਿਆ।
14 I confess Thee, because that [with] wonders I have been distinguished. Wonderful [are] Thy works, And my soul is knowing [it] well.
੧੪ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰਾ ਧੰਨਵਾਦ ਕਰਾਂਗਾ, ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਮੈਂ ਭਿਆਨਕ ਰੀਤੀ ਤੇ ਅਚਰਜ਼ ਹਾਂ, ਤੇਰੇ ਕੰਮ ਅਚਰਜ਼ ਹਨ, ਅਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਖੂਬ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਹਾਂ!
15 My substance was not hid from Thee, When I was made in secret, Curiously wrought in the lower part of earth.
੧੫ਮੇਰੀਆਂ ਹੱਡੀਆਂ ਤੈਥੋਂ ਲੁੱਕੀਆਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਨ, ਜਦ ਮੈਂ ਗੁਪਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਣਾਇਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ, ਅਤੇ ਧਰਤੀ ਦਿਆਂ ਹੇਠਲਿਆਂ ਥਾਵਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੇਰਾ ਰਸੀਦਾ ਕੱਢੀਦਾ ਸੀ।
16 Mine unformed substance Thine eyes saw, And on Thy book all of them are written, The days they were formed — And not one among them.
੧੬ਤੇਰੀਆਂ ਅੱਖਾਂ ਨੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਬੇਡੌਲ ਮਲਬੇ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖਿਆ, ਅਤੇ ਤੇਰੀ ਪੋਥੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਭ ਲਿਖੇ ਗਏ, ਦਿਨ ਮਿਥੇ ਗਏ, ਜਦ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਇੱਕ ਵੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੀ।
17 And to me how precious have been Thy thoughts, O God, how great hath been their sum!
੧੭ਹੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ, ਤੇਰੇ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਮੇਰੇ ਲਈ ਕੇਡੇ ਬਹੁਮੁੱਲੇ ਹਨ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਜੋੜ ਕੇਡਾ ਵੱਡਾ ਹੈ!
18 I recount them! than the sand they are more, I have waked, and I am still with Thee.
੧੮ਜੇ ਮੈਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਗਿਣਾ, ਓਹ ਰੇਤ ਦੇ ਦਾਣਿਆਂ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਵੀ ਵੱਧ ਹਨ, ਜਦ ਮੈਂ ਜਾਗ ਉੱਠਦਾ ਹਾਂ, ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹਾਂ।
19 Dost Thou slay, O God, the wicked? Then, men of blood, turn aside from me!
੧੯ਹੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ, ਤੂੰ ਜ਼ਰੂਰ ਦੁਸ਼ਟਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੱਢ ਸੁੱਟੇਂਗਾ, ਹੇ ਖੂਨੀਓ, ਮੈਥੋਂ ਦੂਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਓ!
20 Who exchange Thee for wickedness, Lifted up to vanity [are] Thine enemies.
੨੦ਜਿਹੜੇ ਤੇਰੇ ਵਿਖੇ ਬੁਰੀ ਚਰਚਾ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਓਹ ਤੇਰੇ ਵੈਰੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਵਿਅਰਥ ਉੱਚਾ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ!
21 Do not I hate, Jehovah, those hating Thee? And with Thy withstanders grieve myself?
੨੧ਹੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ, ਕੀ ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਵੈਰੀਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਵੈਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਰੱਖਦਾ? ਅਤੇ ਤੇਰੇ ਵਿਰੋਧੀਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਗਰੰਜ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੁੰਦਾ?
22 [With] perfect hatred I have hated them, Enemies they have become to me.
੨੨ਮੈਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਪੂਰਾ ਪੂਰਾ ਵੈਰ ਰੱਖਦਾ ਹਾਂ, ਓਹ ਮੇਰੇ ਵੈਰੀ ਹੋ ਗਏ ਹਨ।
23 Search me, O God, and know my heart, Try me, and know my thoughts,
੨੩ਹੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ, ਮੈਨੂੰ ਪਰਖ ਅਤੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਦਿਲ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਣ, ਮੈਨੂੰ ਜਾਚ ਅਤੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਖਿਆਲਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਣ,
24 And see if a grievous way be in me, And lead me in a way age-during!
੨੪ਅਤੇ ਵੇਖ ਕਿਤੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੋਈ ਭੈੜੀ ਚਾਲ ਤਾਂ ਨਹੀਂ? ਅਤੇ ਸਦੀਪਕ ਰਾਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੇਰੀ ਅਗਵਾਈ ਕਰ!
