< Psalms 129 >
1 A Song of the Ascents. Often they distressed me from my youth, Pray, let Israel say:
Yon chan pou monte vè tanp lan. “Anpil fwa, yo te pèsekite mwen soti nan jenès mwen. Kite Israël di koulye a:
2 Often they distressed me from my youth, Yet they have not prevailed over me.
“Anpil fwa, yo te pèsekite mwen soti nan jenès mwen, men yo pa janm reyisi kont mwen.
3 Over my back have ploughers ploughed, They have made long their furrows.
Labourè yo te laboure chan yo sou do m. Yo fè tranch tè yo vin pi long.”
4 Jehovah [is] righteous, He hath cut asunder cords of the wicked.
SENYÈ a dwat. Kòd a mechan yo, Li te koupe yo fè bout.
5 Confounded and turn backward do all hating Zion.
Ke tout (sila) ki rayi Sion yo vin wont! Ke yo retounen fè bak menm.
6 They are as grass of the roofs, That before it was drawn out withereth,
Kite yo vin tankou zèb sou kay la; zèb ki fennen avan li grandi,
7 That hath not filled the hand of a reaper, And the bosom of a binder of sheaves.
jis moun rekòlt la p ap kapab plen men l, oubyen (sila) ki mare pote pake a, pa p ka plen lestomak li.
8 And the passers by have not said, 'The blessing of Jehovah [is] on you, We blessed you in the Name of Jehovah!'
Ni (sila) ki pase yo, p ap di: “Ke benediksyon SENYÈ a rete avèk ou. Nou beni ou nan non SENYÈ a.”
